Additionally, I don’t think this was happening with the 1.4.1, just wondering if I should downgrade Pro to that version. In which case, how can I get a copy of 1.4.1? I did send an email already with my payment receipt. ( [email protected]) Thank you!

Hi Anna, thank you, the payment is now going through via PayPal. The only thing it’s now doing is giving the admin all shipping, and sending product price to the vendor. I have the One Social marketplace theme (latest version)- I checked in my WC Vendors settings and the box for give shipping amount to vendor is checked. Anything else I need to sort? Thank you!

    Hi Ana,
I am posting this again as I am not sure if my earlier post went through. I am still not able to update the plugin from my WordPress dashboard and I see this message..
“Download permission for wc-vendors-pro has been revoked possibly due to a license key or subscription expiring. You can reactivate or purchase a license key from your account dashboard.”

The license key is active. Help? I am at version 1.3.7 of Pro. Thank you!

Thanks, Anna! The license key is now activated but I don’t see the updates for Pro plugin- I have version 1.3.7, and I see the latest version is 1.3.8. The updates used to show up on the plugin page whenever there was a new one but haven’t since I renewed the license. Does anything else need to be reset?

Okay, so that leaves me with the other plugins and theme :). I have written to BuddyBoss and will see what they say. Just one question- the commission is set to 100% in my marketplace- can that break anything? Thanks!

No, the settings seem to be fine (screenshot attached). If I can try to connect some dots (and I don’t know if I am drawing the right conclusions) – I got a repeated ‘BP user not initiated correctly’ error in my debug log which maybe becoz of the One Social theme? I wrote to them and they said I could ignore it but just wondering if that’s at all tied to this coupon not being attributed to the right store…

I actually did that using the User Switching plugin and no matter who (admin, vendor) creates the coupon – and they are all named appropriately and there is no duplication- the store name is the same as the coupon code. (screenshot attached)

@Ben, what if there are no duplicate coupons and the system assigns the coupon code as store/vendor name? My tech person went into the control panel and changed the coupon assignation to the right store/vendor id but in Woocommerce at the wp admin backend, it sill shows the coupon code as vendor/store name. For example if I create a coupon called test, it then says the store id the created the coupon is test and Paypal doesn’t go through. Any clues on what that’s due to? Thanks!

Hi Karen @Conscious-Crafties thank you for sharing that! I don’t have duplicate coupons as my vendors are only now starting to use coupons and we just have a few. I did notice that all coupons that are created now only show the coupon code as the Vendor Store and not the name of the store. So the code and store names are the same and then Paypal doesn’t know who to send the money to (at least that’s what I think is happening). Also wondering, as you are seeing this too, if its anything to do with One Social theme? I don’t know if that plays any part in this. Hoping to hear from @Ben or Jamie!

I have a coupons issue where the following is occurring – (please see screenshots)
When a vendor creates a coupon, the system is assigning the coupon code as the store name (screenshots 1 and 2) and when a buyer uses that coupon code, they get an “Invalid Transaction, please return to merchant” message when they transfer out of checkout and into Paypal.

I had an earlier coupon from May and that works fine and as you can see from screenshot 3, the coupon code is summer14 and the store name is assigned correctly. These transactions go through correctly.

How/where can I fix this? Any ideas as to why its not assigning/recognizing the store name correctly? As it then doesn’t recognize who to send the payment to, Paypal doesn’t go through.
I have the coupons set to process After and the commission is 100%. I tried creating a coupon as admin and have the same issue where it doesn’t recognize the user/store that it’s created by.
Please help as everyone wants to use coupons, and right away!

Sorry in advance for the long post!I am not sure if I am posting sensitive/private information, so I am marking it private.

