    Hi there,

First of all thanks so much for this amazing plugin! I’m having an issue with the vendor store page, the custom header (with the vendor store description) is not showing up. Please check this example: http://igfitlife.responsivemedia.nyc/vendors/super-vendor-shop/
Also, how should I do to customize the template for the vendor shop page?

    Thanks so much!

    Best,

    Martin

    Hi Martin,

You’re welcome! ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad to see a new member here.

If the custom header is not showing up, could you please check if this file exists in your theme folder?

    /wp-content/themes/yourtheme/woocommerce.php

Check in both the child theme folder if you are running a child theme, AND the parent theme folder.

If that file does exist, your theme is not 100% WooCommerce compatible. You’ll want to send your theme author to ( http://docs.woothemes.com/document/third-party-custom-theme-compatibility/ ) and show them the part that says “Note: When creating woocommerce.php in your themeโ€™s folder, you will not be able to override the woocommerce/archive-product.php custom template as woocommerce.php has priority over archive-product.php. The theme author will have to fix it, because he didn’t do his job properly when designing the theme.

If that file does not exist, then, oddly enough, it’s STILL a theme related issue, but a different one to the one you see typed about above. ๐Ÿ™‚ The theme guy will have to fix his archive-product.php template to include all of the required hooks and filters that plugins use to hook into that template. Chances are, he deleted some.

    Ben,

Thanks so much for your fast response! I’ll check that out, and will contact the theme author.

    Hello,

I also want to first thank you for such a great plugin, looking forward to the pro version so keep us updated!

I have a very similar issue as “NAPLPM”, I also do not see any custom header on the vendor’s “shop page” (example.com/vendors/vendor). However, I do see the custom header show as it should on each of the vendors individual product pages (example.com/shop/category/sub-category/product).

Can you provide some insight as to where I should be looking to fix this issue?

    Thanks!

    Hi Hacktron,

Do you have a /wp-content/themes/yourtheme/woocommerce.php or /wp-content/themes/yourtheme-child/woocommerce.php file?

Yes, I do. I am now trying to figure out how the theme I am using, woocommerce, and wc-vendors variables are linked, so I can resolve the issue.

If that file exists, then your theme is *not* 100% WooCommerce compatible. You’ll have to either:

1.) Make your theme fully compatible by removing the woocommerce.php file and templating it out properly.

2.) Tell the theme author that they are weak hacks who band-aided their theme to work with most of WooCommerce, and that their theme is not 100% woocommerce compatible, and show them this page:

    http://docs.woothemes.com/document/third-party-custom-theme-compatibility/

Note: When creating woocommerce.php in your themeโ€™s folder, you will not be able to override the woocommerce/archive-product.php custom template as woocommerce.php has priority over archive-product.php.

3.) Switch themes to a different theme.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for the insight. I have confirmed that the theme I was using by themeco (x-theme) is not 100% compatible with woocommerce because they only used the “woocommerce_content()” to catch all data.

I edited the “woocommerce.php” file being used in the theme to adjust where “woocommerce_content()” is used in the template, and overwrite the “archive-product.php” by adding it into my theme to be used where “woocommerce_content()” is failing.

Quick fix, but its working. Too bad themeco, a very popular theme developer cannot keep this up to date.

Again thanks and looking forward to that pro version!

    Hello everyone,

I have tried everything. But it seems that I’m having a different issue. I cant get the header to work. You can see how it looks here. http://mtdgrafx.ipage.com/eliux/vendors/etxart-panno/

I was thinking that maybe the theme is not 100% woocommerce.

@mtdgrafx — It’s weird that your theme is showing a header image that is “http://themes.fuelthemes.net/uberstore/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/shop-header.jpg” which doesnt exist. Kinda weird for a theme to call files from the theme developers webserver.

Anyhow, test with the Storefront from WooThemes theme. If it works there, your theme is not 100% woo compatible.

Thanks for the quick reply @ben

I actually tried that. And I get this http://mtdgrafx.ipage.com/eliux/vendors/etxart-panno/

Is there suppose to be a upload file option in the Store Settings page?

    Thanks

Oops, you’re running Free, not Pro.

In Free you can click the Add Media button above the Shop Description to add images. All the fancy stuff is reserved for WC Vendors Pro. ๐Ÿ™‚

@hacktron do you mind sharing you code with me? X theme does not seem to have solved this tiring issue yet, but cannot get it to work porperly. PS. I am not great with PHP but know where to put it ๐Ÿ™‚ It would really be a massive help!
