NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

As of August 31, 2017 (12am EST) our support forums will be retired (read-only), and we will be moving to a support ticket system.  This will allow us to better organize and answer support requests, and provide a more personalized experience as we assist our customers.

For the time being, we will leave our forums open for reading and learning while we work on creating a more robust Knowledge Base for everyone to use.

If you are a WC Vendors Pro customer please open a support ticket here.

If you are a WC Vendors user please open a support ticket on the Wordpress.org forums.

The information on this forum is outdated and in most instances no longer relevant. Please be sure to check our documentation for the most up to date information.

Well, that was a fun half hour on your site.

First things first. Let’s get some useful information for you for requesting support.

1.) Start your own thread. I didnt realize till now that you’re posting in a completely UNRELATED thread asking for support on a completely unrelated issue. Click “Forums” then “Pro”, then scroll to the bottom, that’s where you post new support tickets. Post in your thread only. 🙂

2.) When you follow #1, you’ll see seven steps to diagnose your problem in advance. FOLLOW THEM ALL. And to answer your next question — YES, follow them EVERY TIME. 😉 Had you done that, one of the instructions in there tells you to:

3.) Disable all plugins other than WC Vendors Pro, WC Vendors, and WooCommerce. Test. Does it work? In your case, IT DOES. Disabling the plugin “BuddyPress” solved your problem, and allowed both Pro & Free dashboards to work.

So let’s look at #3 now and figure out — WTF Happened? I went through your BuddyPress settings, wp-admin > Settings > BuddyPress > Pages. Uhoh. Here’s the problem. You have your registration and activation page for new users set to your Pro & Free Dashboard pages. Why, well, that’s beyond me, I have no idea why you’d do that. Basically, by setting the pages to the wrong page, you screwed up your site. 🙂 I set them to “None” instead of the Free & Pro Dashboard pages for you, you’ll want to get that fixed, though, probably by restoring the pages you deleted from the trash and setting them correctly. Now, your site works just fine.

Please do create your own thread for all future support requests, and do follow the step by step diagnostic instructions to save us some time in the future. One less hour of support tickets for us, means one more hour coding cool features and improvements in Pro to you! Thanks 🙂

Ben, All I can say is “Thank you very much:). Like I mentioned before this is totally new for me. Should I be concerned with (screen shot attached)? If so, what do I do to correct? 🙂 Sidney

Nah, you can ignore that red text there. If you ever want WooCommerce to log things, you’d need to fix that. Most people wont ever need to though.

    Hello Ben,
I am sorry if I have stupid questions!
I have a handmade online shop but in my city we are a lot artisans and They are pushing me to open a online marketplace for handmade products to serve anyone and sell the handcrafted items everywhere.
So which is better for us? the Frontend Submissions + commissions or this one the WC Vendors Pro.

Is the WC Vendors Pro 149 USD yearly and for unlimited vendors in my site? do I need to have a web shop, ecommerce or any site or domain with wordpress?

I am starting from zero so it will be a new platform marketplace for my sellers. Please advise me how to do it.

If I am not in the right place for all these questions please suggest me where to find the answers.

Thanks once again for your time.

    Kind Regards,

    Cristhian

@Calpas — Technically, you should always start your *own* support topic, but since this is a general one it doesnt matter much. 🙂

Which is better, front end submissions + commissions or WC Vendors Pro? I’m kinda biased, my vote is for Pro. I’ve never even heard of the other plugin your referring to. WC Vendors is more popular than *any* other multi vendor marketplace solution by a factor of 15. It’s popular for a reason — it works, and we support it well.

The price for Pro is $149 per year. You can have as many vendors as you want.

I am starting from zero so it will be a new platform marketplace for my sellers. Please advise me how to do it.

haha, no, that’s not how it works. 🙂 If you’ve never used WordPress, WooCommerce, or even WC Vendors Free, you’re in for a nightmare. Re-think what you are doing. You cant just magically become an awesome admin by buying our plugin. That’s the same as being given batmans suit, and the keys to the batmobile, and then being told, with no training, to save Gotham City. You might consider having someone familiar with WordPress guide you along the way to get your site up and running. It’s not that it’s hard, but you need to know what you’re doing. We’re here to help you with WC Vendors Pro, but we’re not here to help you with the rest of running your store, and there’s a ton to it. You’re expected to have medium admin skills.

I don’t try to say this to scare you away, I try to say that to set the correct expectations for what’s required of you to have a successful marketplace. We always shoot from the hip and honestly here, so it’s just food for thought.

    Thanks Ben’

like a lot the way how your explanation was specially the Batman example.

I’m aware of that but since I built my webshop by myself with WIX, I like the challenges plus the support team over there is one of the best. Let’s try WordPress this time, what do you think?

You don’t scare me you just said the right thing.

Thanks once again Ben for your support. You the best!

    Hello once again,

I was checking you Pro demo, is it possible with the WC vendor my sellers list shoes with differents colors(Brown, light Brown, White, pink etc) and Sizes (6 US SIZE WOMEN TO 11 US SIZE WOMEN) for example.
And is there more categories and attributes choices.

    Thanks once again.

Hello, I made the purchase of the plugin and had this error:

@zionesantna — The problem is in /home/armaz107/public_html/wp-content/themes/THEME/functions.php on line 108. It’s not a WC Vendors problem, it’s something in your themes functions.php file.

    @tatuzsaltspear
Would you please start your own topic for this question (this one is very old) and include your site url and the details we request when starting a new topic? Please be sure to include your WooCommerce system status as we request.

Also, take a look at these debugging steps and go through them as well, as this can help us all try and isolate what may be causing the issue: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/read-before-requesting-support/