The image upload errors continue and now I am down to just 13 plugins as I try to find the problem. I have Woocommerce, WCVendors +Pro, Buddypress, Buddypress reorder tabs, Stat plugin, User Switching, WP Bakery Visual composer, Rev Slider, Yoast + the Marketplace plugin with One Social theme. I have the Really simple SSL lite +pro and all links ate https://

I disabled Jetpack today and had one vendor that was suddenly and immediately able to upload. She’d been seeing a HTTP error on image upload. After turning Jetpack off, she’s now able to upload images. I now have Jetpack turned off.
I have now also disabled Wordfence and am waiting on other vendor to report- he is reporting the more garden variety of image upload error- Unable to upload file, please try again later. I read that jetpack and word fence may conflict because of some overlap and if that was causing the problem, well, they are both deactivated now.

Hosting has said all file permissions etc. look fine and there is no problem at their end. There is no common OS or browser to report. The vendors with the errors currently are all outside the US.
I have enabled the WP debug log and one section from a day ago shows the following- I have reported the One Social part to Buddyboss and they said they will have a fix in their next update.
Wondering about the WC Vendor part towards the end? It looks unrelated to the image upload issue but is it something I need to fix or am I missing something? Appreciate it if you could let me know.

    Hi Karen,
I’ve a different one that someone recommended to me before I turned my website into a marketplace- it’s called Clean Talk and I’ve had it for about a year. It works really well at catching comment and registration spam and of course, I am not sure if that is the culprit, but I did turn it off and so far so good! 🙂 Just realized I haven’t responded to your earlier email, will do so.- Priya

Hi Ben, I want to tentatively say that plugins that monitor spam may be a factor. I deactivated one such plugin yesterday and then had the vendor try uploading to his account plus a new test account. Both times he didn’t see any errors – he was able to immediately upload images without any issues and he’s been seeing the error for months now.
Thanks, will keep the thread updated!

Hi Ben, I actually had the Really Simple Ssl plugin, both the lite and Pro versions, and deactivated it today because the vendors were still seeing errors with the plugin active. I was trying to decrease the number of plugins but I can turn it back on. I guess that may mean that it’s not SSL-related? Thanks!

An update of the image upload errors- a few of my vendors continue to see this even though we’ve now made sure that only https:// is applied throughout the site (or whatever the tech way of saying that is). I have the latest WC Vendors 1.9 and Vendors Pro 1.3.1 as well as Buddyboss One Social theme’s latest version. I’ve pared down the number of plugins we use- Woocommerce, WC Vendors + Pro, Wordfence, User Switching, Jetpack, Buddypress, Stats Counter, Regenerate Thumbnails, WPBakery Visual Composer, Slider Revolution, Yoast and WP Smush.
I don’t see the error on the admin side and can’t replicate it. If you have any new pointers as to what else I can fix, I would greatly appreciate it!
    Thanks!

    Hi Karen @consciouscrafties,
My tech person manually changed every http:// link of my website in the database to https://
because even after adding the code in the .htaccess file, vendors were still seeing the image upload error. I also added a plugin Really Simple SSL Pro that is supposed to dynamically change every http to https if your website has mixed content (http and https). I am not sure if the plugin was helpful but changing the http manually seems to have helped and no-one has reported image upload error since (i don’t want to say it too loudly and jinx it 🙂 and I don’t know if they are resigned to it!)
My hosting service also recommend the plugin Velvet Blue though I didn’t try it.
    Good luck!

Hi Ben, as always, thank you for your prompt response! As i was taking the necessary screenshots to post here, the coupons that I’ve created and tried so far, cart %, product % are all mysteriously working. I did update the Marketplace plugin (Buddyboss) last night (and I think that makes it compatible with 1.3.1) and I am wondering if there was a problem before and now, it has gone away. I am going to try every different combination I can and see if I can replicate the error. I am not sure if it was a temporary Paypal glitch. I am attaching some screenshots with the basic settings, just so that if anything jumps out that I shouldn’t have it set that way, please let me know.
I also just want to add that I really appreciate the support here at WC Vendors – as I get firsthand experience of providing customer service at my marketplace :), I just want to say thank you for always taking the time to respond and in such an effective and prompt manner. Have a great weekend!

