    Hello, I have purchased my second WCVendors to update my software. It’s fixed the problems I was having however I just received a message from one of my vendors saying that she is unable to see the customers details. Also she did not get an email notification that she had an order like she had before. I just updated the system yesterday in which her it showed working fine prior to me updating the system but now this morning both of her orders do not show so it has to do something with the updated latest version of WCVendors.

    For the time being I was able to provide a pdf Invoice created with a plugin and email her copies of the orders she did not have information on. However I can’t be doing this every time. Attached is the image she sent me. Please let me know any further information you would need….I will send a separate massage with my site details.

    I have the same fatal error…however I’m not able to update my plugin to fix this issue. When I had tempted to update the pro version I had to deactivate it…I’m able to get the WC Vendors Pro 1.3.7 to now work but the license keeps coming up with an error when trying to save it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    I currently have the vendors pro deactivated because I am getting this fatal error after updating my plugins:

    Fatal error: Class ‘WC_Vendors’ not found in /home/theviny5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors-pro/includes/class-wcvendors-pro-ratings-controller.php on line 803

    I’ve since then been able to get the plugins to update and activated however my licenses are needing to be re-entered and is not accepting the licenses that I’m placing in.

    I was wondering if this has been fixed as I see that the name of the shop is also linking to the first product of the vendors. Thanks!

    Actually I went ahead and fixed it…In: wp-child/wc-vendors/store/store-header.php

    Replaced

    Ok…well thanks anyhow…I’ll keep searching and trouble shooting…

    Might have to consider changing the template all together…in which case this will be the 3 round of template trial and error of trying to find the right fit.

    I looked up the updates on it…and they are stating updates to the theme is compatible for pro…however after doing update it didn’t fix the missing issues. I guess I’ll keep hounding and hope to hear a response but keep plugging away at a solution until then. Thanks.

    I would just hate to have to implement all the features that are missing of why I purchased the template to begin with.

    Sigh…way of the beast…trying to tame all elements of a website to play nice together.

    I’m not sure if this helps but I get this error message if I go to my account and try to pay for the order that doesn’t completed from the internal server error:

    Fatal error: Class ‘OAuthDataStore’ not found in /home/theviny5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors/classes/gateways/PayPal_AdvPayments/PayPal_AP/classes/adaptivepayments-sdk/lib/auth/AuthUtil.php on line 4

    would this have to do with my Adaptive Pay settings? I checked them and they all look to me the same…and I haven’t changed a thing since the upgrade…So I’m not sure why it will not connect to PayPal.

    From what I see it’s referencing errors from my other websites that are sub directories of this one which is my primary account.

    Hi Jamie!

    Thank you for your help!!!

    I am hoping I get some resolve from the template from the support there. Still waiting on a response however.

    I do have a new issue that is occurring. A vendor of mine is not able to access her products page to be able to edit…and also her customers are not able to check out at all. They get to the very last checkout page and get a Internal Server Error. I tested it out myself and am getting the same error.

    Any help on this would be great! Thank you again for your time!

    I’m not sure as to why my post last night has all the in between spacing as it does above…but anyhow…I’ve gone ahead and contacted the designer as I’m sure they are the ones that should address these issues I’m finding. I know it has to be with what files are being overwritten but I’m not sure which files are causing these changes.

    For the pro version to work…should I be placing the copied files in the parent theme WC-Vendor folder or the child theme?

    Keep me posted on the other…I’m not sure if I should do another promo any time soon being I can’t look at the dashboard orders area. I also have a question…i noticed a lot of customers this time around were not able to link up to their downloads via email…would the abundance of orders have anything to do with this? I wouldn’t think it would but thought I would ask.

    Thanks!

    when I change it to the old my drop down menu for my accounts…all the links disappear.

    The more I’m looking over the updates the more I’m seeing issues with it not playing nice with this template.

    I also am seeing on the products detail page…there is no longer the “sold by” vendors shop name with a link directing customers to their main shop on the right column…nor is there a contact link to the contact form like there was before under the seller info tab along with visit name of shop link. You can see here what I mean on their demo site.

    http://demo.toko.press/marketica2-wcvendors/shop/framework-for-design-wordpress/

    Also vendor directory pagination shows up now but doesn’t work properly. The directory was something I could never get to work so I had set to 100 but now there are pagination numbers that are showing up that do not look or work properly.

    http://thevinylcut.com/vendor-directory/

    Then the shop page is nothing like what it looked like originally:
    http://thevinylcut.com/vendors/the-vinyl-cut/#.VqsIkFK5InU

    Demo: http://demo.toko.press/marketica2-wcvendors/vendors/toko-berjaya/

    Is there a way to have a default background image for shop banners? Right now they all look really bad. I see that the header does not automatically adjust to size like it did before and cuts off any extra details:
    http://thevinylcut.com/vendors/line-family-creations/#.VqsJjlJKonU

    I’m not sure how much the designer should be looking into this. They unfortunately do not have a forum set up if I remember right so much is done via email.

