Looks like the functions from Knowledge Base: https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/change-sold-by-to-something-else/
    do NOT work.
They work in case of complete removal (https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/removing-sold-by-on-your-site/) but not the change.

I have the newest 1.1.1 Pro version.

    Please advise!

You would only want to use this guide:

    https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/change-sold-by-to-something-else/

…not the removing sold by article. If you remove them, they are gone. 🙂 You only want to use:

Am I speaking in English or what?

I have written: that change functions do NOT work on my website although the remove functions do work (just to indicate that functions.php work at all)!

    Any idea why?

I’m pretty sure you are speaking English. Probably not the “Polite English” variation that we prefer on the forums here, but close enough I guess. 😉

Show me the code! Which change function have you added that does not work? Help me help you, show me the code you are using, and I’ll check it out.

PS — Pro v1.1.2 is out, with unrelated tweaks and fixes you might grab while you’re there. Nothing that would impact this at all, but hey, worth mentioning.

    Cheers

    Hi Ben,
I don’t agree with the tone of netteran, but agree with him that you don’t read question properly and you very often answer – not rudely- but unsupportively to people who are not good at programming. I believe that many of our questions are simply stupid to you, but we are part of your customers. Jamie answers only sometimes but he is always helpful- I read a lot of questions in this forum:) I know you have a little baby so you are probable tired but still
I have set up 3 e-shops without any knowledge of programming and far more quickier-but with more supportive helpdesk. I believe that wordpress plugings and themes have a lot of buyers who are novices. They still expect answering their maybe stupid questions for you- if they paid for a plugin /e.g.TemplateMonster are great, quick, helpful, so far the best/. If you don’t want to have the plugin to buy by amateurs please put it in description of this product. That info would be helpful for many of your potentional customers.

Ok, back to question. I was looking for the problem with “sold by” on the internet and found that this maybe is NOT woocommerce problem but this pre-plugin because the answer was: It must be a “Product Vendor” -plugin by Matt Gates.I found it, I scanned the plugin and then searched “sold by” and I found it!! All ok with that.”

    – more on https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cannot-translate-sold-by/

But he didn\t write where he found it. I also tried the code from KB and only the last one changed message on my website
The one in single product pages

    Monika,

We support ten thousand stores. You seem to be confusing what our support entails. We help you get the product working, and ensure it’s free from bugs. Customization, is a paid service. We are not here to hold your hand in customizing your own site, as there are certainly not enough hours in a day by a factor of 100 for that. It is your job as the administrator of your website to know how to customize it and tweak things in any capacity you wish. If you want us to support you doing anything you want, pay for it, we’re happy to help.

When we provide support for customization here, it’s out of the goodness of our heart and at our own free will. It’s certainly not what is included when you buy, or download, any of our plugins, but we do try to help within reason. Teaching you PHP is not our priority, by a long shot. Expecting to run a multi vendor platform with no experience other than clicking things in wp-admin is not a smart move. At this level, none of it is novice friendly. You should be a respectable administrator if you want to get things done.

As for the rest of your question, please start your own support thread, rather than appending to someone elses.

    Ben

When I started I knew I would need to pay for additonal help, when I am stuck- but I like challenges and pushing my limits. And you either- because to do such a difficult pluging and only 2 people- that is challenging also 🙂
I only compared- by private- my personal experience and opinion with other supports.
