Anna, thank you for your time!

i will try to explain it more simply:

With WC Vendors plugin the customer is intended to be free to navigate in every store the site offer, buying products from different vendors.

Our idea is to use VC vendors to create a multi store on a single site BUT we want the customer can buy products only from a single vendor, i mean, we will give to the customer only his vendor shop URL, so the customer will buy only a Vendor products; you can see a vendors shop page here http://www.km-bio.es/tiendas/hevilla/

Since every vendor want to have specific information from his customer we thought to install this plugin (https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-checkout-field-editor/11725925) that permit us to create customs fields con the checkout page…. BUT since EVERY vendor has HIS custom fields we want to hide/show fields based on the vendor the customer is buying from…. so, for example:

If in the cart there are product only from the vendor A, we will display the custom checkout fields of the vendor A, and if the vendor is the B, we will show the B custom checkout fields and hide the A fields…

So we want to create a snippet that do:

Loop on all cart products, get the Vendor ID from every product and if there is more than 1 vendor ID fire a error message (f.e: you cannot buy from more than one vendor)…and if there is just one Vendor we will manage the custom fields for that vendor.

Obviously we can do this logic manually by asking the customer to choose his vendor from a combo box in the checkout page, but, it would be more efficient to do it automatically but the snippet…

Hope i did it in a good way this time…. thank you again Anna

    ok Anne, i understand completely.

Just one more thing: is there a way to programmatically know the current vendor id? i don’t know a little code snippet that can permit us to manage things in the function.php?

    thank you very much

    Anna thanks for your answer.

we really need at least the local delivery feature because every vendor has various points where he can ship the order and than, his customer, can get the order… it’s like Amazon do with his delivery points… you buy an item and then you decide to get it in a delivery point near your block…

Do you think you can develop it for us?

Simply it can be solved by giving the possibility to add a custom checkout field for every vendor where they can put whatever they want, not just delivery point… i mean: it would be great to have a section where every vendor (or admin) can create a potencial infinite number of custom checkout fields to add custom information… we would use it to add the “multi local delivery” thing… i think it would be great…

Or, do you have a code snippet that we can use to recognize the actual vendor the customer is buying and so we can add the code to add custom checkout fields? this would be another solution…

Thank you very much for your time and help!

    Hi Anna,
thank you, i’m tring your plugin in my test site… and i have another question….

As admin of the site can i create all the products beforehand and than can i assign every product to a single vendor… so every vendor can have a set of products that i had assigned to him?

    Thank you very much

    Hi, thank you very much.

I’m checking all of that thanks.

In the mean while please think about the weight shipping module because i think it would be a great feature.

So, if we’ll buy the pro version how our vendor can calculate shipping cost basing the calculation on the total weight of the order?

I mean a customer wants to but 10 Kg of potatoes and 12 Kg of carrots… the shipping cost is different respect to another customer who want only 10 Kg of apples… the shipping cost has to be calculated in due of the total weight (and better would be province/state/nation too)…

    WCVendor can do it?
    Thank you very much Angelo

    Hi, thank for the response.

And if the out vendors need to calculate shipping fee in due to the total weight of the order, we can install in woocommerce the usual plugin that manage this kind of calculation or is your plugin that needs to calculate it? I justed wanted to say: normal woocommerrce plugins (shipping fee, invoices, product reservations and so on) work corrctly and in a normal way even your plugin is working to offer the “vendor” feature in the site?

    Thank you very much
