Thanks again Anna. Any luck with Product CSV import?
I have been trying WP All Import that was recommended by rehub but I have been having issues with it. Any tips on what CSV product updater works best with WC Vendor Pro and hopefully… one day again soon… for vendors π

So is that a depreciated feature? Because that is a direct quote from WC Vendor documentation.
βYes, Product Vendor is compatible with the Product CSV Import Suite plugin. Enable that plugin and vendors will be able to utilize all the features, such as export and import.βAlso can I copy these gif to add to my site as how-tos for vendors? https://www.wcvendors.com/product/wc-vendors-pro/

February 2, 2017 at 10:24 pm in reply to: What is the best practice for the marketplace (mall) to sell it's own products #55019beforeplasticParticipantWeβre looking into some possible tax integration so this will be possible. At this time, the only tax collections that you can enable for calculation to be submitted to the vendors are based upon the main shop settings in WooCommerce ONLY.
So for vendors to collect taxes from their own state/country/regionβ¦ at this time they would essentially need to work this into their price of their product and keep the tax handling separate in their own fashion.FYI this is very dangerous for US store owners to do because it is illegal to collect taxes in states that you do not have a sellers permit in. So, in this case, if a vendor puts the tax inside their product price, they are in essence charging EVERYONE globally for taxes. neither the rate nor the justification will be accurate. From what I have learned researching US tax law, WC Vendor pro is not usable in the USA in it’s current state, because this model will land people in a potential financial and legal mess.
The way I see it, I have two options. Shut down the multivendor section of the site until Taxes are integrated/enabled OR spend $$$ to custom build this functionality in. What is your roadmap ETA for adding this critical functionality?

4) When is the ETA for core being rewritten? Glad to hear you are actively developing the platform. I think you have a great plugin. I just hope you quickly address Taxes and shipping because these are fundamental to ecommerce and should not be an afterthought. TaxJar has an API that already integrates with Woocommerce. Perhaps it’s not so difficult to enable for multivendor?

5) That makes sense but I am looking at it as one business. I can see the advantage however of separating your sales from your commissions.February 2, 2017 at 8:51 pm in reply to: Commissions not working correctly – User set commissions not over riding global #55005beforeplasticParticipant### WordPress Environment ### Home URL: https://www.beforeplastic.com Site URL: https://www.beforeplastic.com WC Version: 2.6.13 Log Directory Writable: β WP Version: 4.7.2 WP Multisite: β WP Memory Limit: 768 MB WP Debug Mode: β WP Cron: β Language: en_US ### Server Environment ### Server Info: Apache PHP Version: 5.6.30 PHP Post Max Size: 128 MB PHP Time Limit: 120 PHP Max Input Vars: 3000 cURL Version: 7.52.1 OpenSSL/1.0.2j SUHOSIN Installed: β MySQL Version: 5.6.28 Max Upload Size: 128 MB Default Timezone is UTC: β fsockopen/cURL: β SoapClient: β DOMDocument: β GZip: β Multibyte String: β Remote Post: β Remote Get: β ### Database ### WC Database Version: 2.6.13 : woocommerce_sessions: β woocommerce_api_keys: β woocommerce_attribute_taxonomies: β woocommerce_downloadable_product_permissions: β woocommerce_order_items: β woocommerce_order_itemmeta: β woocommerce_tax_rates: β woocommerce_tax_rate_locations: β woocommerce_shipping_zones: β woocommerce_shipping_zone_locations: β woocommerce_shipping_zone_methods: β woocommerce_payment_tokens: β woocommerce_payment_tokenmeta: β MaxMind GeoIP Database: β The MaxMind GeoIP Database does not exist - Geolocation will not function. February 2, 2017 at 7:09 pm in reply to: What is the best practice for the marketplace (mall) to sell it's own products #54999beforeplasticParticipantOk I just got off the phone with a tax opinion expert at the Ca Board of Equalization.
