    @fervous interesting…. i seem to have an issue with my emails inconsistently firing.. even some vendors said they never received activation emails, and some did.. when i test through the wc test gateway i got a notification of order instantly.. when a vendor received their order through stripe checkout.. which i bought from you guys, they dont receive an email… where to go from here? i guess i can try that smtp plugin

    @fervous @ben

    I hate to revive a dead thread, but i didnt want to open another topic.. im just curious, today a vendor made a sale, i received notification of new customer order but the vendor didnt get anything.. it is enabled in woocommerce> vendor notify ( i found this searching the threads ) is there something else im missing?

    and this question is probably dumb, but im going to ask anyway.. since im giving my users the option of using either stripe or paypal, when a user checks out with stripe i get the funds in my stripe account.. so stripe charges their 2.9% fee.. then i have to send it to the vendors paypal.. does the sale get hit twice with fees one from stripe one from paypal?

    p.s im late and missed taco tuesday, but i had some tonight jajaja

    @ben on a serious note.. as of this morning, my vendors cant upload images in their shops or in product listings.. i wanted to say its my ssl.. but ive been reading all day trying things including really simple ssl and deactivatng everything except for wcvendors and pro.. and same thing… the upload fails and the user is logged out of the site. I could use a hand, ive even been on with tech support on the server backend..

    @fervous ive had dreams about bens replies to my threads.. it took me a week to muster the guts to post this one…

    anyway…… They cant post products, that piece works.. just seems a little pointless to require account activation if they can navigate the site anyway.. shouldnt it be required they visit their email first to make sure they arent just throwing emails in there to do malicious things in their account?

    If i shutoff the vendor apply checkbox that should lock them out from the site until they activate correct?

    just seems like a safety concern

    just chiming in your not alone, my reg process is messed up too like this although my vendors get placed in pending vendor and pending tab.. somethings up with registrations, resetting roles doesnt help

    if only there was a way to have the system check what payment processor the vendor used and it would auto send those funds to the vendors gateway regardless of the customers checkout method..

    i think in a situation where i dont have the team to monitor commissions and discuss transferring funds to each vendor it would be best to require both.. although itd be nice to have the code to require one or another… let me know what you find thanks

    in reply to: Payment Gateways #59775

    oh i see.. so basically i can use code to require stripe before listing, or use the code you provided to require paypal and stripe.. is there code to require at least 1 or the other ( let me rephrase, to prevent listing unless atleast 1 payment option is listed in vendor account, not force one or another)? I guess im a little confused.. maybe this is a bad example and im relying on ben to tell me everything wrong with this post.. but say i require stripe, and paypal is only another option for vendors.. and a customer comes through and wants to pay will their paypal account, not a credit card.. but that vendor hasnt added a paypal email.. the customer will still see the paypal checkout option? or is that only generated when the vendor enters a valid paypal email in their shop dash..

    yes you answered it thanks, I take it you’ve had an issue with paypal? Anything in particular?

    savage answer.. i like it.. if you had chat i wouldnt have to waste my time making wasteful posts.. id make wasteful chat conversations.

    here ill make it about wcvendors……… what code can i add to the “prevent listing if no stripe account is connected” code in order to require both paypal and stripe… yes i saw it in another post, but it was tailored to that users site..

    somethings wrong here… this is what it looks like on the variations tab of my live site.. then you click that arrow and it shows this pop up list of things and when you pick one it asks for a script value…

    im running that plugin on my live site without issues.. i believe theres a shortcode to be placed where you want the stats to show up… this isnt a major function so it cant do much damage to your site.. test it, if it messes up your live site login to your ftp and delete the plugin

    @fervous

    i searched the forums and the only other people talking about it are having the same issue as me, im guessing this auction feature isnt popular with users of the vendor plugin? I hope you can help, as this is the reason i bought these plugins for the auction integration

    i guess i am that dumb.. i didnt notice there was a tab on the right to go to the next section of pages -___-

    can close this if you want

    @fervous

    i thought i replied, but this is 50% working..

    setting the page to -none- under buddypress settings works, for users that utilize the register button from homepage, but for users that click “login” button from homepage that are in search of a register hyperlink it takes them to the attached screen, where the hyperlink on the bottom to “register” does nothing but bring them to a blank theme page that just has a header that reads “register”

    to me it looks like i have 2 different pages being fed for register and login.. the setup of them both look different.. how can i resolve this?

    also – the vendor redirect to dashboard after login does nothing but log the user in and return to the homepage
    i directly copied the code from the knowledge base and pasted in area on functions.php

    Im not that dumb lol Im trying to change where it says wc vendors pro dashboard.. once a registered member clicks dashboard and it takes them to their add product page.. i already looked in my pages list before asking.. there isnt a page in there with that title.. i believe this would require a template edit? correct me if im wrong

    i actually went under dash> settings> buddy press and set the page to none and now it looks normal with checkbox to apply for vendor… when i set it to register page or my account they both look the same… weird

    well that would be great.. and perhaps a brief tutorial on how to make those changes? Im really new to CSS.. im honestly trying my best to learn on w3schools… im also scared to break my site since im close to being done editing it lol If you can give me some insight on how to change it, and also the option of directing to the wc vendors page as an option ( so i know ) id really appreciate it..

    is it possible to add more fields to the registration form so i can get a better feel for the people trying to sell on my site? like to ask what products they sell? or link their outside website etc.

    thank you

    yes this is the marketplace, ill open a ticket with them, but first ill take a crack at your suggestion. I was also curious since my site is pretty much good to roll if youd still be willing to assist with the CSS tweak to make the sloppy auction font look better? When viewing an auction it doesnt look correct to me.. kind of smashed and weird as you had mentioned a few weeks back

    Im an IT guy, not a web developer so I honestly don’t know what is necessary for plugins.. im really only running wc pro, woo, marketplace and w3 cache.. but i can see the temptation in installing 900 when i dont know what im doing and the plugins make it look so easy lol
