NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

    Hey guys,

    As a logged in vendor, clicking on Store banner or Icon under branding and featured image under add product don’t work.

    Is this a bug or just me?

    Could be one or the other. “don’t work” isnt too helpful, though! 🙂 What doesnt work? Tell me step by step what you do and what happens, and the theme you are using. 🙂

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    I’m using Storefront.

    As a logged in vendor on the dashboard, I navigate to either products > add product > set featured image or settings > branding > Store Banner or Store Icon.

    The hyperlink to open the media adder underlines and registers my mouse over it but doesn’t do anything when I click.

    Hi Ben,

    So it took a while for me to figure out which plugin was causing it and it turns out to be W3 Total Cache.

    The option that needed to be turned off was Minify, see screenshot attached (although now the site has no minify).

    Thought I’d share on here in case anyone else runs into the issue.

    FYI, this also caused all options (e.g downloadable etc..) to be opened by default without clicking the option

    Unfortunately, even though the media library now loads, when I upload, select the image and click “Add to Banner” nothing happens.

    Any ideas?

    W3 Total Cache is a nightmare when running a lot of plugins. Just set it to do page cache and browser cache and leave everything else disabled the rest of it wont really matter at all and just cost you hours of headaches. Sometimes it’s too advanced of a plugin and it really trips people up.

    For the media library issue — If the add/save buttons dont work, something in another plugin or the theme itself is conflicting and causing it to not function. We see it here and there but it’s still pretty rare. You just have to do the deactivate plugins and switch to Storefront/TwentyFifteen till you diagnose what is causing the issue.

    Hi Ben,

    Sorry to say that I’ve been unable to fix this still.

    I’ve turned off all plugins *for the product upload page* (bar Cloudflare, Woo, WCV and WCV Pro) using the plugin Product Organizer yet still no joy.

    As a vendor, I’m able to upload a new image and click on the add/save button but it doesn’t then show up on the Add Product page.

    I’ve attached a screenshot (may need to zoom!) of the disabled plugin list and would really appreciate any help you can offer.

    Thank you for taking the time to have a look at the issue.

    1.) Awesome!

    2.) Haha, new record! Chopped it down to 65 and looking to reduce further.

    3.) I set the account page and upped the memory to 128M.

    4.) So I did a test upload on Firefox and it works. I was using Safari initially and it still doesn’t work so maybe a bug on Safari?

    Safari! People still use that? 🙂 They discontinued Sarafi for Windows in 2013 so it’s not a good tester for me anymore. I’m not a Mac guy, I’m a solid Microsoft lover. But luckily for you, @digitalchild hates Windows and is a Mac lover. So perhaps he can check with Safari and see if there’s an issue, and if there is, he can get it taken care of.
