    Hi Ben,
I noticed that both pages Pro Dashboard and Vendro Dashboard have the same shortcode. Please see below.

    Pro Dashboard : [wcv_pro_dashboard]
    Vendor Dashboard: [wcv_pro_dashboard]

Is it the way it is supposed to be or is there is anything wrong with my settings?

Please keep in mind that these pages were created automatically.

    Thanks,
    Jay

While the pages are created automatically, either a space alien, or you (probably you) changed the shortcode to the Vendor Dashboard to the wrong shortcode. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Look in your WC Vendors at the Pages & Pro tab. It tells you the shortcode name for each of the pages. Your Pro page is set correctly, your Free Vendor Dashboard page is not.

That’s interesting. It would be WordPress that is giving that error. What’s in your error_log file?

    Hi Ben,

I was with my host on the phone for about one hour.

Here is the error I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wc_print_notices() in /home3/cking/public_html/ckingbuynsell/wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors/templates/dashboard/denied.php on line 3

Please keep in mind that I have the problem with this shortcode [wcv_vendor_dashboard] only.

If you replace it with another WC Vendors shortcode or just remove the code and try to update it, it is ok and there is no error message.

I deactivated and reactivated again but it didn’t help.

    Please help.

    Thanks,
    Jay

wc_print_notices is a WooCommerce function. Should fire all the time no matter what. If it’s not working, what version of WooCommerce are you using?

You can edit /wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors/templates/dashboard/denied.php and delete lines #1-4 and then copy that file to /wp-content/themes/yourtheme-child/wc-vendors/dashboard/denied.php and that will fix it immediately.

    Hi Ben,

    Thank you! It works now.

So, I left the original denied.php in /wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors/templates/dashboard/denied.php untouched.

I just copied the file into /wp-content/themes/theme-child/wc-vendors/dashboard/denied.php and removed lines 1-4.

So, the original file (/wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors/templates/dashboard/denied.php) is still there. I assume I don’t need to remove the lines 1-4 of denied.php in this folder.

Also, I noticed that the path you gave ( /wp-content/themes/yourtheme-child/wc-vendors/dashboard/denied.php ) there is no “templates” folder under we-vendors. Is it the way it is supposed to be?

I am using the latest Woocommerce version (Version 2.5.2 ).

    Thanks,
    Jay

    Hi Jay,

You did everything perfectly. ๐Ÿ™‚ If the template exists in your theme folder, WC Vendors uses that, instead of the default templates in /wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors/templates/. And yes, you do not make a /templates/ directory in your theme folder, just /themes/yourtheme/wc-vendors/dir/filename.php.

The fact that you get an error there is VERY WEIRD. That should NOT be erroring out, because it’s a WooCommerce function. Is it a big problem? No, not really, but that function should be called from anywhere. I almost wonder if another WooCommerce plugin somewhere is screwing that up for you. Either way, your fix is there, it works, but still the underlying cause of what’s wrong with your site remains for that function not to be called properly.

    Cheers

    Hi Ben,

I am now getting the following issue.

When I login as a vendor and click on Pro Dashboard, I can see the tabs for shipping, etc.:
    Dashboard
    Products
    Orders
    Settings
    Ratings
    Coupons
    View Store

but when I click on any of these, I get the following error:

“Not Found Home ยป Error 404
Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.
It looks like this was the result of either:
    a mistyped address
    an out-of-date link

Do you have any idea why I get this?

I checked the shortcode in Pro Dashboard page and it seems to be the right one [wcv_pro_dashboard]

    Thank you,
    Jay

    Thank you, Ben!

    It works well now.

I had read this thing about Permalink before but it didn’t come to my mind when I had the problem -:(!

    Cheers,
    Jay
