My developers did this for me in a morning – I have a tick box to allow max shipping per order / per vendor so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Works really well.

Some that I have used previously have a forum where users can share their site details if they want so other users can take a look.

helloandParticipantThis makes it unworkable for me. I am not sure what I can do as we were definitely promised max shipping charge and this is what I was waiting for and had told my vendors was coming.
This is so disappointing, any customer will be put off buying by the multiple shipping fees they will be charged if they buy a variety of products.
helloandParticipant@nikosmdtps I would like the variable products to be available for the vendors to set themselves at the front end as it is very labour intensive for us to have to do it and then the vendors can mess it up.
HOWEVER – failing that it would really help to have the shipping at the back end.
helloandParticipant@nikosmdtps your English is excellent. But you are welcome. The variable product thing is a problem for me too, I have to keep correcting products when vendors (understandably) try to edit them from the frontend.

I tried them first, they basically take your money and run!
I am £100 down, they don’t respond, take holidays and leave office for days at a time and are generally very unpleasant.I threatened them with trading standards as I believe their sale blurb to be misleading but of course they are protected by being out of the country.
Ben and Jamie are very helpful and responsive, which is key to customer service. There are issues that I need resolving but I know I will be kept up to date all the time and be treated in an efficient friendly manner.
Not sitting on the fence here 🙂
helloandParticipantFor me it needs to work in this way:
1.If a customer buys multiple products from a vendor they only pay one lot of shipping to that vendor, even if there is a variety of products.
Ideally this would be by a capped upper limit per vendor in basket.
2.If products from multiple vendors are in basket then there would be multiple shipping costs to be allocated to each vendor. (Each vendor capped as above)
Please please can you take a look at this, could do with an income 🙂

I am so far down the line with this I am not sure what to do. I really need this before my vendors give up waiting.

I had this problem, I think – you can only add to individual products via frontend, pro dashboard.

helloandParticipantThanks, although I will have a lot of variations and if the vendor changes things in the front end it always wipes out the variable product settings. Will the default shipping rates work on the variations?
While we are on variations will the vendors be able to set them at some point in the future?
(I have had user switching from the start so thought it was just part of the system, would be lost without it. Thanks to my developers for that one :))

This was a problem I had – they may be a better way but at the moment I just add to the vouchers, must be accompanied by proof of purchase.
We are small at moment so manageable but not ideal.
Maybe Ben will have the answer 🙂

Yes – you just have to list as a virtual / downloadable product and upload the voucher. WE have done this with afternoon tea vouchers http://helloand.co.uk/product-category/foodie-experiences/afternoon-teas/

helloandParticipantApologies Ben – I think I see what the issue was – the vendor had given the customers 10% discount on sales over £10 which wiped out my 10% commission.
I have now changed the commission settings to commission being applied after coupon use.
Does that make sense?

So far I have used a developer but have run out of funds until I start to generate some income so would like to do small adjustments myself.

Just to check I am getting the process correct – when feedback submission is received is it then necessary to copy and paste into product so it appears as a testimonial? There isn’t an automated way?

On the Vendor store set up page you can enter testimonials about the store. However on filling this in it doesn’t actually appear anywhere.

Screen shot 2 shows choices available to vendors when listing product via frontendThis lists do not match and some categories are unavailable for selection by vendor.

however, still confused re testimonials. In the backend admin on the Vendor store page I can enter existing testimonials that my vendors have but they are not then visible anywhere on their page. This relates to the vendor rather than feedback about a specific product I believe?

I just want to allow the vendors to be able to say more about themselves but not on their vendor store as that would take up too much space.
A lot of them have won Great Taste Awards etc so this would be a nice facility.
Any ideas? (Is the text in store description designed to not be formatted by admin?)
