I have a feeling you are going to send me to the Theme developer with this issue. But I thought I would try here first since Divi is a popular theme, and there may be an easy fix on your end since I think I have some useful information to someone with some familiarity.

My tabs under Settings (Payment, Branding, Shipping, and Social) and my Tabs under Add Simple/Grouped/Auction/etc. Products (Inventory, Shipping, Linked Products) do not work in my Divi Theme. The “Main Tabs” (Products, Orders, Settings, Ratings, Coupons, View Store) work fine.

However, the “broken” tabs do work if I right click on the tab and select “open in new window.” But they will not open if I click on “open in new tab.” Weird, huh???

In addition – as more possible hints/tips – my header is deformed/cut-off on the pages with those tabs. And if I switch to another theme, they all work as they should.

I hope you are willing to try and trouble-shoot with me. As Divi will try to pass the buck. And the little I know about this stuff indicates to me that this could be a possible template issue.

Any suggestions? Please Help – or this whole Pro “experiment” will be for naught.

Attached is a screenshot of the “cut-off” header. The dropdowns in the header menu stop working on the problem pages as well.

Another major “clue.” All the front-end pages added by “Pro” cut-off the header and break the navigation drop downs in it. However, it appears as if the front-end pages that came with “Free” (like My Account) still work fine and do not interfere with the header at all.

I am guessing the same issue that is causing those header links to break (and cutting off the header) is also causing the tabs to break as well.

Here is the header as it should be and working fine on the My Account front-end page that comes with “Free.” It’s the new Pro pages that are causing the problem.

OK – another important clue – so maybe the header situation and the inactive tabs are not related.

By inspecting the elements I see that the tabs for Payment, Branding, Shipping, and Social are being directed to “hide-all.” (see attachment) When I change “hide-all” to “active” – everything works. But that is as far as I can get. I’ve no idea where or why they are instructed to “hide-all,” or how to correct.

Hi Konakid, I am having the same issue with Listable theme when I had Woocommerce Subscriptions enabled.

If enabled, try disabling it and see if it works.

Thank you very much Khim for trying to help. I have worked on this all day with no luck.

But, if you are referring to the Woocommerce Subscription Plugin ($199-$399), I do not have that installed. Is that what you are talking about?

Yes that was the plugin – My problems went away after downgrading to woocommerce 2.4.13. Everything working fine now.

Thanks for trying. I’m using 2.5.1 – so rolling back that far might cause more problems. Let’s see what Ben says.

This is a divi theme issue, we cant fix it. Divi is a piece of shit. They use JavaScript to override standard HTML functions. They even disable some HTML functions such as anchor links. You will have to contact Divi and ask them for a javascript file that doesnt disable HTML, as another member here had done in the past. If you search the forums for Divi you’ll find his posts in here somewhere from a few months ago. I think it was Bj0rn who had the issue and posted the fix. Whether or not that fix is compatible with latest WooCommerce and latest Divi theme is another question, I dont have the answer to.

Well, I have to confess that is disheartening – and may be a classic case of “you can’t get there from here.” So please, stick with me on this adventure a bit longer. The pain (for you) is almost over. πŸ™‚

I had been waiting patiently for Pro to be functional with Simple Auctions, only to realize it won’t work as Free does for my shop’s variable products. And even if I wait for v1.3, it apparently may not work with my theme. And I finally had everything working so well with Free, I thought I was golden – and Pro would be an easy transition.

But before I junk my Pro software – one more question please. (Because even if I can still manage to make everything work, Pro’s Table Rate options may then not work for me either) – but I wouldn’t know the answer for sure until I “fixed” (or customized everything else) and then tried it.

So – for my one and only personal store (no other vendor stores) – which is all variable products – do you think I would be able to manage it from the backend and have the following table rate settings in effect??? (I would forgo any other Vendor Stores – and only have multiple vendor auctions.)