    I’m actually heading to bed for the night but hopefully will be back at this tomorrow as I know there are clients waiting for things to be put back in order.

    Thanks again for your help.

    I just notices these couple of these quirks.

    A couple of things since the update…

    I see on the Branding page…
    Store Banner & Store Icon shows up twice in a row.

    Also now when I go to products page…I do not see the edit link…only view and delete.

    I’m not 100% sure if this is because of the update but do notice it’s different since the last time I looked at these pages.

    I did bump it…as long as I did it right…

    Changed in the wp-config.php file:
    define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’ );

    I’m not seeing that it helps my account. But you did say the dashboard and order pages should work for other vendors without a hitch…which is really the most important thing.

    I promise to not delete a single order!

    Thanks again for your help! (I’m pretty sure you never sleep.)

    Hi Ben!

    As always Fast and Reliable Support! Oh if I could get this kind of customer service in all areas of my life. I appreciate your feedback on the website. It helps to have a web design/graphic design background. It comes in handy for spontaneous sites that come to be such as this one. 😉

    I’m going to have to buckle down and remove some of the plugins when I get more time. I know I don’t need all of them. This site by far is the heaviest site I’ve ever ran which is why I had to upgrade to the VPS and crashed when I had over 2500 visitors on there all at once.

    I’ll be happy to let you guys use my site as a guinea pig! I’ll make sure not to change anything so you can have access to the site for whatever you need to look into!

    My biggest problem is that I run FREEBIE specials with each new design I promote where they are only free for a day or two which causes a frenzy. I’ve thought of ways to work around not doing this because of the amount of memory it adds to the site every time I do this…but on the other hand, I find it helpful for when people come back and say they did or didn’t get the freebie file during the promotion time…I can simply look up their order to verify and simply have the files/order resent. I guess I could delete orders after 30 days if that would help…Something I need to ponder. Especially knowing after another year of these special promo frenzies where I’d be at then.

    I do thank you for the suggestions and also for doing the update that I hadn’t gotten around to yet!!! I appreciate all of your help as always!

    Hi Ben!

    I truly appreciate your response to this…however I’ve gone ahead and transferred to a hosting provider that is able to move all my sites at once without me having to do much other than change DNS records…they were also having a discount of 50% off and rated to be much better than my current provider…after a LOT of research. So I’ll be trying them out for the time being. I’ll definitely keep you in mind if this becomes yet another dead end. I’m at least able to get a refund from this company if it ends up not working out as well. Wish you the best in the endeavor.

    Hi Ben!!!

    You don’t have to tell me how shitty it is! It’s been an absolute nightmare…I feel completely screwed over by them! They talked up and provided red carpet support and promised they were the solution and well now they’re pulling the rug out from under me…locking me out of ALL my sites and saying my only options are to upgrade by spending over a grand for them to “unlock” my sites or move them else where with NO PRO RATED REFUND. Wow I royally got screwed. On top of that I’ve double paid hosting providers from the one prior to this one I moved from. I’ve literally spent a small fortune already in hosting cost this past year.

    Wow…I feel as though it makes complete sense you would provide this has a service being that I feel that all other hosting companies are out to gouge you and take advantage of disparate situation such as this that they are creating. It actually makes me sick. Not to mention the hundreds of dollars they are costing me in the loss of sales today. Ouch.

    So onward..what all do I need to get to you exactly…sorry you may need to talk slooowly and repeat in small simple phrases because my brain is fried after today of damage control…My FB feeds blew up with hundreds of comments that I had to try to put out the fire because of this bs.Ugh.

    Is there a link or something I can look at? also what does it look like to have several websites hosted through you…

    Thank you about the success! I don’t know that it’s a huge success being that lot of the orders are freebies…but a lot of my sales and the sales of the vendors derive from these freebie files so it works I guess.

    As for the plugin…Awesome! I will be installing that here in a moment.

    For the work around on the settings on pending orders to not cancel…I found a forum that stated to go to Admin WooCommerce > Settings > Products Tab > Then Set “Hold Stock (minutes)” to 0

    It states: Hold stock (for unpaid orders) for x minutes. When this limit is reached, the pending order will be cancelled. Leave blank to disable.

