    Hi there,

At the moment if a vendor uses multiplied shop categories for 1 product for example a ring can be added to:
    – jewelry
    – ring
    – silver
    – gift
    – wedding
It appears in the their shop in every categories. (left sidebar near the images) Customers will open the categories and find the same product again and again…it can be very boring.
On Etsy for example the vendors can create their own shop sections (the products will appear in the selected main categories as well) but on their shop page they can add their own categories/sections. If someone sells jewelry and bags they might add only these 2 sections and their product will appear in those sections in their own shops.
Does it make any sense? 🙂
    Thank you for your help:
    Kriszta

Again- I hate to keep sending you over to BuddyBoss, but we do not write the category section for the vendor stores.

That is written into the buddyboss-marketplace plugin and goes along with the Social Marketplace theme & plugin. You could make a suggestion to BuddyBoss and perhaps they can work up a different way for adding categories in the stores- though it’d be more complex than it seems to change this, since they are currently just pulling the product author (vendor) and WooCommerce category information for that function.

Any chance that categories within a vendor’s store will be added to WCVendors in the future? Some of my stores have a lot of products and rather than customers having to search through pages of products – if they could shop within a vendor’s store by category, that would be really helpful

    Obsi,
Yeah- this is something I am working on. I do not know when I will have it finished so that it can be used universally for a wc vendors pro site, but in progress… and hopefully it can be added as a widget or something for future versions of Pro. 🙂

Hi Anna, Im very interested in using that feature, do you have an estimate when will you finish it? when you finish it I will probably take the step and purchase wc vendors pro. In the meantime do you know any sub plugin that does this.

    Thank you for your help,
    Best regards,
    Juancho.

There is not a plugin that does this, no.
I have not completed this yet; but I will update this thread when I have anything available with this.
