    Hi,

I have vivacity theme from themeforest. I want to show vendor-main-header.php in vendor page. I have checked show header in wcvendors settings. I am viewing vendor-mini-header.php in product page, but not viewing vendor-main-header.php in vendor page.

Do you know where I can found the problem?

    Thank you in advance,
    Krist

    Hi Krist,

Look in your /themes/YOURTHEME/woocommerce.php file. Does this file exist? If the answer is YES, then you have a big problem.

http://docs.woothemes.com/document/third-party-custom-theme-compatibility/ — Basically, the theme developer used a hack to override all templates and you cant customize anything WooCommerce related in the theme. If this is the case, then you need to have the theme guy *properly* template out the WooCommerce portion of the theme, or switch themes.

With this “hack” in place that the theme developer used, you will have never ending problems with many plugins, because he’s removed the ability for you to use hooks and filters, which in a nutshell, is the backbone of extending plugins and themes.

    Let me know!

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

    Thank you for your atttention.

    Yes, I have the woocommerce.php file 🙁

I have erased it and wcvendor functionallity works correctly, but I lose some theme functions. What do you recommend me? Erase the woocommerce.php and try to put theme functions/classes manually, or do that with wcvendors functions.

    Thank you,
    Krist

    Hi Krist,

That’s unfortunate. You should tell the theme author to either properly create the WooCommerce theme files and update his theme, or get your money back. Some cheap ass theme guys are claiming WooCommerce compatibility by using this hack, because when they do they sell more copies of the theme. It’s bad for you, the theme customer, as you can clearly see. 😉

If the theme author won’t fix it, you should find a better theme.