    I’m hoping this works and is the solution for this happening.

    Thanks again for everything! Have a great Monday! 🙂

    Whew Ok! It became a red flag to me when I had the customer contact me with concerns that their order was cancelled thinking it was something that wasn’t processing correctly on my end. (I’ve never had this volume of orders go through so this this is all new to me.)

    Can you also explain why a digital order would be a Processing status? Most of the orders I see them as being complete…but not sure as to why I have so many that are in Processing mode.

    Do you suggest to take off the auto pending to cancelled order status after a limited time so that abandoned orders only stay as pending? Or keep it so that pending orders go to be cancelled. Also after a certain amount of time do owners of the site delete these abandoned carts/cancelled orders? I see these adding up after a while? Is there an option to have them automatically delete after a month or so?

    “WooCommerce will not generate download permissions until an order is processing or completed. There’s also an option in WooCommerce, that was added at MY request a long time ago, with a checkbox to only give download permissions for completed and not processing, too. That, in fact, was my first WooCommerce core contribution. ”

    Thank you for this!!! I’m assuming this is set in by default…is that correct? Thanks again for your most timely response and all your help! Hope you’re having a wonderful week!

    in reply to: Arhhhh PayPal Adaptive Payment & Fees (Another one) #6823
    katie eldridge
    Participant

    Hi Jamie!

    You have been a wonderful help in all this mass of confusion of trying to get this all set up.

    So if I’m wanting payment to be instant:

    I simply have to make sure Adaptive payment is setup and set as a payment option and for now it doesn’t matter if I have
    “Instantly pay vendors their commission when an order is made” checked or not…all vendors including myself will be paid instantly until this is fixed? So in theory for the following scenarios…

    If All done instantly…

    Shopper pays for items using PayPal Adaptive.
    Store Owner Gets paid 10% Minus PP Fees
    Vendor 1 gets paid 90% of what was purchased from their shop – Minus PP Fees
    Vendor 2 gets paid 90% Minus PP Fees of what was purchased from their shop – Minus PP Fees
    (same for up to 6 vendors otherwise transaction will fail.)
    ***Mass Payment is then Not needed***

    Ok how does it work if I then want a schedule….

    -Shopper pays for items using regular PayPal or any other payment gateway even cash
    -Store owner receives full payment and occurs the transaction fees. (No fees if paid in cash)
    -Vendors will then get paid through Mass payment set by Manual or set schedule
    -The store owner then occurs the mass payment fee of min of 2% & max of $1 per vendor payment.
    -Vendor pays no fees other than what their commission rate is that is deducted and automatically calculated with the sale of their items.

    -Is the Scheduled mass payments done automatically weekly or however it is set then or will I have to go in to trigger this to happen?

    From what I’ve read on other forums the Adaptive Payment has to be set as a payment option..do you then disable reg. PayPal? If that is the case then only Adaptive Payment is the option to use so you are saying no matter what the schedule is set at for no everyone will be paid automatically because it is what’s being used as payment?

    What happens if you have regular PayPal used to make purchase or another Payment gateway…will vendor still get paid automatically with Adaptive Payment in place or is this only the case when Adaptive Payment is used by the shopper? And when fixed automatic will only be in place even if Adaptive Payment is used to checkout with?

    As it is right now…no matter what the settings are purchases from 6 vendors is only allowed when Adaptive payment is setup or only happens when it is used as the payment process?

    When you say you’ll have this fixed Is this want you are meaning about the bug still paying automatically even if it’s unchecked?

    Ok…last one…in theory if I have 0% commissions as the shop owner and vendors are the ones to receive full amount…can this work by setting commission rates to 0% and vendors getting paid automatically?

    Whew.

    I think that wraps it up for me. I hope I’m clear on my questions. Thank you Thank you!!!! You’ve been wonderful to finally get answers!!! I could do a happy dance! It seems you have become the guru of PayPal over the years! Not a light task to get through the tangle mess of how it all works. So again THANK YOU!

    Now that I have it disabled it seems to work…however I’d still like a way for my vendors to be able to edit their profile image as being their logo image…is there another plugin or option to be able to do this?

    in reply to: WooCommerce POS #6662
    katie eldridge

    Hi Felipemule,

    I have both the free POS and WooCommerce Point of Sale plugins installed. The one I purchased does have a lot more features and I will say they both work great with WC Vendors. The Free POS is more limited although much simpler to use is great if you want a simple nice looking POS used for one admin.

    I really like your idea of being able to add this type of POS fucntion/service to vendors. I hadn’t thought of it being a service that vendors could use but this would be a great feature for them to be able to utilize and if possible…why not!?

