I have an unusual problem, when ever a new user sign up or register it takes very long time, I mean- on /my-account page when a user gives his email and passwd and click on register, it takes very long I mean very very long about 2 to 3 min. this is really wearied, I am sure its not a system performance issue because there are much resource available, I tried disable all plugins that did not help, please advise ?
2-3 minutes? That is very weird. Have you tried with a different theme? Are all other pages speedy?
Remember, WooCommerce controls the /my-account/ page, and they hook in WordPress for registration. It’s not WC Vendors related at all….

Thanks in advance.This site can’t be reached xxxxx.com took too long to respond. ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUTI cant even load your home page. 😉 Did you call your webhosting company? I tried to load it with tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ and wouldnt work there, either.
Takes me 19 seconds to load your homepage.
Took me 7 seconds to register for a vendor account.
I think you just have crappy webhosting. 🙂
7 seconds really ? I am not even up to 7 seconds, for me it still took around 2 min. , it just keep on progress and finally shows my account logged page in about 2 min.
I didn’t mean that :), what I am trying to say it was working good couple of days back, I understand the website loading may be little slow and that’s known, having said that registration wasn’t taking this much long earlier and suddenly taking really long. there are no big change except updating one or two plugins and those are deactivated.
also I just enabled compression that can speed up the website loading little more. but registration time still sucks.
I tested again.
Homepage 13 seconds.
My account page to load: 2 seconds
My account page to accept my registration after clicking Register: 6 seconds
Completing the vendor registration page on the next page: 2 seconds
Seems that any page that “does” a lot of stuff, example the homepage, is slow. It’s your webhosting, or your Internet connection. What are you paying for webhosting each month?
Thanks Ben for testing this out. I believe we have limited internet bandwidth for now, we are getting it extended by next week or so, will check after that.
but mean time every thing seems broken for vendor, a vendor get the dashboard page after login and then every thing seems broken like product, add product, view store, add coupon all are broken. it says “Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.”Save your Permalinks again. If you read the KnowledgeBase at all, you’d see that. 🙂 🙂 The KnowledgeBase = THE BIBLE! 🙂

permalink is now working. going back to registration time, I am on the same page as you tested except one point (point number 3 below). its still taking more then a min. I precisely calculated. all other point as you tested are same for me. what could be the reason only point 3 is to high for me ?1. Homepage 13 seconds.
2. My account page to load: 2 seconds
3. My account page to accept my registration after clicking Register: 6 seconds
4. Completing the vendor registration page on the next page: 2 secondsThe only reason for those load times are:
1.) Too many plugins, or a few really slow ones
2.) Crappy webhosting

but my question is why its 6seconds for you and one min for me for the same thing (talking about point#3). I am sure if a plugin causing this then it will affect all user or just me ? however I am up to same timing as you for all rest of the points. if I could complete point#3 in 6 seconds that’s perfect for me, any idea on it ?The question you keep dancing around is what your webhosting is. By your lack of response, I’m going to have to assume you’re on a webhosting plan that is $10 or less a month. You get what you pay for. Your webhosting is most likely very underpowered for running a WordPress+WooCommerce site.
The other aspect could be too many plugins. Disable all plugins except WC Vendors Free, Pro, and WooCommerce. TEST. Is it fast? Then it’s a plugin. To test your theme, install the Storefront theme and activate with only the same 3 plugins installed. TEST. Is it fast? Then it’s your theme.
Smart money is on the webhosting being crap. 🙂
I am running on my local server, that’s why I said the speed issue is known, and soon it will be extended.
but my question was why you and me getting the different response time while register. I was only asking if you faced this kind of issue earlier ?
my understanding is what ever the issue is wether its related to theme or plugin or whatever it is, it should be for all…no ?
sorry for stretching the question but I really need to isolate the issue.
or I am not making any sense at all ?also I have dev setup with same plugins and theme, I don’t see any issue there. registration process is ok there.
You make perfect sense, but “why is my website slow” is not a suitable question for WC Vendors support. We’re plugin authors. We’re not the guys who run your webserver, and not the admins of your site. 🙂 Speed issues we can try to help with (as I sure have here) but at the same time, why it’s fast for me and slow for you is waaaaaaaaaay beyond our capabilities to help with. Faster webhosting is the key!