This is what they said:
In the model where I am providing the platform as a service to vendors, not selling the product myself, and there is a clear seller (vendor) who is responsible for shipping their own product, the seller is responsible for their own tax liability, nexus and resale permit(s).I, the marketplace would only be responsible in the event I offer fulfillment such as “fulfillment by Amazon”. IF I purchase the sellers product and resell it.
this being the case, I am confused by the current WC Vendor Pro tax setup. The platform seems to not accommodate the current US tax laws because there is no way for an individual vendor to set their individual tax rate for 1) their shipping within their own business address zipcode bubble and 2) to shipping to the rest of their state.
Please advise how WC Vendor accommodates this critical business requirement. Setting up tax correctly is the single most important feature requirement next to shipping for this plugin. If we screw this up, there could be massive financial implications.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you shortly. I am really hoping to be able to launch my store in the next week but this snag could be a major hold up.
February 2, 2017 at 5:45 pm in reply to: What is the best practice for the marketplace (mall) to sell it's own products #54993beforeplasticParticipantIn digging deeper into the WC Vendor model this is what I think I have found, please confirm:
Marketplace acts as the sole store and is responsible for Nexus taxes for the state it operates from.
Marketplace sells products and gives the vendor a commission
vendor fulfills the order
marketplace collects any taxes due to their state if the buyer purchases from marketplace state. What concerns me is that the states of vendors may want to collect tax on vendor sales made triggering a potential audit by the IRS.
In WC Vendor you have a checkbox “Give vendors any tax collected per-product” which is confusing because in the vendor dashboard there is no way for a vendor to configure their own tax classes to collect and manage tax. What am I missing?1) Is there a way to enable the vendor to collect their own taxes based off their own nexus laws?
2) Will WC Vendor Pro automatically only collect taxes from buyers in states where nexus applies
3) Is integration on the roadmap to automate tax rates per unique vendor nexus and allow them to input their state in the dashboard for the site to automate up-to-date tax rates using a service like TaxJar?
4) Is integration on the roadmap to automate shipping rates based off shipping location per vendor using a shipping calculator plugin for each of the carriers. Allowing each vendor to input their shipping address for the calculators to base off of?
5) in addressing my question earlier in the thread, if I make the marketplace products part of their own vendor level store, do I add the paypal account to the vendor area so I am collecting the sales $ by the store, then routing it to the vendor in the same account? So giving the marketplace vendor store 100% commission so the dashboard represents sales accurately? Wanting to know what the setup best practice is for the marketplace to sell products.
Thank you!
February 2, 2017 at 4:47 pm in reply to: What is the best practice for the marketplace (mall) to sell it's own products #54992beforeplasticParticipantSo is that a depreciated feature? Because that is a direct quote from WC Vendor documentation.
“Yes, Product Vendor is compatible with the Product CSV Import Suite plugin. As in auto-calculate tax based off their individual sending address and order’s billing address?

If I enabled automatic shipping calculator plugin, could it be estimated off the send address from each product since each product may be send from a different warehouse location?
February 2, 2017 at 4:15 pm in reply to: What is the best practice for the marketplace (mall) to sell it's own products #54986beforeplasticParticipantI found this in your documentation, can you tell me if this is still the case? Can vendors access this ability in their dashboard?

Can vendors upload a CSV of their products?Yes, Product Vendor is compatible with the Product CSV Import Suite plugin. Enable that plugin and vendors will be able to utilize all the features, such as export and import.
Vendors will only be able to export products that belong to them. Imported products will automatically be assigned to the vendor.

