    WordPress 4.7.4
    Ultimate Member Version 1.3.84
    WooCommerce Version 3.0.6
    WC Vendors (Free) Version 1.9.11

When WC Vendors and Ultimate Member are both active, in Vendor Dashboard, clicking on “Add New Product” or “Edit Products” will cause the home page to load at URL:

    http://www.site.com/installedDirectory/

I found this related thread on this error but couldn’t find a resolution:

    https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/cant-add-or-edit-products-as-vendor/

Upon deactivating Ultimate Member, both Add and Edit buttons work again. I deactivated all other plugins and repeated this several times to verify.

I’ve read others on here using Ultimate Member, so I’m wondering if this conflict is only with the free version of WC Vendor.

It has been ages since I have used Ultimate Member.. but I know there *was* something called Sync Roles in Ultimate member.
If it is still there in the plugin settings, you need to sync the member role with the vendor role.
    I THINK…
Like I said, I am sure much has changed since then, but see if you can find this setting.

Thank you for your reply Anna.

I did hear back from Calum A. from Ultimate Member (UM) with my pre-sale question with regard to the conflict. My intention was to buy a few if not their entire bundle.

Thanks for getting in touch. We’ve never used WC Vendors before so cant say if it is a conflict with free or paid version. Unfortunately plugin conflicts do happen as there are 30,000+ plugins all made by different developers. You may have to hire a freelance developer to write custom code to get both plugins to work on site at same time.

I am going to refrain from sharing my thoughts on his response with regard to pre-sales and customer acquisition, customer service and complacency.

To follow up with your recommendation, which I did see from another post a few years ago.

    That control is under:

Admin Panel / Ultimate Member / User Roles

You click on one of the user roles to enter the “User Role Edit” screen. There is a box in the far right: “Sync with WordPress Role.” That’s where you can choose the WordPress role to sync with this Ultimate Member role.

I did sync the UM Member role with WordPress’ (WP) Vendor role. That had no impact to resolve the initial issue. If it was a role issue, the other two buttons, “View Your Store” and “Store Settings” will be have the same way.

Thank you for any further thoughts. I appreciate your effort. This is how pre-sale or customer service should be. Because of your service, I am tempted to buy your Pro version to see if the code there for the Vendor Panel uses different code and would fix this issue. Obviously I’m concerned that it shares the same codes and I’m still stuck. :/

I decided to take the leap and purchase (order #65255) VC Vendors Pro (also WooCommerce Bookings Integration and Stripe Commissions & Gateway). Unfortunately, it didn’t resolve the issue. :/

My site needs both to function. Any thoughts?

Good news, it’s working now! I thought by updating to WC Vendors Pro, the Vendor Dashboard would be replaced automatically. That’s not the case since the screen looked the same and there were options like I saw in pictures for the Pro version.

Vendor Dashboard is a page tied to the free version. What I had to do was to edit my menu to link to the Pro Dashboard page. Now Add Product works. Clicking on a product to edit says “No Permission.” That happens with UM deactivated as well. I will create a different thread for that in the Pro forum.

Since the Pro Dashboard works with Ultimate Member (UM), I would encourage WC Vendors to review the code for Vendor Dashboard and see why that doesn’t work with UM. This issue has dated back to 2015 and hasn’t been fixed. I hope this saves someone a few hours!

I posted the fix to “No Permission” error in the WC Vendors Pro forum:

Please close this thread. Thank you!

OK– so the Ultimate Member works now? Or not… Let me know and I can look into it a bit more if needed.

And.. what was the issue that is fixed by changing the vendor capability? The vendor was not able to view the product unless you had the edit capability checked?
Sorry I just got a bit lost.. 😉

    Hi Anna.

Thank you for the follow up.

WC Vendor (basic) still doesn’t work properly with Ultimate Member activated. Per the original post, it was due to the “Add New Product” or “Edit Products” from the Vendor Dashboard.

I took a leap of faith and bought WC Vendors Pro and other products from WC Vendors. WC Vendor Pro and Ultimate Member DO WORK TOGETHER.

You can ignore the the last post about “No Permission.” That is unrelated. I posted if in case someone went the same path with the upgrade as I did and had that follow up issue.

In short, WC Vendors Pro DOES WORK with Ultimate Member. WC Vendors (basic) DOES NOT due to some bugs in the Vendors Panel code. My decision to blindly buy and try Pro was due to how active the support is in the forums. Kudos to you and Ben. Keep up the great customer service. The people over at Ultimate Member could learn a thing or two regarding customer service from you folks.

    Take care,
    Thomas

Thanks Anna. I still encourage WC Vendors to fix the bug in the basic version though.
