    Hi!

I’m having an issue with vendors being unable to save drafts or add products. When I log in as the vendor I have no issues but I have had the vendor try on 2 different machines and browsers and try to add products or save drafts and neither worked. When I login as that vendor I have no issues.

I am still in testing mode so am looking to get this fixed up so that I can complete testing and launch.

One one machine trying to save or add a product resulted in a 403 error. On the other absolutely nothing happened.

When I login as admin and check in products I can verify that there are no pending or draft products.

Is anyone able to please point me in the right direction regarding fixing this issue. Your thoughts are very much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    @Occasionally
So you- on your machine- can access the product add/edit page and add a product without difficulty…. but when someone else tries to login as a vendor, they are unable to do so?
    Strange..
First, try resetting your vendor roles:
wp admin > woocommerce > system status > tools > RESET WC VENDORS ROLES

Next, I’d advise you check your settings in: W3 Total Cache
And make sure that none of the dashboard pages are being cached.

    Hi Anna,

Yes, that’s correct. I think it’s strange too but I just can’t figure it out.

I have reset the vendor roles as suggested and in W3 Total Cache I have listed the dashboard pages as pages not to cache. Unfortunately this didn’t fix the problem.

I’m on a mac and have no issues adding products as that vendor from Chrome or Safari.

I have had someone else test using the same vendor details and when saving or adding a product they receive “403 Forbidden – A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site” when using Chrome and Firefox. When using Internet Explorer they are able to add and save products on the same machine.

I am completely baffled. Do you think this is a browser issue or something else? Is there a particular browser you recommend vendors use? Are there any minimum version requirements?

Thanks so much for helping me with this! Once I figure this out I’ll be launching….woohoo!

    Sherise,
Are your vendors logging in using the BuddyBoss special login form that they use with that theme?
If so… this form has needed a fix from BuddyBoss because it is not properly logging in to a secure (https vs https) environment, which is causing login and upload permissions issues.

One user was provided this code as a fix:
    https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/image-upload-failing-when-creating-new-product/#post-53742

    Try this…
Otherwise I cannot figure out why this would be happening on some browsers and for some users and not others.. 🙁

Let me know about the login and if that code snip helps…