What about the plugin WP All Import – would that work for all vendors? Also can I copy these gif to add to my site as how-tos for vendors? https://www.wcvendors.com/product/wc-vendors-pro/
Thank you
beforeplasticParticipantMy apologies, I tried replaying to the specific code further up. Your code worked beautifully. The one I couldn’t get to work for figure out where to put it was the code to display the messages in it’s own tab in the vendor dashboard. It caused Fatal errors when I put it in the “grand”child theme with our without your links code.
function custom_menu_link( $pages ) {
if ( is_user_logged_in() ){$pages[ βcustom_linkβ ] = array(
βslugβ => bp_loggedin_user_domain().bp_get_messages_slug(),
βlabelβ => __(βMessagesβ.β β.messages_get_unread_count(), βwcvendors-proβ ),
βactionsβ => array()
);return $pages; }
}add_filter( βwcv_pro_dashboard_urlsβ, βcustom_menu_linkβ );
beforeplasticParticipantThis is great thank you.
For content, I want to create a standard form that each user fills out as a vendor FAQ. Do you know the best method to do this using your form, Buddyform or RH frontend form, for example, and putting in the parameters or shortcode to display form results for the unique seller of that unique product so it is automatic? Much like the extended profiles tab in the shop profile.beforeplasticParticipantI just tried to add this code to the vendor dashboard php file but it didn’t like it. Is there any update as to whether we can add pages in addition to links?
beforeplasticParticipantYes, I would like to have all vendors automatically be added to a vendor group in buddypress. or a way to easily sort all vendors, select all and add. Right now it seems they have to request an invitation but this is a private group for support. Thanks!
beforeplasticParticipantHow do you get the vendor ID if you are only using user-name?
January 21, 2017 at 3:38 pm in reply to: WC Vendor Pro features and/or integration with Yith to enable these features #53804beforeplasticParticipantPS. FYI I just wanted to give WC Vendor kudos for being an exceptionally good plugin and to you Anna for providing exceptional support. I don’t think I would have survived this set-up process with out it.
January 21, 2017 at 3:30 pm in reply to: WC Vendor Pro features and/or integration with Yith to enable these features #53801beforeplasticParticipantIs your plugin compatible with https://wordpress.org/plugins/contexture-page-security/
I am trying give access to a vendor to edit a single page. Thanks π You have been very helpful. Hopefully others will benefit from the answers as well.
beforeplasticParticipantI have a question: Is there a way to automatically add vendors to groups? I don’t see that capability. I only see the ability to add people one by one using their user name.
@Jim have you had any luck with integrating with LearnDash? I have a need for this as well but as Ben pointed out, integrations are tricky.
Thanks!
January 19, 2017 at 11:30 pm in reply to: WC Vendor Pro features and/or integration with Yith to enable these features #53679beforeplasticParticipantIf I install these will they at least show up on the front end for customers to calculate shipping rates by weight? As in a default for all vendors?
UPS Shipping method https://woocommerce.com/products/ups-shipping-method/
USPS shipping method: https://woocommerce.com/products/usps-shipping-method/Otherwise it is manual for all taxes and shipping?
If it is all manual, how does the vendor calculate the shipping for multiple items in the same order without shipping X QYT or Shipping X 1 (yet multiple items ordered causing the shipping to be underpaid.
January 19, 2017 at 8:13 pm in reply to: WC Vendor Pro features and/or integration with Yith to enable these features #53654beforeplasticParticipantAnd, what about integration with UPS Shipping method https://woocommerce.com/products/ups-shipping-method/
UPS shipping method: https://woocommerce.com/products/usps-shipping-method/
Auto tax rate calculator -see question posted on other post
International TAX rates i.e. VATIntegration with product CSV import: https://woocommerce.com/products/product-csv-import-suite/
These all seem very important for any store.
Thanks so much!
beforeplasticParticipantFor example do we need to enable a plugin like this or is it already included in WC Vendor: https://www.taxjar.com/woocommerce-sales-tax-plugin/
beforeplasticParticipantChecking in to see if there has been an update to #3. Are you saying that if the marketplace is in CA for example, CA sales tax will be charged on orders from all vendor even if they are in a state that does not charge sales tax?
