    Hi,

Is there any way a vendor’s storefront only list his own products instead of both his and the ones from main site?

    Like my test vendor account:

    http://wuyizhuang.com/vendors/wxia0822/

Some of them are from website admin, some of them from test user wxia0822.

    Thanks.

You’ve got your shop page display setting configured wrong.

    wp-admin > woocommerce > settings > products > display > Shop Page > [X] Products Only

Thanks Ben. This way it works.

Unfortunately, I cannot do this since the nature of one of my major service. It will be a same-city visiting servive which needs to keep a hierarchy based on geo locations, eg, canada, ontario, toronto…If I make this change, then the whole structure is flat and it will not be very convinient for our potential customers.

So, ideally there is some where we can do something on the vendors’ site only in terms of product display.

In Pro, can we make this happen?

The page you are trying to get work is the Shop page which you do not have set, we simply “hook” into that page in WC Vendors Free.

The only thing you could do is to upgrade to WC Vendors Pro, which does not rely on the “Shop” page being set for your site since we use our own custom post type for Vendor Stores.

Ben, I just bought the software.

Please instruct me to display vendors’ own product on the vendors’ own storefront. Ideally, there is somewhere I can set up “category and subcat”/”products only”/”both” for the venders’ storefront just like what we can do for regular WooCommerce products.

Feel free to move this ticket to Pro forum. Don’t want to open a new one since this one has been created.

Another thing is: I logged in as a test vendor and it works fine for me for the most part. But at the front end dashboard, 3 menus under “Settings” don’t work for me: Payment, branding, social – They need plugins?

    Thanks.

Hi @wxia0822 — wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks click Save. That’ll fix the dashboard menu links not working.

Once you do that, the vendor stores will work, too.

    Ben,

About the links: it relates to the theme I am using – Divi. I switched to default twenty fourteen and they all work fine. I will talk to Divi to fix the problem. Of course, if you or someone else from WCV can help, I will be happy.

These links are strange enough since if I right mouse click any one of them and go “open the link in a new tab”, they all work fine as tabs. And it is not browser related (doesn’t work for both Firefox and Chrome).

But the issue with the vendor storefront display still exists, I will leave this ticket for now and read through all the docs first. If by that time, I still cannot fix the “only show each vendors’ products (no cat, no subcat)” issue, i will be back.

    Thanks for help.

I’m not sure it’s a Divi theme issue. We have Divi on our development server for testing, and it tests and looks great. Here’s the display from a /vendor_stores/storename on our test site attached at the bottom of this post.

Most likely it’s a configuration setting on your end, or a theme setting there.

    Ben,

When mentioning Divi, I was talking about: when I login as vendor/dashboard/settings, it opens “store” tab by default, it looks all right. If I click other tabs like “payment”/”branding”/”social”, it brings me to nowhere. And right mouse click them and “open a new tab”, it works.

See the attachment about where I get the problem.

Can you duplicate this issue in Divi?

Thanks. I just tested this with Divi and can confirm that the Payment, Branding and Social links do not work as intended. It looks like Divi is overriding anchor tags for some weird reason. I’m not sure why a theme would even want to do that. I’ve created a bug report so Jamie can have this fixed for next release.

Thanks Ben. I will wait for next release for the “links” problem.

Only one thing left, the vendor store front display “products only” while the WC settings keep “cat and subcat”.

You can leave the ticket as it is for now. I am reading the doc and if I still can not figure it out after that, I will be back.

    Hello,

I’ve had a chance to investigate this and for some reason, Divi is overriding all anchor tags on the front end which means anything that isn’t a woocommerce tab won’t work, including ours. This is HARD CODED into the theme. I have no idea why a theme would want to do that, however this isn’t something we can fix.

The offending lines of code are Lines 643 – 660 of the custom.js function in their javascript folder. I would recommend going back to divi and asking why? they are doing that.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

Thanks @ben and @jamie for the good work.

I will bring the problem to Divi to fix it. If they don’t, then I will switch to some other theme.

I experienced some performance issue on my website days ago (page load speed could be 40-70 seconds) and had to restore to Oct 02 version. All seems fine now and I have found the culprit. I have to install WC Vendors from scratch again because of this.

So I may be silent for several days 🙂
