    Good Morning,
I have a couple more questions before I begin to market my site.
    1. Is there a way to hide the vendor address from customers? I don’t want to direct traffic to their brick and mortar store. I assume it’s been added to assist with shipping.
    2. How do I add “sign out” on the vendor dashboard? I looked for a woocommerce short code but couldn’t find one.
    3. I know retail sales tax has been talked about a lot since it’s a big issue. Is it possible to add a tax calculator similar to etsy for retail sales tax? Customers could add their own tax rates-similar to what you did with shipping that are added at checkout. I opened an etsy shop so I could see how they were doing it. (See Below) I thought the free version of WCVendors had this option?

Thanks for your help. You offer amazing support-I don’t know how you do it!

    Best,

    Lorette

I copied the page from etsy’s tax set up although it didn’t format exactly like the actual page.

    Sales Tax Settings

You have the option to set tax rates for each US state or zip code, Canadian province, or country where you want tax collected based on your own tax requirements. This tax will be collected from your buyer and will be remitted to you.

We only apply tax to orders that ship to a region where you set a tax rate. Learn more.

Etsy’s tax calculator is offered as a convenience to enable you to collect taxes such as sales tax (like state sales tax) and GST at the time of purchase. Tax rates are applied based on the buyer’s shipping address.

Etsy’s Terms of Use apply to this tool. Etsy offers this tool “as is” without any warranties of any kind. Your chosen tax amounts may not satisfy all of your tax requirements. Remember, tax rates may change from time to time and may vary depending on location. For more information, please seek assistance from your tax advisor.

1.) Sure, modify the single vendor store templates.

2.) Sure, modify the Vendor Dashboard templates. 🙂

3.) Both Free and Pro calculate sales tax off or your shops address, not the vendors. This is something we’ll be improving for Pro in the future.

    Have fun! 🙂 🙂

Checking in to see if there has been an update to #3. Are you saying that if the marketplace is in CA for example, CA sales tax will be charged on orders from all vendor even if they are in a state that does not charge sales tax?

Another example: if marketplace was in a state that does not charge sales tax, all vendors would not have to charge sales tax on orders even if they live in a state like CA that requires sales tax?

Also is there an ETA for improvements and if so, what are they?

Also is there a sales tax calculator feature or plugin we can enable that automatically calculates tax per order?

Thanks so much for any clarity you can provide on this.

For example do we need to enable a plugin like this or is it already included in WC Vendor: https://www.taxjar.com/woocommerce-sales-tax-plugin/

    Hello,

Checking in to see if there has been an update to #3.

No- For now, all tax is calculated based upon the WooCommerce tax settings for the admin/main website.

We do not have compatibility with any tax plugins at this time, though it is something that will likely be worked on in the future after some important changes have been made to the core of WC Vendors structure.