Another example: if marketplace was in a state that does not charge sales tax, all vendors would not have to charge sales tax on orders even if they live in a state like CA that requires sales tax?
Also is there an ETA for improvements and if so, what are they?
Also is there a sales tax calculator feature or plugin we can enable that automatically calculates tax per order?
Thanks so much for any clarity you can provide on this.
beforeplasticParticipantI am interested in this as well. More serious vendors will expect this. Not having this option will be a deterrent for professional stores with a lot of product. Please keep us updated with an ETA for this feature π Thanks!
PS> in the meantime, are we able to upload on behalf of a vendor? Assign to a vendor store upon upload?
January 19, 2017 at 5:15 pm in reply to: WC Vendor Pro features and/or integration with Yith to enable these features #53639beforeplasticParticipantGreat news about Bookings coming π and I deleted Yith pre-orders and will use yours when it comes out.
Question: How do I add a menu item to the venue stores? I want to add vendors blog and change the names of the menu items. i.e. change “items” to “shop”. See attached for menu I am referring to.
January 18, 2017 at 12:40 am in reply to: WC Vendor Pro features and/or integration with Yith to enable these features #53387beforeplasticParticipantCan it be applied to products on the backend for vendors in the admin in the meantime or it it only for marketplace/sitewide subscriptions and marketplace/sitewide education?
January 17, 2017 at 5:42 pm in reply to: WC Vendor Pro features and/or integration with Yith to enable these features #53351beforeplasticParticipantThat makes sense. Great to know about pre-order? How soon? I will disable YITH’s version then.
What about adding WooCommerce Sensei, WooCommerce Subscriptions and WooCommerce Membership capabilities for vendors?
Thanks π
January 14, 2017 at 7:21 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #53147beforeplasticParticipantOk thank you I will ask them.
Is there another these you recommend for multi-vendor that may be better?
January 14, 2017 at 6:39 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #53142beforeplasticParticipantIt must be coming from WooCommerce. Maybe WC Vendors can look at this and put integration on the roadmap.
Check it out, shows up under Edit products on the right where you can select multiple stores to add each product to. I can see this as an asset but also will be unruly because at the moment it seems to be manual. It would be great if Vendors could select what Mall Store their products fall under for approval from the admin for a curated site.
If there’s thousands of products, this would have to be an easy process.
January 14, 2017 at 6:01 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #53130beforeplasticParticipantMy apologies, I must have not been clear.
In the main WP-Admin menu I have an icon labeled Products with a sub-menu titled StoresWP-Admin / Products / Stores
Here I can create stores. Under products I see the store menu in the right hand column with the ability to assign a product to a store. this is separate from vendors stores and they do not seem to be integrated at all.
My question is how is the model WC Vendors intended to be used with each of these capabilities.
WP-Admin / Products / Stores = Mall Stores; Brand or high level collection type
Wp-Admin / WooCommerce / WC Vendors / Shop page = vendor shops. individual products or collections to be applied to various Mall Stores?
Vendor Profile = individual sellerMall Stores also have their own

January 13, 2017 at 6:29 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #53002beforeplasticParticipantMakes total sense! Will be sure to include it every time π
I’m trying to figure out how Stores / Vendors and Shop all tie together. Can you point me to documentation on how to configure Product / Store not to be confused with Vendors. and where to define the store permalink.
See question in this thread above. I want to be sure I am understanding how it is intended to work so I set it up correctly from both a taxonomy standpoint and functionality.
I’ve been searching on your site and google and I am not find anything that covers this.
Thanks!
January 13, 2017 at 5:55 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #52994beforeplasticParticipant@Anna can you also clarify this question? it will help me reset the appropriate naming convention for /shop /stores /vendors
Also where do I change the base URL for Stores?
Marketplace (your-website.com) = MALL
Vendor Stores = stores within the mall (i.e. Victoriaβs Secret)
Vendor= owner of store within the mall OR brand (i.e. Victoriaβs Secret CEO)WC Vendors works similar to eBay, Etsy, Amazon.. mostly independent sellers with mini shops within a big marketplace.
