hey, just checking in for any updates on v1.4 – any testing required, or new beta / charlie / delta versions available ?

You say this is happening on all Stripe orders? – not all transactions, only selective, and extra charge changes which is why it’s confusing
Have you tested Stripe transactions with only wordpress, woocommerce, wcvendors and our stripe gateway active? – WC stripe gateway is the only payment method on the site
What was in the order(s)? Any similarities? – products and vendors change
Who was the vendor? Or did this error occur with more than one vendor? – it doesn’t look like it has happened yet with mixed vendor Orders, i can only see it on orders when from one vendor
What was the product(s)? Does this occur with different products or the same product? – occurs with different products and different vendors
what was the commission rate? – commission is set as 85% for all (e.g. 15% to admin)
Is there anything unique about the order(s) for which this happens? – not that i can see, hence my confusion in me trying to solve it and none of the service providers being able to track it, WooComm, Stripe support etc
Have you done any other updates other than WP, WC, WC Vendors & WC Vendors Pro? – these main updates, and general plugin updates

    Thanks
    Joe

    Hi @Marc.Bovet

I have seen your code above. Do you have it available for ALL vendors, and not just limited to ONE vendor in the cart?

I would like to be able to use this, but allow customers to shop from any vendors at the same time.

Any help with this is very appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Hi @digitLchild

thanks. It’s encouraging to know that it works on your side, so There should be a way to fix on ours.

Firstly I assume my setup is correct, because v1.39 works fine now. But when I went to v1.4 not a single Shipping feature was functional. None of the Vendor store defaults, or the Vendor product level shipping costs. And none of the max shipping, Free over xx etc. They seemed to be saving, and entries were populated with shipping values- but they weren’t being used on the front end.

On the front end all that happened is that the shipping prices just reverted to showing the WooComm Admin defaults (for national or international.) Also the “charge once per product” wasn’t even working from the Admin defaults. So 5 x quantity of the exact same product in Cart showed a 5 x shipping cost.

So as @Nofski and @Fervous also said, v1.4 appeared to have zero functionality. We each tested on diffeeent staging sites, and tried removing plugins, swapping to standard Themes etc. But v1.4 seemed to just add the entries for the new features, but wasn’t functioning.

If there’s any debug plugins that I can use to show you some errors, or screen grabs please let me know. And this might let me provide some actual code conflict details that is rendering the v1.4 non-functional.

I can even provide temp Admin logins if you want to have a quick look to find the issue, as I really need to get this up and running asap.

    Cheers

is this a WC in-joke? 😀 have we been sent a false beta with the dashboard entries but no functionality ?

in reply to: 1.4 Update Notification #54895

Hi, I’ve just been playing with the Beta v1.4 … and been told to report any bugs / issues here:

In a nutshell the ONLY Shipping Prices being shown are the Defaults as set in wp-admin/woocommerce/Settings/Vendor Shipping, where it says =

“This shipping module is for your vendors to input their own shipping prices on their Pro Dashboard.

The prices you enter below for Product Cost will only be used if a vendor has not entered their own prices on their Pro Vendor Dashboard.”

This is not happening, as I’m testing with adding Products to cart, all of which have different Shipping costs set at Vendor Store Level and at Product Level. All costs being ignored… only wp-Admin defaults are being shown.

Additionally whilst it is only showing the default wp-admin fees (for National and International), all other features below are not working:
    – Product qty override
    – Minimum shipping charged (per vendor)
    – Maximum shipping charged (per vendor)
    – Maximum product shipping
    – Free shipping order (per vendor)
    – Free shipping product (per product)

I’m testing on a staging site, and removed all sided plugins to test.

Whoever this is relevant to for beta testing, please feel free to get in touch.

    Cheers

Please send the zip to [email protected] and i’ll give it a whirl !

    Hi @Anna

I have seen that Ben is now hiring for a developer, which I can only think is to help ease some of the workload with regards to the ongoing updates, and particularly the all illusive Version 1.4 ! 😉

I wanted to mention that I would be happy to significantly contribute towards the completion of this Shipping Module if there’s opportunity to help pay towards it. Or even a “WC crowdfunding campaign” from WC users to complete the update!

While in the process of WC hiring a full time dev, this could provide budget for some freelance temp devs to assist Ben and Jamie, probably already working tirelessly on it, to do some of the leg work to help them finish.

I remember last year that it was originally going to be done before Xmas, and now there is no due date. I reckon this means that the v1.4 beta testing is throwing up a lot more core work to be done… hence the offer/idea to fund some temp dev hands.

Please feel free to list a ‘Product’ on the WC Plugins page entitled “Contribution $$$ to help get v1.4 done for Valentines Day” – and I’ll happily purchase 🙂

    Much love and best wishes
    Joe

    * I get daily emails from Customers who “can’t purchase because the shipping costs are being duplicated”, so just eager to resolve this once and for all so my new marketplace can properly start.

So excited for v1.4. It is literally going to be the final jigsaw of the marketplace puzzle !

I know everyone’s asking, but is there any realistic expectation… like early Feb, end of Feb, end of March, June ?

Some of my vendors are asking about shipping options, and being able to give them a time frame would be nice.

    Cheers!

further to the above is there a mailing list or some way to be notified of the Pro v1.4 release, to save having to keep re-checking on here?

Thanks @Anna I added your code to my child theme but have not seen the Notes box appear under my Add to Cart.

I have flushed Cache and Cloudflare in case that was causing it, but still can’t see the notes box.

