MaceoParticipant
ok it is definitely the profile commission set to a fixed amount. i changed the vendor to a % and the free products purchased now reflect $0 commission but if i put it back to fixed amount, the free item will give a commission of the fixed amount regardless of the price of the product.
MaceoParticipantwell i do not have any other issues with any other products only the one vendor that happens to have a paid product and a free product but i will look around. I will try out the dev site but its not exactly using apples to apples since i created products from the backend as an admin rather than as a vendor.
i do have the fixed fee commission of $800 set in the vendor’s profile. I am trying to look through all this code but somewhere it is not checking against the $0 product price before applying the fixed commission of $800. which also leads me to believe that this issue would probably occur for any product amount less than $800 and have a fixed commission amount of $800 applied to the sale even though the product price was less.
MaceoParticipantAttached is an image from the Vendors Dashboard. When they pull up the order they see they got $800 dollars for it but the price is $0 for the product. There is a bug here, your assistance would be great!
MaceoParticipantHello, is there an ETA to a fix for this bug?
Thanks in advance.
MaceoParticipantok then can you add to your future feature list. this should be important for all marketplaces. why would the marketplace want to take the full hit for Stripe fees 🙂
Thanks for your time.
MaceoParticipantHence the bug??? lol
The product is marked as $0. So, again, this vendor has a paid item that he receives a fixed commission of $800. There is an order that was placed so we do owe him $800. This same vendor also has many free items that are all marked as $0 dollars but as you can see they still show $800 commission owed for each of those products.
So what do you need to see to “replicate”? Create a paid product and a free product for a vendor. The paid product has a fixed commission. Place a purchase for the paid product first then place a purchase for a free product.
MaceoParticipantI understand that it may be difficult to calculate fees out of commission before it is sent to Stripe but the commission can be calculated once the order is complete and shows on the report. Each WooCommerce order stores the stripe fee information so it should be possible for your commission report to reflect the net amount for commissions since commissions should be done after all transaction fees. See my image attached as to what I am referring to.
So is it possible to use the net amount as shown in the “Net Revenue From Stripe” field when clicking on the commission report?
MaceoParticipantThanks for your reply. I went ahead and modified /plugins/wc-vendors-pro/public/partials/product/wcvendors-pro-table-actions.php instead to remove the add product button so that vendors would still be able to see all of their products with the view all button. Does that pose a problem somewhere else that I am not seeing right away?
