Hey guys,
First of all, so happy to have variable product functionality available on the front end! Thank you for all your hard work.
A couple of things relating to the 1.3.0 release.
1. Getting a permission error when trying to upload featured image for a variable. Furthermore, it’s still possible to upload a main featured img, however after unsuccessfully trying to upload variable img it’s no longer possible to upload main featured img either (getting same permission error). Was able to replicate this on the dev site, see attached screenshot.
2. More of a minor UX suggestion than a bug. There is no toggle icon for variables (like that next to where it says ‘remove’ next to each individual variable on the back end). After clicking around I realized it was possible to toggle individual variables, or just use the ‘(Expand / Close)’ links, but it caused a bit of confusion at first. I recognize this isn’t a major issue, just an observation.

Looks like you’ve found a bug that I managed to completely miss. At this point you can select existing uploaded images that have been uploaded via the featured/gallery however there is something funky going on with the media uploader while I’m invoking it for variations. I’ll be working on a fix for this tomorrow. In the mean time you can upload load new images using the media uploader above and then setting them below.
I’ll also add an icon for expand so it’s a little better for usability, thanks for the suggestion.
