    Hi Again Ben,

Since i got so good help with my last issue Im gonna go ahead and ask about another thing I was thinking on. As the title says, is it possible to have new users automatically become vendors?

    wp-admin / WooCommerce / WC Vendors / General:

    Uncheck “Approve vendor applications manually”

Amazing what is in the plugins settings isnt it? 🙂 🙂

Ok im stupid. I had it unchecked, but havent tried a new user since i did that. It was on my todo-list, and didn’t realized it was already fixed. My bad! And the quantity pointers you gave me worked perfect!

Five start rating is given! And.. Im not a complete idiot after all! Still having problems with this. I can upload a product after registration, bit if i try to access the Vendor dashboard, I get this:

Your account is not setup as a vendor yet. If you would like to register, please complete this page!

Can i skip that step and also have that automated?

    Hi Jerry!

    Thanks for the stars!

Show me a screenshot of wp-admin / WooCommerce / WC Vendors / General if you can, that will help me check if you have the settings correct. If they are correct, a vendor should be automatically approved and can begin to list products on your website.

If by chance you are trying to be a vendor with your ADMIN account — that will NEVER work because Admins are Administrators, not Vendors. If we allowed Administrators to be Vendors your entire site would break because of permissions with WordPress. So make sure that this isnt the problem, if you need to list items yourself as your own vendor, create a new account for that. 🙂

How do vendors find the link to list products without having access to the vendor dashboard? Are you just testing and going to wp-admin?

Shoot me the URL for your site, with an admin account, and I’ll hop on and see what’s going on. You can reply to this thread with the details, just click “set as private reply”.

Im testing it trough the link to post new products, basically. I put that one in the menu, under “annons” You can log in at streetmarket.streetstylizm.com with user Jerry pass Dupont1.

Im about to integrate the vendors into another profile plugin, so dont get too alarmed if you end up on a profile that isn’t connected to your plugin 😀

    Thanks again!

Oh I think im being unclear.. I want to skip that step, that someone needs to click the apply to become vendor. Im am/will be handling the registrations trough http://streetmarket.streetstylizm.com/profile/login/, and it doesnt have the checkbutton for vendors. So when a user is setup, they can create products at the spot. Then if they would access the dashboard trough a given link, they get to the apply for vendors thing.

All you have to do to make a user a vendor, is give them the role “Vendor”. Find a way to make new users have a role of Vendor, and you’ll be good to go!

    WordPress calls new users Subscribers
    WooCommerce calls new users Customers
WC Vendors calls new vendor applicants Pending Vendors, and approved applicants Vendors

So find a way to make the default role for new users “Vendor” and all users will be vendors.

Of course. Here I am being stupid again. The plugin Im using had the option to set userroles.. Doh. Thanks a lot for the help!

Hi, I am having an issue with this too. I have it setup so that all new users are Vendors by default but when a user registers they don’t input their paypal email address so they cannot access the WordPress backend to add a product. I don’t see anywhere for them to add their paypal email address which means I still have to do it manually. I would like all new users to be Vendors by default and have access to the WordPress backend by default. How can I accomplish this? Thanks