To clarify: site.com = mall
Stores = brand? victoria secret brand
Vendor = seller of that brand? Sellers of victoria secretor

January 13, 2017 at 5:50 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #52990beforeplasticParticipant@ben I wasn’t aware I had to post my system report with every support case. I have already posted that recently. If you need it every single time I am happy to do that.
…and fyi.. I do care. Feel free to remind us to include a systems report in your first response since it is so critical for support.
@Anna Thank you for the WC Vendor settings tip. Very helpful.January 13, 2017 at 5:17 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #52981beforeplasticParticipantOk… I got it to work when I keep the Base page as the main shopping display page – no custom template. If I make the base page anything else it breaks it. Not sure why.
Also the page permalink cannot be mysite.com/shop
If it is, it doesn’t work
Anything other than “shop” they custom product permalinks will work.
so not the question is, what do I need to do to make “shop work since that is the base I want to use?
After trying all combinations I could think of linking these thee areas:
Settings/Product Permalink
Product search page
Woocommerce/Products/Shop and Product pagesI have found one solution work-around to make product pages show up
Product search page: permalink = mysite.com/shop
Under Settings/Product Permalink: clicked radio button Shop base with categor and hit save
Once saved it automatically changes it to custom base with entered code. In the custom base field I deleted the “shop” directory in the URL to: /%product_cat%Now the product pages are live and I was able to keep the mysite.com/Shop URL as the base product page.
Hope this helps anyone else with this same issue.
Cheers!
January 13, 2017 at 5:14 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #52980beforeplasticParticipantOk with further testing this still isn’t functioning right if I want to use any of the other funtions: Shop Base, shop base with category or custom base. do I need to reach out to Woocommerce or is this a WC Vendor issue?
For Product Permalinks: These settings control the permalinks used specifically for products.
I am trying to make the product pages go to mysite.com/shop/product-category/sample-product/
This is much better for SEO then product/sample-product
January 13, 2017 at 4:53 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #52979beforeplasticParticipantI figured out what the issue was. It was the Product Permalinks structure in Settings. When I changed my Custom that I added (recommended in documentation) back to Default, it worked again.
I will keep BP WC Vendor off. I was under the impression it was necessary. All issues with that plugin and no upside?
Thanks for your help π
January 13, 2017 at 4:46 pm in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #52978beforeplasticParticipantThat is correct, I was using the BP WC vendor plugin. I disabled the plugin but the product buttons in the vendor store and searches still no longer go to a unique product page.
This issue was not related to downloadable fields fyi, but that is good to know π
Checkout this mock vendor. when you go to the store and click on the product I just added after removing the BP WC plugin, it still doesn’t take you to the product page. https://www.beforeplastic.com/shop/harty-healthy-shop/
It’s as if there is a redirect for all product pages to go to beforeplastic.com/shopJanuary 13, 2017 at 3:52 am in reply to: Vendor's Products not automatically creating a unique product page #52913beforeplasticParticipantPS> They are creating a page. It looks like the problem is that the read more button and product photo area does not link to the product page. something isn’t working right. thank you π
beforeplasticParticipantHello, checking in to see if product add-ons and gift wrapping has been included in pro or on the roadmap for integrations.
If not, or not in the near future, is there an official recommendation to making those plugins work?
Also will all the other woocommerce plugins have the same issue? I thought WC Vendor was WooCommerce compatible. I would also like to add “ask your price” from woocommerce and subscriptions. Will these have the same issues?
beforeplasticParticipantI have an issue with Social not showing up on the store banner as well. There also is no button in the vendor dashboard for the vendor to input their social links: facebook.com/vendor1
Is there a setting somewhere that I need to turn on to enable this feature?
