NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

As of August 31, 2017 (12am EST) our support forums will be retired (read-only), and we will be moving to a support ticket system.  This will allow us to better organize and answer support requests, and provide a more personalized experience as we assist our customers.

For the time being, we will leave our forums open for reading and learning while we work on creating a more robust Knowledge Base for everyone to use.

    Hi, I’m trying to figure out why the user role seems as customer and it doesn’t changes automatically to Vendor. I’m using WC Vendors Pro and when a user is registered and checks the Apply for vendor option it creates a Vendor Store, but non user is assigned (Screenshot 1) to the store. Then, checking into the user, it has the Customer role, but not the Vendor or Pending Vendor Role.

    I’ve unchecked the “Manually accept vendors” because I want vendors to be approved automatically, so I think the Pending Vendor role wouldn’t be used in my setup. Do you think this might be the problem?

    You’re right, that is weird. We could try to fix it, but that would be a bit pointless since v1.2.0 which is nearly complete removes the vendor stores entirely. So, you can spend a few hours now trying to debug it, or have a coffee and some sexy time with the wife and when v1.2.0 comes out it cant possibly be a problem for you at that point. 😉

    Thank you. And how will the vendors stores be managed after the update? Is there any similar content type or something like that? Or are we going to lose this capability?

    They will be managed VERY easily, in fact. Edit the vendors user account, and all the Pro fields will be there including banners and icons and all the overrides and everything else. 🙂 It’s a LOT easier to use than the way it is now.
