    Hi!

I thought I would do a quick post here before I went in search of the answer, but is there a way or has anyone found a way to show products in the buddypress activity stream when they are added?

    Thanks

You’d probably have to hook into the activity stream functions/class somehow and create an entry each time a product is published. I’ve got no idea how to do that off the top of my head. There are some good BuddyPress & WooCommerce integration plugins on wordpress.org you might grab them and see how they do it to custom code your own.

    Cheers

Just to follow up on this post. I found a way using the code below. whenever a product is created it gets posted to the activity stream.

edit: still not sure how to embed code on this site? however follow this link and you’ll see the code

Ok, this is the code this user above was wanting to post.. the gist. This would go in your theme functions.php. I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS so I do not know if it will nuke your site when you put it in your functions.php. Use FTP and /or a dev site so you can remove it if it does:

FYI: ThemeKraft actually has a plugin specifically to integrate WC Vendors and BuddyPress. I have not tested with this one in a while, but I know the theme author is helpful and usually it works well for users: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-wc-vendors/
