Hi there,
I allow users or guests to apply to become a vendor, also want to approve vendor applications manually. I’ve marked both in the ‘general’ section.
I am asking several info in the sign up form in the wc vendors – signup form section (see screenshot attached)
BUT when I’ve tested it, so I’ve tried to register and at the same time sign up as a vendor there were no other check boxes only the male/female option which is not really revelant in this case ๐
See attached.
The question is how can I set up and make visible on the the signup page my questions?
Thanks:

SO you have added some of your own fields to be entered upon registration as a vendor, and you need them to show up on the front-end vendor application form? I am guessing this is what you are asking. I am not sure at all where the male/female radio selections are coming from..?If you are trying to add fields to be filled out when the users apply to become a vendor, then you can use the template for the front-end vendor application found here:
plugins/wcvendors-pro/templates/front/vendor-signup-form.phpThere are action hooks throughout that template, or you could also directly edit the template to add the fields if you prefer.
October 17, 2016 at 10:24 pm #45313Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
Yes, you got my problem, but I don’t know where to find this: plugins/wcvendors-pro/templates/front/vendor-signup-form.php
If it is not in the WooCommerce/WC Vendors section then where can I find it?October 17, 2016 at 10:41 pm #45317AnnaMemberIf you connect with your site via FTP, then you would go to:
wp-content/plugins/wcvendors-pro/templates/front/vendor-signup-form.php
The vendor-signup-form.php is the template that you could move to your child theme and modify to add the fields you need.
Here is an article which describes how you can move templates to modify them: https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/changing-vendor-templates/
And this article shows how fields were added to the settings page- you would follow a similar format to add fields and collect information on the vendor application page/template:
https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/custom-fields-to-shop-settings-page/Let me know if you have additional questions
October 18, 2016 at 5:17 pm #45436Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
I tried my best. I did everything you suggested, but I am lost now.
I managed to connect my site via sftp (it was the first time, downloaded filezilla, etc…)
Found: wp-content/plugins/wcvendors-pro/templates/front/vendor-signup-form.php
Opened it… but what I can see there is looking good, I mean it contains all the important fields I need on my vendor signup page/option…I would not change anything in it, but still does not show up on my site.
Would you mind to take a look at it for me please?
I can provide you all the passwords to enter my sftp.
The info/fields I want my sellers to give/fill up is the same I set up on my woocommerce/wc-vendors-signup forms page.
Many thanks:
KrisztaOctober 18, 2016 at 6:52 pm #45455AnnaMemberWait- that first screenshot you sent to me… is that the page where you are having your users register? That’s not the WooCommerce /my-account/ page nor the Vendor Dashboard page …
The name and male/female are BuddyPress fields.
The vendor application fields would not show up on the buddybpress register page.
Please visit your site as a non-logged in non-member. Visit the page where you have the WooCommerce /my-account/ page located.. you should get a register/login form with the “Apply to Become a Vendor” checkbox.
If you register and check the checkbox, are you then routed to the correct Vendor Application form with the fields? If not, please send me your site URL with an admin login and password in a private reply.
October 19, 2016 at 2:27 pm #45539AnnaMemberHello there-
I logged in, and checked out your settings. All is well.
I turned off the Maintenance Mode temporarily so I could try registering as a vendor.
The first time, I went to the register icon/link in the top menu. That took me to the BuddyPress registration, and even with the box checked, like you said- it does not show me the vendor application. The second time, I typed in yoursite.com/my-account and registered using the my-accoutn page. This brought me to the Vendor Application form after I checked and submitted “Apply to Become a Vendor.”
You’ll want to direct your prospective vendors to the WooCommerce /my-account/ page in order to register. The checkbox on the modal login (BuddyBoss Theme) is not bringing up the actual Vendor Application.
October 19, 2016 at 5:24 pm #45562Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
Thanks for your work…but it is still different from what I need to see when someone’s applying.