And be assured that I have read all the info/problems on trying to make variable products work with Pro and keeping the shipping options functional on the front end. But without spending another day or two trying to make this square peg fit a round hole, I thought you might be willing to offer if the following might even be possible.

In using Free, I presently have a simple Table Rate plugin that handles the following very easily. Could your Pro “Table Rate Shipping” handle this same situation? Example: the first T-shirt ships domestically USPS 1st class for $3.50. Two T-shirts ship USPS Priority for $5.50 with each shirt thereafter an additional .75? International is similar, with a “flat” rate to certain countries for one, and an additional set charge for each additional item. This is the way the Print on Demand Woocommerce integrated Merchandise Store I am using is configured to charge for shipping. It wasn’t my idea.

If your Table Rate won’t handle those configurations, then there isn’t any use in me trying to fix theme issues now, and/or wait for v1.3 to handle variable products.

Only other option I can see — could you envision any way for me to handle my one vendor shop totally from the backend with my present working Table Rate Shipping plugin, and have the Simple Auction integration work totally separate from the front end for the Auction Vendors with the WC Vendors Shipping???

Thanks in advance, if you got this far. πŸ™‚

Variable products arent supported on the front end until v1.3.0 of Pro. You know this, though, it’s never been a secret. πŸ™‚ Shipping is front end only, we have no plans to allow vendors to manage shipping from the back end because that’s the entire opposite of what Pro is for.

Country Table Rate shipping allows a single price per product for shipping, with an option to charge only once for shipping per product. There are no changes in quantity to change the shipping multiplier to a different price.

Could you handle one vendors store in the back end using Table Rate Shipping (not our Vendor Shipping) and use Pro’s Vendor Shipping and the Front End for the rest of your site? No. WooCommerce won’t let you combine two shipping plugins on the checkout page, it’s simply one option for shipping and one option only.

Darn – but I can tell you read all of my “last gasp.” Thanks for that. And I can’t even use Pro for a doorstop. πŸ™

I don’t suppose you know if its possible to run two instances of WC on the same domain? Or have two checkout pages/paths – one for the only store, and one for everything else. (one last weaker gasp). πŸ™‚

Yup, I read everything. πŸ™‚ Sometimes I give the wrong answer if I misunderstand something, it happens, I’m just one man. πŸ˜‰

You can certainly have two WordPress sites on one domain. You’d just create folder on your website called /whatever/ and then unzip WordPress into that directory, and configure it as a new site.

I like to think I read everything as well. And your last tip to check what BjΓΈrn came up with as a fix for the “Nav Tabs” in Divi did the trick. So, if anyone runs into the same issue, it was an easy addition to a .js file, and still works. Just search as Ben suggested above.

My header issue was not related, and still needs fixing. But I can play with that. However, I don’t see how just those new Pro pages can break the header, when all other pages in your plugin and everyone else’s leave it alone. I think it has something to do with the height or line height of something at the top of those pages. It looks like it is cutting off (or displacing) about 50-80 pixels. Any ideas?

Thanks again for that last tip, I was going under for the third and last time. πŸ™‚

Thanks Ben – but I don’t want to burn up one of your favors at the moment, and I can stumble my way around CSS for a while before crying for help.

BUT – I spoke too soon on the tab problem. Looks like the .js fix works in Firefox. But when clicking on tabs in Chrome and Safari it still doesn’t work. (I don’t have a PC to check IE) And I have no experience troubleshooting browser issues. Can you give me any direction? Does the fact it works in FF make it any easier to track down the issue?

For the sake of accuracy, and for others who may read this – I seemed to have “stepped in it” yet again. πŸ™‚

After the .js “fix” I think all the tabs are indeed working. I got caught by the old cache demon – even after I was sure I had deleted all of the cached files.

    Hi

    I found Bjorn’s reply here.

You can fix this by adding in your child theme’s functions.php : http://pastebin.com/q4xTr4Wa