    I believe with the purchased POS this could be possible. As long as you allow your user to have viewable access to the backend of the site which is where the POS is worked from.

    With the Purchased POS you do have options to add Users/Outlets and Registers. The outlets set users to the POS and the Registers limits who and what products can be sold from. I have not tested this out…but in theory I would think this would be possible.

    http://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-point-of-sale-pos/7869665 is the plugin it’s $42.00. Well worth it in my opinion.

    One thing I do like about this as oppose to the Free POS is that it will not allow one to purchase a product once it is out of stock as long as you have the stock fields in place. The free POS being simpler still allows a purchase of the product no matter what the stock settings are at and only places a negative amount for what is available once sold. Not idea in my situation.

    Sorry I can’t give you a clear yes or no…but from what I can tell it should be possible. I’d email a pre-sell question to the plugin and see if they could answer it more directly as to how that works for users to be ale to sell their own products from specific registers. My only question would be how the products can be limited per user to show up on the pos…is it by category, per product…that would be the issue of getting the right register to the correct user with only their products to sell from.

    If I get time to work around with this to find out for you I’ll definitely let you know for sure.

    Ok…I came across the solution for only allowing the custom details of my plugin to only show on my vendor profile pages and NOT on the shop page…I used these plugins:

    Needed to use a plugin add on to widget logic to be able to specify better. Thought i would share here in case there would be anyone else you come across wanting this resolved. Thanks.

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic-by-path/

    and placing: vendor/* in the widget logic text area. It works like a dream.

    I just now have to figure out my permission issues with uploading and saving only working on admin or front side. Will be happy to have pro version in place. 🙂 Thought I’d at least share my solution instead of always posting my problems. Thanks!

    When I’m done I’ll share a step by step work up of how I did everything for others that maybe interested in the coding and process I did up.

    I have a ticket open on the template forums so I’m hoping to get some answers from them with the issues above.

    I would like to know if there is a way to have the ‘custom shop details’ that I’m adding in to only show on the shop details page? Right now when I create a custom php widget it shows up on both the Store/Shop link and also the Vendor’s page. If that makes sense. I’ve tried using widget plugins to exclude it from showing up on my store/shop page but it ends up treating the store/shop link and the vendor profile page as the same type of page so it will delete it or add it to both pages. I hope that makes sense.

    Basically it’s reading http://www.mydomain.com/shop/ & http://www.mydomain/vendors/ as the same page. So on the shop page will pull up a random store profile page information which I don’t want. But works great on showing up on all the vendors sidebar pages. Is there a way I can specify even more so it will only show on the one?

    Even if I specify the exact link it will still either add or delete the widget form both.

    Hi There!

    Thanks! I agree! I can’t wait for Pro to come out! It’ll solve a lot of what I’m wanting for my site.

    Until then I’ll be Anxiously awaiting! 🙂

    Hi Ben!

    I just tried it again today and see that the code works front side but not on admin side.

    I’ve also had made that topic in regards to having that issue with the upload but opposite where it allows a vendor to upload images on the admin side but not front side…would this be a theme issue again?

    I’ll have to get a hold of the theme developers again and see if they can resolve it if that is the case. Otherwise user editing is going to get very confusing for my customers.

    Again appreciate the follow up with this. Hope you have a great 4th of July weekend!

    I did a few time without any edits. Straight copy and paste. Still no go. It doesnt save changes to the id field when i click save. I am saving it in my childs theme function file does that make a difference? I will test it to try after dinner.

    Thank you Ben! You’ve been awesome!!!

    I got all excited seeing the
    add_action( ‘wcvendors_shop_settings_saved’, ‘pv_save_merchant_id’ );
    add_action( ‘wcvendors_update_admin_user’, ‘pv_save_merchant_id’ );
    function pv_save_merchant_id( $user_id )

    But still no cigar…Coping and pasting exactly above and then try to do changes do not save with entered to the merchant ID area….

    I’m pulling out all my hair on this…and clearing cache a million times throughout this process. why is it not saving???

    I can NOT get the shop setting to save for the life of me. I’ve changed out the Save Action a million times and it either brakes the admin portion of my site or doesn’t work. The code that I use above does not save either without making any edits to it. I can get it to work with the Profile coding and change things out easily but can not figure out what the coding would be for the Shop Setting page.

    I also can’t find any documentation on it either other than this page: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/how-to-add-custom-field-on-vendor-shop-setting/ I’ve followed the changes that are on the forum here and still does not work. I’ve tried to understand what the code it’s placing and looking up dozens of these action codes to compare to see what needs to be edited for it to work and I simply can’t figure it out.