Please find attached your application, I received. There’s no extra infos about the vendor at all ๐Also: how can I direct my future vendors to the WooCommerce /my-account/ page in order to register ?
What/where can I do?
Thanks:
KrisztaPS: there’s something else, let me know if I have to open a new ticket for this one: I’ve added the Product-colour filter to the sidebar widget, but if I click on any of the colours the page that opens does not contain the footer.I’ve contacted BuddyBOss already with this issue, here’s their answer: “I tried to do the changes at your end. However, I was unable to do as I couldn’t find the right template. It seems that you’re using Colour Filter for WooCommerce plugin to filter products by colour. I would like to request you, can you please confirm with the plugin developers once that which template they use to display the list of filtered products? ”
Thanks again!October 20, 2016 at 12:16 am #45587Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
One more thing…I wanted to try it out again today.
I’ve registered with a new name and email address. I received the activation code, so the user part is OK. I received a notification about a new registration but the new user has not been added to the Users menu. The last one I can see is you….but I am able to login with the email and name I’ve created.
I’ve also noticed that there’s no address and paypal email option on the user’s setting nor the profile page (attached)I have found that weird Buddy Boss male/female settings…I was able to change it, but I prefer to have the WC Vendors sign up setting at the vendor registration.
Thank you:
KrisztaOctober 20, 2016 at 12:32 am #45590Krisztina KemenyParticipantActually the my account page does not show up on my site at all. Where can I set this up?
October 20, 2016 at 8:34 am #45599Krisztina KemenyParticipantOK…I managed the My Account page question…but the rest is still on…
Thank you:
KrisztaOctober 20, 2016 at 5:07 pm #45659Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
Any news / solution for me regarding the visibility of the signup form?
Thank you:
KrisztaPS: I’d like to launch my site asap, and the signup form is indispensable for this.

October 21, 2016 at 4:51 pm #45732AnnaMemberHello,
I’m not sure what you need… ? You do have the sign up/application for vendors on your site.If you direct the users to the /my-account/ page to register and they tick the “apply to become a vendor” checkbox, they are directed to the vendor application.
Users who have already registered on your site, but who are not a vendor yet, can be directed to the pro vendor dashboard to apply. You can add these pages to your menus, to buttons- whatever will be best for your site.
You’ll have to contact BuddyBoss if you need to change the register page that they have coded into the top menu icon links… tell them you wish to use /my-account/ instead of whatever form they are using- which I think is the buddypress registration. I cannot recall how they had this arranged- it is in some template files within their theme.
October 21, 2016 at 5:30 pm #45735Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
I can do that, no problem at all, BUT: I’ve added the My Account page at the top of my page. If I sign out as admin and try to register as a user/vendor, there’s no option, just to login. So it is assumes that I already have an account.
attachedOctober 21, 2016 at 8:18 pm #45737Krisztina KemenyParticipant…also please see again the ‘application’ attachment couple of messages earlier, when you’ve applied as a vendor. In the attachment you can see the message I received. There are no extra signup fields at all. I need the ones I’ve set up in the signup form.
thank youOctober 21, 2016 at 11:21 pm #45758AnnaMemberAhhh.. you had a checkbox that needed some love.
wp admin > WooCommerce > settings > accounts … “Enable Registration on the My Account Page”. This was NOT checked.
I have checked this for you.
I then applied to be a vendor by going to yoursite/my-account link in the main menu. I checked the “apply to become a vendor ” box, accepted the terms and was taken tot he vendor application.
Thsi time I filled out all of the fields availabel to make sure you can see my entries. As far as I can see, now that the checkbox wp admin > WooCommerce > settings > accounts … “Enable Registration on the My Account Page” is checked, all is working fine for the vendor registration.
Let me know…..
October 22, 2016 at 5:26 am #45768Krisztina KemenyParticipantThank you Anna,
I really appreciate your hard work…especially on the weekend…but look what I receive after all of this (attached)
Same as before…I mean the required fields of the application form do not show up on the email I receive, which is bad ๐
Any idea?October 22, 2016 at 4:42 pm #45804AnnaMemberHello,
You would need to modify the email template to show that information. By default, the email just lets you know when a pending vendor application has been received.
