Hi Marc,
Not sure how I missed your answer here, but would you mind elaborating a bit on this? @Anna I’ve not given up hope. Any chance it could happen in the future version of WC Vendors?
chainznanzParticipantHi Anna, thank you for prompt reply.
It would be amazing if this was possible. It will really cover all my needs. *fingers crossed*
Thanks.
chainznanzParticipantHi folks, it’s been more than a fortnight since I raised a query. Would love to get your insight on this soon.
Thanks again.
chainznanzParticipantHi Jamie,
Thanks for your reply. I don’t have the tech nous to achieve that. Would it be too much of an ask to provide me with the code?
Thanks
chainznanzParticipantHello Ben,
You misunderstand. ‘Product Category by’ needs to dynamically change depending upon the product’s category. For example ‘Sold by Ben’ should be ‘T-shirt by Ben’
Any chance you can help me to achieve that?
chainznanzParticipantHi Ben,
This is related to the poster’s question, so thought i’ll ask here. Hitting ‘Copy template’ in the Notify Vendor email section copies to /theme/woocommerce/vendor-new-order.php instead of copying it to /theme/woocommerce/emails/vendor-new-order.php. In fact all WC Vendors’ emails are copied to the ‘Woocommerce’ directory. So the template changes are not being reflected.
I’m not sure if there’s something wrong with my site or it’s WC Vendors-related. Can you check?
Copying Woocommerce emails work okay.
chainznanzParticipantWould like this as well. I highlighted this last year and Ben showed me a way to do it (https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/updating-shop-name-and-shop_page-link-during-registration/), but I would love if it’s integrated with WC Vendors.
April 27, 2015 at 10:03 am in reply to: Updating Shop Name and $shop_page link during Registration #4777chainznanzParticipantBen, I noticed that $shop_page link is still set from the userid/email address, unless the vendor goes to the shop settings page and enters the Shop Name. Is it possible to set the $shop_page link to ‘firstname-lastname’ at the time of registration?
Apologies if there is a simple answer to this, that I haven’t figured out.
April 27, 2015 at 8:48 am in reply to: Updating Shop Name and $shop_page link during Registration #4775chainznanzParticipantBen, you are awesome 🙂 And I should be paying attention to the changelog!
Thanks again.
chainznanzParticipantYeah, the shop description and Shop Name from domain.com/vendors/vendor-name. I just want to simply hide them from that page only. Sorry about the confusion.
chainznanzParticipantHi Ben,
Thanks for the tip. I don’t however want them to be empty. I just want to specifically hide them from the Vendor’s Store page (I show both name and description somewhere else). Is there a snippet I could copy to functions.php? Sorry if this is a simple tweak, I’m still getting used to PHP.
Thanks
chainznanzParticipantHi Ben,
Thank you for trying, but i’m not understanding this. I’m an idiot. I need to learn PHP before I can do any of this. I’ve just been relying on Google so far. Thanks for being patient with me.chainznanzParticipantHi Ben,
Thank you for replying. I spent a whole day on this, but couldn’t manage to do it. I’m still new to PHP, and understand only a bit of it.
value=”<?php echo get_user_meta( $user_id, ‘pv_shop_name’, true ); ?>”/> I know pv_shop_name is the Shop Name. I have set up the registration to include first name and last name. I want the first name and last name entered on the form to be replicated in Shop Name field. I’ll really appreciate if you could help me.
Thanks
