    Hi everybody.

My intention, only if Wc Vendors guys will agree with it, in this post is to have a general idea about what themes are being used by WC vendors pro users and if they are happy or unhappy, so they can specify if they dont need any integration*, they need some integration or they need so much integration that it is not recommended to use the theme. So i would like to gather information for everybody in the same thread. This is because is easier if we unifie information that it is dispersed among the different posts.

    * (i have read that if a theme have been coded correctly it must be compatible, but sometimes there is not the case. Furthermore, there are themes that offer full styling integration).

If you see that your theme is already listed, you can complete or add your information without deleting previous information.

    LISTIFY:

    1) D_ncs user: It is not the best for wc vendors. It is necesary an additional plugin. Dashboard is duplicated (Listing+Products). Theme is coded for listing, not for Products. It can be used and it runs, but i think there are better options.
    2)User…

    MARKETICA:

    1)User…

    HANDY:

    1)User…

    Next BOSS theme?

    1)User…

    Any obe using others…?

    Best regards.

ALL 100% WooThemes compatible themes will work with Free & Pro without any integration. SOME theme developers have added extra menus and template tweaks so that they are prettier.

Themes with extra tweaks specifically for WC Vendors products:

    – Marketica is advertised as 100% Pro and Free integrated now.

    – “Next BOSS Theme” because it’s unnamed still, is 100% Pro and 100% Free integrated. This theme, based on my previews, will give you an etsy style marketplace with a ton of great beauty and integration. ETA 3-5 weeks or less.

    – There’s more, I just cant remember them….. Post em here if you know em!

Themes that work very well 100%:

    – Superstore is a great theme, too. Lightweight, good for marketplaces with a lot of products. Easy to scale.

    – Storefront is good, lightweight, highly customizable, lots of child theme options, too. A bit ugly by default, but that’s where a good theme tweaker can have some fun.

    – Avada — Nice theme. Pretty. Lots of options.

    – Handystore – Has some quirks but overall a nice theme.

The shit pile: That means *avoid*. 😉

    – Divi — Stay away from it. It’s junk. They even go as far as disabling standard HTML on pages so your plugins are guaranteed to break!

    – Flatsome — Stay away from it. It’s worse than junk. It makes Divi look like an angel.

    I would like to add something for Marketica. As per latest version that I got as per today, it’s not fully compatible with WC Vendors Pro yet. It’s fine with WC Vendors Free. But when activating Pro, from what I can see now;
    – At Vendor store page
    – the banner layout suddenly becomes different with the circle user icon dissapear
    – the white space below banner suddenly dissapear
    – the sorting dropdown feature suddenly dissapear
    – At individual product page
    – ‘seller info’ tab dissapear
    – ‘more from this seller’ product listing at bottom dissapear
    – At product catalogue, the ‘by [vendor]’ wording change a bit, still there but changed design & position

I’ve contacted them about this, they haven’t respond to me yet.

Btw, any idea Ben why all those issue happening?

@had_hc — You can email Marketica Support – [email protected]. I’m not sure why the changes in Marketica are doing what they do, they have never sent us any evaluation copies of their theme and nor would we really test for them either, we have plugins to write. 🙂 Hope they can resolve them for you in short order.

A theme does not need to be specifically integrated with Pro, or Free, to work — all we require is a 100% WooCommerce compatible theme be used. It’s the theme authors choice to customize templates and things like that to improve the vendor, customer, and admin experience on the sites design. We do provide Pro (and Free) with a million filters, templates, and customizable options for anyone who wants to go nuts with it, and theme authors would be the ideal choice as well as third party plugin authors for extending Pro/Free in various ways. But of course, any customization a theme author does, we cant really have any say or anything with that, it’s their theme, not ours! 🙂 All you can do is contact their support channels and ask them to fix something if broken.

The issues with Divi and Flatsome (and a few others) are by the theme authors intentionally breaking things such as standard HTML in divi with their own javascript overriding things like HTML anchor tags. You’ll learn as time progresses that not all theme authors are equal. Some are exceptional. Some are crazy. And some never should be coding themes. You’ll come across all types! Which thankfully, this thread might help some folks get steered in the right direction if they read it. 😉

You can add Bazar from Themeforest to the shitpile. Every time WC or WCVendors updates something breaks with this theme. I’m looking for a good, reliable theme right now.

That’s weird for Bazar. No updates from Pro or Free should have any impact on a theme at all. They must have some goofy stuff hard coded into it somewhere. What problem are you seeing with Bazar?

    Hi,

can anyone here comment with first-hand experience of WCVpro with Avada?
    (1) Do all those pro-buttons, forms and texts inherit sensible styles?
    (2) Is it possible to run the dashboard within sections of the Avada Pagebuilder?

I am currently using Oshine, but that fails on both (1) and (2) … It’s a great theme, but not when used with wcvendors pro…

@jofeuerstein – I worked on a site that uses Avada with Pro and it looks pretty good. You cant use the Pagebuilder on the Pro Dashboard, because the Pro Dashboard is a shortcode, not page text. You can probably wrap stuff around the shortcode, but the shortcode must be there. 🙂

Oshine will be fine once you update to Pro v1.2.0 in about 2 hours. I’m packaging it up now.

Thank you, that’s great news! I’ve gotten kind of used to Oshine.

Ahem, one question, now that 1.2 is out: how do us poor souls do the upgrade that are affected by the licensing problem/Wordpress bug?

We’ll be issuing a hotfix for v1.2.0, so wait for v1.2.1 in about 8 hours. There’s a couple issues that need to be taken care of first. You can always download the latest @ wcvendors.com/my-account/

    Problems with Bazar –

Products are not being removed from inventory
NO emails at all are being sent – can’t even force them out with vendor notify button

I’ve deactivated all unnecessary plugins and deleted and reinstalled all WC and WCV plugins, still didn’t work. Switched to twenty fourteen and voila – everything’s fine so it has to be theme-related.

Bazar support sucks. I takes at least 24 hours for someone to respond and their first response is always “Did you update your theme?” Each time you answer your ticket automatically goes to the bottom of the pile and it takes another 24 hours for them to ask, “Have you deactivated plugins and tested?”

Finally got one of their techs to take a look at things and he stopped right in the middle of the fix because his shift was over. Told me I have to wait until he comes back to work tomorrow but I’ll be first on the list. Yeah, he’s ‘First On My List” too. The list of people who can just kiss my …!

He told me to enable WP Debugging on the site so I did. Then he said he was getting an error message because debugging was enabled. (smh!)

He did say he was seeing this on test orders: I get the error message from the website on checkout
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data from woocommerce script

Bazar isn’t set up to update through the WP dash. Everything has to be done via FTP. No big deal but it might make a difference for some users.

OK, end of rant. I’m in the middle of paying commissions and changing my theme. Ya’ll have a great day!