In order to view the entries form the prospective vendor, you can go to: wp admin > Users and click on the link at the top of the page that says, : Pending Vendors”. This will show you all of your pending vendors. You can choose to approve, deny , edit or Click on the user you wish to view. You can then see what the user entered into the fields upon registration.October 22, 2016 at 4:57 pm #45810Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
I definitely have to modify y=the template because if I go to the pending vendors and click on the ‘profile’ or ‘view’ I only can see the Budy Boss profile page template…and there’s no website links or the info I need to decide….
So: how can I modify the email template? Is that a BB or a WCVendor related template?
Thanks you:
KrisztaOctober 22, 2016 at 5:23 pm #45812AnnaMemberKriszta,
If you go to wp admin > users, then click on Pending vendors…. you can just either click on the pending vendor’s name or “edit” – you can see all of that info that they entered upon registration. The “profile” will show you the front-end profile. The email template that would need to be edited is located here, in the WC Vendors Free files:
wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors/templates/emails/application-status.php
Move it to your theme or child theme as described in this kb article:
https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/changing-vendor-templates/October 22, 2016 at 6:04 pm #45814Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
Oh I see…but even if I marked the paypal email as a required field it does not show up.
What I have are:
-Store Name
-Store Description
-Seller Info
-Store Website / Blog URLCan you add the paypal email field and mark all the info required apart of the seller info for me please?
Many thanks:
KrisztaOctober 22, 2016 at 11:29 pm #45829Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
Back to our previous conversation, where you wrote: If you direct the users to the /my-account/ page to register and they tick the โapply to become a vendorโ checkbox, they are directed to the vendor application.
Users who have already registered on your site, but who are not a vendor yet, can be directed to the pro vendor dashboard to apply.I gave it a try but there was no success ๐
I’ve added the pro vendor dashboard link to my https://foltboltshop.com/join-us-as-a-seller/ page. There’s a ‘join us as a Seller’ text at the bottom of the page. When I sign in the page as a user, then I click on the Join us as a seller link it brings me to the My Account page, but I am not able to register as a vendor, adding / using the same email address and name, the system says I am already registered.Thank you for your help!
KrisztaOctober 25, 2016 at 12:07 am #45989Krisztina KemenyParticipantHi Anna,
I marked the paypal email as a required field on the signup page but it does not show up.
What I have are:
-Store Name
-Store Description
-Seller Info
-Store Website / Blog URLCan you add the paypal email field and mark all the info required apart of the seller info for me please?
Many thanks:
KrisztaOctober 25, 2016 at 11:48 am #46029AnnaMemberHello,
I will try to find the proper filters you will need to add to your child theme functions.php so you can make these fields required. The PayPal email field was not showing up because you had the “payments” tab ticked in the WC Vendors > signup form. You have to have the Payments tab enabled in order to show the paypal email field for the vendor application / signup form. I logged in and un-ticked that box.
October 25, 2016 at 9:49 pm #46124Krisztina KemenyParticipantThank you Anna,
Also is there any easy customization option (css files or so) to add an extra ‘required’ field to the signup form?
What I need is a question with 2 check box option, like:You will pay: Monthly Yearly
As a location can be somewhere close to the paypal email…
Can you create this for me please?
Many thanks:
KrisztaOctober 30, 2016 at 7:40 pm #46500Aaron RoesslerParticipantI would also like to know how to make certain fields required for the Store Details Form.
I need to make all Vendors Country required… or at least auto set to United States.
May 31, 2017 at 8:35 am #66821George PatsiasParticipantHello,
I have the same problems too,
i want to make some fields in the Vendors Details to be required like paypal account and shipping details and dont allow the vendor to add a product if he doesnt fills that up.Any ways to do that?
