    Hi,

I am very new to this plugin. I did have woocommerce Product vendors plugin installed but wanted more choices with regards to payment timings etc as the website is growing quickly. I have a couple of questions:

    1. what is the easiest way to transfer over all my vendors?
    2. How do I add an apply to become a vendor page and form onto my website?

    website is http://www.boughtwiththought.co.uk

    Thank you!

    Thanks!

I logged into your site……. So, now to answer your questions:

1.) It looks like you already have WC Vendors activated, Woo’s plugin deactivated, and all of your users have the Vendor role and all of your products are assigned to Vendors. It doesn’t look like you need to actually do anything. The site looks good, products look good, vendor accounts look good, and the site is functional. Whatever you have already done is perfect. There’s nothing else you need to do that I can see!

2.) There’s two ways for new sellers to become Vendors. The first is by registering for an account (/my-account) you will see a checkbox to apply to become a vendor. When they register for an account, you will get an email that a new vendor application has been received. You can approve, deny, or ignore each request as you see fit. You would customize the WooCommerce / Settings / Emails / Vendor Application email template to modify the emails contents to the vendor. The second way is by visiting the vendor dashboard (yourdomain.com/vendor_dashboard/) — If they already have an account, they will check the box and submit to apply, and if they don’t, it will redirect them to the /my-account/ page where they can do the same.

Let me know if I can be of any more help! Very pretty site, very well laid out, and well designed.

    Hi Ben,

Following on from our recent discussion regarding setting up the WC vendors plugin – I have now set this up and all is working well, however, the function to edit products does not seem to work for individual sellers – is this correct or should they be able to edit products that are live on the site?

    Thanks again for your help,

    Gabrielle

    Hi Gabrielle,

If you allow the vendors to edit products, then they can edit products, yes. This is one of the settings under WooCommerce -> WC Vendors -> Capabilities

This is what I thought, however, I have clicked to allow vendors to edit products but it is not allowing them to do so. Is there a bug/java conflict somewhere in my site? How would I find out about this? Login is the same if you would like to take a look.

The login you gave is for an admin, not a vendor….. Would need a vendor login.