    Please I’m willing to pay someone to get me the correct action code so that I am able to save changes on my form page. It seems like a simple enough fix which is so frustrating to me.

    I can’t move forward with anything until I figure out what the correct action code is. I’m willing to pay at this point. What would it cost to simply get the correct action code to get this page to save the forms fields on the shop setting page? I’ve spent entirely too much time on this as it is. :/

    Is there more documentation on the saving PHP portion of the code. When I apply these I can get the form fields to show up on the Shop Setting Page but it will not save. What is wrong with the saving Coding?

    add_action(‘wcvendors_settings_after_paypal’, ‘pv_add_custom_merchant_id_field’);
    function pv_add_custom_merchant_id_field() {
    ?>
    ________________________________________________________________________

    add_action( ‘wc_product_vendor_shop_settings_saved’, ‘pv_save_merchant_id’ );
    add_action( ‘wc_product_vendor_update_admin_user’, ‘pv_save_merchant_id’ );
    function pv_save_merchant_id( $user_id )
    {

    The code that saves to the profile page works perfectly and saves…as I used below with the custom fields that I want. However I want the fields to show and save on the Shop Setting page not the Edit Profile Page. Please Let me know where I can find what the proper coding is for this to work on the Shop Setting’s Page. Thank you!

    add_action( ‘show_user_profile’, ‘my_show_extra_profile_fields’ );
    add_action( ‘edit_user_profile’, ‘my_show_extra_profile_fields’ );

    function my_show_extra_profile_fields( $user ) { ?>

    ________________________________________________________________________

    add_action( ‘personal_options_update’, ‘my_save_extra_profile_fields’ );
    add_action( ‘edit_user_profile_update’, ‘my_save_extra_profile_fields’ );

    function my_save_extra_profile_fields( $user_id ) {

    Btw…I knew something would be said about Joomla…lol. It’s a platform that has it’s pros and cons. However…I’m finding WP to have much simpler plugins and functions…and many more that are a lot more visually appealing and well designed.

    Example looking for a multi vendor there are some businesses that create them for several different CMS platforms and Joomla always look awful in comparison to WP or Magenta being the same software! To the point I didn’t know that it was created by the same company when checking out the demos. That says something right there. Well it spoke volumes to me…which is why I’ve converted for my last 2 sites to WP. Still feels awkward relearning how to do all the basics though. Lol I’ll get there. Just happy to find there is support where I need it!

    Thanks for all your time as always!

    yay! Got it to work! I had everything in the right place and your instructions were perfect…I simply was not clearing “CACHE” so I wasn’t seeing changes after saving changes to the files making me think I was doing something wrong. Thanks again for all your help. Now the fun part of getting custom fields in place!

    Ok…well I’ll see if the theme creators can help me out then. Hopefully they’ll be able to resolve it. Thanks Ben!

    Ok…so I’ve noticed that it’s only isolated to the frontend shop settings page. If logged in as a user and I go to the admin side of the site and to the shop settings page it allows me to upload images fine….any idea as to why it would work admin side and not front-end side?

    So I suppose I may have to redirect users to the back end for now as a resolve.

    Thanks!

    Ok I’m giving up on this for now. I have gone around in circles and still have not been able to solve this issue. I even tried to install the Member’s plugin which seems to solve this similar issue for others and still nothing for me.

    I’m leaning on it’s a plugin conflict and will have to take the time to deactivate each one to find out for sure.

    Hi Ben!
    Again thank you for your response! Always appreciated!

    Yes my account works again! Yay! 🙂

    If you couldn’t tell I’m such a WP newbie…so I’m on learning overload. I must confess I’m used to working with Joomla..so this is all new to me. I decided to go WP and WC Vendors because I find it to be the most advanced in looks, function and structure….over having to pay thousands of dollars out right. So I’m happy to learn even though it’s a bit of an adjustment.

    Well I had the idea right then. I think must have placed in the files wrong though being that it wasn’t reading from the copied files from my theme. Will try again here in a bit. Thanks again for your time!

    Kind Regards,

    Katie

    Hi quick question…

    on the directions of coping files over to the template theme…Do I then delete the ones that exist is WC Vendor…https://www.wcvendors.com/knowledgebase/changing-vendor-templates/

    The files that remain in wc seem to override the files in the theme files for when I make edits to the new copied files. Am I understanding this wrong.

    Am I editing the theme ones or the ones in VC Vendor I guess…which one does the site read?

    Thanks! Sorry if this is a silly questions…I’ve not had my morning coffee yet.

    Kind Regards,

    Katie
