Have spoken with a developer at codeable. This is what I / We have come up with for a shipping solution. The plugin he is creating for it will be done next week. Curious if anyone likes this method and if so would anyone would be willing to split the cost?

4 Variables the vendor can control on their admin side with the option of flat rate shipping as well. It’s not real time shipping rates but its about as good as it can get i imagine, and beats a per product shipping.

Vendors set price ranges these are just examples.

    $1 – $15 = $5 Shipping
    $15 – $30 = $9 Shipping
    $30 – $70 = $15 Shipping
    $70+ = $Free Shipping
$20 Flat rate fee no matter the ammount

dude! I think thats all in v1.4 so don’t fork out any money yet.

find a way for the developer to make local pickup an option from within wcvendors, there are plenty of people that will chip in for that.

I’ve been diagnosed with colour blindness today

it’s come right out of the purple

    @asportsman Adam:
    v1.4 shipping features:
So far, for Flat Rate, we should have these features added:
Minimum spend per vendor for shipping (store level)
Maximum spend per vendor for shipping (store level)
Max spend per product ( Charge no more than X no matter qty ) (product and store level)
Per order flat rates ie: $5 no matter the items international and national (store level)
Free shipping over x spend ( store level, product level? )

For country Table rate, these features should be added:
    zip codes
    zip code wildcard
    zip code ranges
    qty overrides per entry
Max spend no more than $X no matter qty (product and store level)
Remove any flat rate shipping options from shipping configuration in admin area when selected
Show country rate table for admin override and calculate shipping based on this.

Is the default shipping fee for all of the order or on a per product basis. I guess what i’m asking is does this override per product shipping or do you just choose which you prefer?

Well.. the screen you are looking at is the vendor’s Pro Dashboard. They can choose those rates, which will be their standard shipping default rates.
They can still override on a per product basis.
Admin can still set rates within the admin > woocommerce > settings < shipping > vendor shipping

Vendor Shipping rate priority is still handled as usual:
If per product rate / override exists: this shipping rate is used.
If no per product override exists, store default rate is used.
If no per product rate and no store default rate exists, admin default rate is used.

Both– rates are still calculated per product, however, we can now also allow the Max per vendor per order, so the rate does not exceed a certain amount if a bunch of items are ordered form the same vendor.