I do see social icons in the vendor profile only but still now way to add the links. Please advise. I have submitted my login info in my last support submission. Thanks.
beforeplasticParticipantThank you. Their plugin solved the ADD post requirement.
beforeplasticParticipantI submitted a ticket the Rehub asking about how to enable a vendor to post a blog and add these two links to the user login menu:
Add product
Add post (blog)Is this something that is accomplished through your plugin or the theme?
Also how/when/and where should I be using the My Account for users and can this section be integrated in with “my profile”. Perhaps added as a link within the BuddyPress profile so it’s easier to navigate for the user?
beforeplasticParticipantThank you. I sounds like Paypal may be a safer bet to ensure the products are shipped before paying the vendor to mitigate vendors from creating fraud orders to get paid 95% of a sale that was never shipped. Does that make sense?
beforeplasticParticipantWhat about assigning privileges to vendors:
vendor + blogger
vendor standard settingsHow do I assign two roles to a vendor (vendor + blogger) or create a new role that combines both capabilities?
Use-case: I have a vendor I want a enable to be a blogger and forum moderator on the site.
How is this accomplished? I am seeing a lot of fragmented info, but no concrete how-to’s.
beforeplasticParticipantI have woocommerce set up with WC Vendor Pro, Buddy Press and BP WC Vendors on my site.
Is the overall model designed for the mainstore.com to collect/process all payments then pay the vendors? Hense the one-way payment direction of mainstore.com to it’s vendors?
So in the case that the vendors handle shipping/distribution the mainstore would collect and process the money then if only taking 5% commission for example would set commissions to 95%
Is this how it is intended to be used? if now can you provide a link or explain the intended business model around this?
Thank you!
January 8, 2017 at 6:04 pm in reply to: Switching from WC Vendor FREE to WC Vendor PRO broke vendor sites #52480beforeplasticParticipantPS thank you Anna, I will disable RH forms. You may want to tell this to ReHub since they are heavily relying on and pushing the use of WC Vendor plugin
January 8, 2017 at 6:03 pm in reply to: Switching from WC Vendor FREE to WC Vendor PRO broke vendor sites #52479beforeplasticParticipantWill the plugins work on the network site at least? For example, if remove the ability for registrants to create a site.
My assumption is that if I wanted to create a new ecommerce site, in multi-site, I would have to purchase the licence for each site.
So the question is: if I leave my WP instance as multisite, but only use the network site, will your plugin work?
Also, does your plugin provide a site-like profile page for vendors where they can create blogs and customize their store beyond what is there in the dashboard? I am wondering if I switch to single WP instead of multi-site, will I have added features or will it work the same as it is now minus the ability to work across multiple sites?
beforeplasticParticipantI am getting Fatal Errors as well. Not using Word Fence. Support post is here: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/switching-from-wc-vendor-free-to-wc-vendor-pro-broke-vendor-sites/#post-52365
January 7, 2017 at 5:02 pm in reply to: Switching from WC Vendor FREE to WC Vendor PRO broke vendor sites #52365beforeplasticParticipantFATAL ERROR upgrading to WC Vendor PRO:
I tried the steps on this post: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/fatal-error-after-trying-to-update-wc-vendors/
After deleting FREE and PRO I looked in the directory and there were no duplicates.
When I reuploaded the FREE version sites came back up. Then when I uploaded the PRO version the sites went down again.
Can someone help with this? Is this a bug with PRO?
Where do I message you privately to provide login access to investigate?
January 7, 2017 at 4:44 pm in reply to: Switching from WC Vendor FREE to WC Vendor PRO broke vendor sites #52364beforeplasticParticipantThank you but that is not the issue. I reactivated WC Vendor FREE and it still is like that.
beforeplasticParticipantIf the vendor is handling the distribution, shipping, taxes and customer support, how does the house/main-store collect a commission on every sale? I don’t see a way to do that in settings. Or are you saying the House takes the payment, then pays the vendor 90% commission for example? Please advise.
