    Ben hi,

I realize getting hot in Tampa this time of year, but one more support query for you…

I am using some WP / Excel tools to bulk create/upload my vendors, in batch mode.

I see most of the vendor fields in the wp-user-meta table, in phpmyadmin — but do you have anywhere online a reference to your WP Database tables/fields ?

Want to make sure I don’t miss anything.

    thanks

    GARRY, Los Angeles

p.s. is there a way to create a private post on this forum?

… BTW do I get a free t-shirt? 🙂 (not that you needed my plug – see attached)

also while I have you on this Private Reply… have you thought of creating a competitive feature chart between wc-vendors and woothemes product-vendors ?

They just announced a new version.

I purchased an earlier version of it prior to discovering wc-vendors. Was a piece of rubbish…

Temperature is great right now! It’s 77(F) outside. Back up North where my Mom lives, it’s 9(F). They can keep that cold weather. 🙂 Thanks for your nice review, too! No free t-shirts, we don’t have t-shirts, but if we ever make one, you got it. 😉

For database fields for products — there actually arent *any*. They are all WooCommerce. 🙂 Even the way we assign the vendor to the database is using a WooCommerce field — post_author is the vendors numerical user ID. That’s it! What I would do, in order to make sure you get all the meta keys / values is check the post meta and post tables after manually adding a product. From there, look that product up by its post ID in phpmyadmin and voila, you’ve got everything.

There is a good import tool, that does work with vendors products, and it is free, too: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-csvimport/

The new version of WooThemes Product Vendors v2.0 — their first feature update for that plugin in like 14 months (lol?) essentially brings it up to about half of the features that WC Vendors Free does. They have a loooooooong way to go. But the reality is, multi vendor marketplaces is not a huge market. It’s very small. They’ll make much more money focusing on plugins that most sites need, instead of the 0.1% that are marketplaces. I’d gander that’s why their other plugins are great but their vendor one sucks. 🙂

    Talk to you soon,

    Ben

Ben hi – thanks for this

It was the VENDOR user data and meta data that I am looking to create/upload. products come next.

Was going to try this plugin in order to export 1 sample vendor, to try to catch all the wc-vendor fields I need to populate in my CSV import file.

Woops! I read your question too fast. 🙂

    1.) Go to wp-admin
2.) Create a new user. Give them the role vendor. Save.
3.) Edit the user account — Fill out ALL THE DETAILS
4.) Then compare in phpmyadmin with wp_users and wp_usersmeta, you’ll see all the keys/values.

Everything is pretty straightforward from that point out. 🙂 The meta keys are all named things that should be quite obvious as to what they do.