I am posting to this thread because I am seeing the Paypal error “This transaction is invalid. Please return to the recipient’s website and try again.” when a vendor uses any kind of coupon code (product or cart percentage or amount discount)
I have the Buddyboss One Social theme, their latest version of the Marketplace plugin, WC Vendor 1.8.9 and Pro 1.3.1
All my vendors are set at 100% commission because I bill them monthly. I have Paypal Adaptive set up.
The coupons calculate correctly and take the amount or percentage off correctly but when the buyer actually places the order and waits to be transferred to the Paypal page, they instead see the error code. Any pointers to what I should be looking to fix is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Priya

I have the One Social theme and have updated to 1.2.5 WC Vendors Pro and added the above fix for the country rate bug but on the one store that uses Country Rate on my website- if the country (2 letter code) has been specified, the shipping rates add correctly to the product. But for the ANY option, the shipping still comes up as free. I am wondering if this has anything to do with the theme which hasn’t been updated to WC Pro 1.2.5? Plus the shipping cache is turned off. Thanks!

    Hi Ben,
I have the One Social theme and WC Vendors Pro 1.2.4 -going to update to the latest pro version today but got distracted by the image upload error striking again. The .htacess redirect for https looks fine, WP general setting say https:// but 2 vendors got the error today. They found they had been logged out and went back and one of them was able to upload once they logged in again. My hosting just suggested to get a plugin that allows a user to stay logged in for longer times as a solution. I’d love to hear what you think. Thanks!

    Hi,
I have WC Pro 1.2.4 (I haven’t updated to the latest version) + the One Social theme from Buddyboss. One of my vendors switched from Flat rate to country-based shipping rates and we found the same issue as in the earlier post-
    Global Country rates
    GB – Any – 5
    US – Any – 10
    Any – Any – 15

Countries other than the listed ones (Any) show up as free shipping. Please help!

Hi Ben, Thank you for your suggestion yesterday. Two vendors that were having the problem both said they they logged in to their accounts, went to the dashboard to add products/ upload images and got the image upload error. When they went back to the My Account page, they were shown as logged out/asked to Login. That does seem to be the problem. How do I address it? Any advice is greatly appreciated and thank you for diagnosing it!

    Hi Ben,
I am also going to be switching themes to Buddyboss today but I guess that may not really have any impact on this issue. The vendor tried to upload images again and the log showed identical to the previous errors and nothing more. Please do let me know if anything else comes to mind that could be producing this error or if we can add any code to log errors elsewhere. Thank you!

Hi Ben, According to my tech person, the code you shared is how we generated the log and the lines are from the debug_log.The WP_Debug_Display was set to False however because otherwise it shows up on the site’s front page.
If they are Buddypress and widget errors, is the solution to deactivate Buddypress? Also, on a side note, I added Buddypress to my site only recently but these errors have been showing up prior to that. Thank you!

Hello! I have a related question about image uploads failing on the Frontend Pro dashboard. I have Woocommerce 2.5.2, WC Vendors 1.8.6 and Pro 1.2.2. Everything looks and works beautifully 🙂 except that one or two of my vendors are unable to upload image files using their frontend pro dashboard. I am able to upload it for them by using the User Switching plugin and via their dashboard (and via the backend too) but when they try to upload it, they receive an error (example screenshot attached). Is this due to some browser setting- they have tried in Chrome, Safari and IE and encountered the same problem. Any ideas on where I should look to solve this issue? Thank you for your help!

    Hi Nino,
I think it was part of my theme’s settings- if ‘Show Related posts’ are active for the theme/blog settings, the word shows up. I deactivated it within the Appearance/ Theme settings and also anywhere else ( I think there is a WP setting too) there is a setting to show Related posts and once I did that, it went away. I moved my entire site to http://www.wcvendors.com, no internet connectivity. At that time, v1.1.0 was active and functional and I was able to look at the shop settings as a vendor. I got v1.1.2, deactivated 1.1.0 and activated 1.1.2 and get the message that the plugin is not active (screenshot attached). I guess it reverts back to WC Vendors Free and I don’t see the front end of the vendor stores anymore.