Is there anything else that needs to be changed for it to work?

in reply to: Duplicate shipping costs on Vendor Shipping #49378

    Hi Anna,

yes Packages was adding a double shipping cost, and WooCart was adding a triple cost. Both are now disabled. But this leaves 2 areas that I would like to resolve:

1 – Packages plugin separated the Shipping costs ‘by Vendor’ which meant that customers could see that vendors were shipping separately, and each shipping cost paid to each vendor was separate. (otherwise it appears as 1 large cost which can deter customer checkout if they don’t realise that this is multiple shipping total, as shipped by individual vendors, not fulfilled by the marketplace.)

2 – the Vendor Shipping allows option to “charge once regardless of how many ordered” – but this is only ‘by product’ not ‘by vendor’. This means that if a customer orders 2 of the exact same product then only 1 shipping charge, but if they order 2 different products (which might be the same product (by shape and weight) except a different attribute- e.g. style, color, flavour, etc) – then they are charged 2 shipping costs. I would like to be able to offer one shipping cost per vendor, charging the cost for largest item. (Basically how WooCom Shipping Classes works, but for a multi-vendor marketplace setup I need to use Vendor Shipping- to allow for each vendors specific costs and requirements).

3 * (thanks for pointing out the Vendor Dash issue in my WP Report, I have seen this previously but not been able to work out what it wants me to do. I have set my Pro Dashboard as slug /dashboard/ and that’s the page where the [wcv_vendor_dashboard] sits. The non-Pro Dashboard is set as slug /vendor_dashboard/ and is not used, and has no way to access the page. Please advise how I can fix the issue to satisfy the WP report?)

I look forward to hearing on the above. The first 2 issues are something I would like to resolve asap, as they are affecting Shipping costs and the Cart packages display- which both result in reduced Conversion rates, Cart drop-off, and poor UX.

    Many thanks
    Joe

    Hi,

I’ve now just found another issue attached to this, triple shipping is being added when the ‘Calculate shipping’ button is used!

shipping 1 – £2.50 (initally shows as double, then with ‘Calculate shipping’ shows triple £7.50!)
shipping 2 – £2.99 (initally shows as double, then with ‘Calculate shipping’ shows triple £8.97!)

Vendor Shipping in admin dash is set to default 0, but the shipping costs above are the Vendors own defaults they have set in their store. Both admin and vendor defaults have selected ‘charge only once even if more than one product is added’.

Please let me know where I can fix this, and what would be causing the Cart to do this??

    Thanks
    Joe

in reply to: Variations Error After "Save Changes" on Attributes #46986
    Joe
    Participant

    Hi team, and OP Joey

I am facing the same errors with Attributes and Variations. It doesn’t work, and there’s no functionality to add change or save down product variations…

*I read somewhere on the forum about how to suppress warnings in wp-config.php file, so now at least I don’t get the warning “urlencode() expects parameter 1…”.

I’d rather continue the post on this thread than start a fresh one, seeing as though it went unanswered.

Please see my Status Report below (I’ve tried removing all plugins, except Woo and WCVendors).

I’ve also added some screenshots, with top: where the admin/owner is able to create Variations… but below: how the vendor login looks, without anyway to create variations despite the “Used for Variations” checkbox being checked in the Attributes tab.

I hope someone can reply to this thread, for myself, OP, and any others who may be experiencing this…

    Thanks Anna!

Removing the parent My Account for both dashboards has worked!

I will contact Handy about the outdated template, although they have been pretty good recently with regular-ish updates.

in reply to: Paypal app setup. Chained payment or not? #41711

    Hi Ben, Jamie

following on from this post from last year I’m just getting my Paypal application approved, and got the reply pasted below.

Reading the knowledge base I know you don’t support Chained payments (and it’s not ideal with chargebacks etc)- but the guide screenshots still has the Chained Payments checked ? With wcvendors as primary, and vendors secondary -> https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/configuring-paypal-adaptive-payments/

Please see my attached for how the current screen looks… and Basic Payment has ‘Checkout, Send Money’ and ‘Parallel payments’ deprecated.

Please confirm what the Services Used By App should be, and i’ll amend or confirm with Paypal below.

    Cheers,

    Joe

(ps- I’m going to use Adaptive Payments Scheduling as Daily… that way the cutomer gets to see just 1 payment to the marketplace, rather than seeing the commission split and 2 merchant receivers of the payment. Hope that makes sense)

    PAYPAL:
“Thank you for contacting PayPal’s Application Review Team. Would you mind confirming if the seller will be the Primary recipient in the Chained payment flow? In a typical online marketplace, sellers or service providers are the primary receiver as they receive the majority of the customer’s payment and are usually responsible for order fulfillment. As the merchant of record, the primary receiver is liable for issuing refunds as needed and resolving any chargebacks. As the secondary receiver and platform owner, you would receive any fees or commissions charged to the customer. In order to update your app submission, please amend your selections in the ‘Services Used by App’ – ‘Adaptive Payments ‘ – ‘Chained Payments’ area of the submission form and indicate who will be the primary and secondary receiver(s).

good shout jonathan. I’m setting my site up as http to test, then was going to switch to https when it’s live etc … are you advising to turn on my ssl to go https, then install wc vendors and all the payment gateway plugins fresh on the https for it all to work?

I’m actually currently having trouble with both paypalap and the stripe Test Mode, maybe it could be something to do with being http and not https:

-my Stripe Test Mode payment is going through and i see the test purchase, but showing a 404 page rather than the ‘order-received’ page on confirmation… trying to work out where to fix this

-the Paypal issue I think is at Paypals side, because the Adaptive test API ‘APP-80W284485P519543T’ isn’t working in my Sandbox. It shows the Commission split on payment page, then fails when proceeding with Confirm payment … screenshots attached*

(*the test —@gmail recipient IS registered, but the Test Mode says it’s not)

/// don’t mean to jack the post. I haven’t properly troubleshoot yet or read the Knowledge Base, but I saw above that http/s might be affecting it
