    Hi,

I have installed WC-vendors. The short code for Vendor Dashboard does not seem to resolve. I see the text [vendor_store_dashboard] when I click the page for vendor dashboard.

    I have done the following

    a. I have flushed the permalink. I have refreshed the cache.
    b. I have gone to WooCommerce / WC Vendors / Capabilities. Unchecked “View Frontend sales reports”, saved, deleted cache, checked again and saved.

    I use Virtue Premium theme.

    Thanks.

That’s not the right shortcode. You must have installed another multi vendor plugin before and deactivated it, because that’s not even a shortcode of WC Vendors. 🙂

The correct Vendor Dashboard shortcode is:

    [wcv_vendor_dashboard]

    Hi,

Yes.. you are correct. I had installed Woocommerce Product Vendors. I want to move to WC Vendors. I used the shortcode above and I can the dashboard.

Is there any other change I need to do ? I did deactivate the Woocommerce Product Vendors and also deleted the plugin installation. Is there anything else that needs to be done to ensure that the Product Vendors does not interfere ?

    Thanks..

As long as WooThemes Product Vendors is disabled, that’s all you “need” to do.

The pages WC Vendors uses are:

    – Vendor Dashboard (/vendor_dashboard/ is the URI)
    — Shop Settings
    — Orders

So make sure you’re testing with those pages, which WC Vendors should have already installed for you with the correct shortcodes on each page. If they ever get messed up for some reason, wp-admin->WooCommerce->WC Vendors->Pages shows the shortcode for each page, and allows you to set the page there too.

WooThemes uses taxonomies for vendors. We use users with a role of “vendor”. You’ll need to convert your old Woo vendors to have their own individual account, with the role “Vendor” and then assign products that they owned to their account by editing the product and changing the vendor to their account.

That’s pretty much it! A lot of members here, more than I can count, have switched to WC Vendors and none have reported it to be a problem….. But if it is, we’re here to help.

    Hi,

I am checking on products. When I edit an existing product I do not see an option to assign the vendor to the product. I saw a video in youtube and it is expected to be on the rightside. I do not see. Can you please help.

    Thanks.

Top right of the page, make sure it’s enabled on the Screen Options where you would hide/show any of the regular meta boxes.

[x] Vendor <-- That's what needs to be checked in Screen Options

    Hi,

Yes.. Vendor in the screen options is checked but I do not see product vendor to assign to the product.

    See the link here

Look to the left, not to the right of the screen. It’ll be in the main area not on the right side boxes. Just hit Ctrl+F and type “Vendor” and you’ll see it on the page. 🙂

If not, try with just WC Vendors and WooCommerce enabled, and all other plugins disabled. If it shows up there, you’ve got something that is conflicting. This would be unusual, but a possibility nonetheless.
