Hello – I purchased the plugin prior to this being set-up. However – My issue is the back-end. Vendors are created and when they login to the back-end – they see Orders for the entire site. Not their products individually. I figured the back-end would be their products only. Is there something I did not do correctly. I also created a http://www.wcvendors.com test and sure enough it’s the same. Any ideas?

This is a known bug in Matt’s version of the plugin. We’ll have this patched up after the plugins first release.

The temporary fix is to simply disallow vendors from viewing reports in the back end. They already have sales reports on the front end, the back just gives them a visual graph.

Another member, Sonya, had a developer fix this for her, but it involved changes to WooCommerce itself, rather than to Product Vendors. And others reported that the fix stopped working too, so we’ll handle it on our end from scratch soon enough.

Ok sounds good – Is there a “quick fix” for disallowing the vendor from accessing this from the back end in the plugin?

Your welcome. We’ll have it fixed here soon. There’s dozens of things that need updating as well.

    Yes I agree.

Based on the landing page for the vendor, the links on what they have access to only show on that landing page. The work around is a “Menu driven by Role” and only visible to the vendor. Plus if they need to access their profile it’s in the default layout of wordpress. It would be ideal to keep all the links/ pages uniform to avoid confusion to the vendor, as we can’t expect him/her to be web savy enough to understand where to navigate. Just some feedback. Plus a method to customize what is visible to the vendor when listing a product. Example – if you have SEO plugin, I think the admin person should be the one privy’ed to this instead of a vendor who is just listing the products. Again a standard template would be provided to the vendor on what will be used, but he/she (the vendor) should only list the products, again if there was a “Form Builder” to provided a custom layout to a vendor – that would be ideal.

The customer navigation is also lacking and the layout is skeletal – needs some meat. Looking at other Commerce tools such as Magento, they offer a neat model to a customer login.

Plus from my experience the landing page for the vendor works on occasion, I need to add a “redirect plugin” based on role to make it work in the meantime.
