    Hello,

I am interested in Stripe Connect, but before purchasing, I have a few questions:

    – Do I have to use WC Vendors in order to use Stripe Connect, or will it work standalone? We have a website selling with Woocommerce, and we allow vendors to create products. We also want vendors to authorize their stripe accounts as part of the registration process, and for commissions to automatically be paid to them based on the sale of their products.

    – Can I insert the Connect to Stripe button in other places on the site? We have a vendor registration page, and would like to include this button on that page.

    – Is there a free version that I can try out? Or a demo?

    Thank you,
    Nile

    Hi Nile,

    – Do I have to use WC Vendors in order to use Stripe Connect, or will it work standalone? We have a website selling with Woocommerce, and we allow vendors to create products. We also want vendors to authorize their stripe accounts as part of the registration process, and for commissions to automatically be paid to them based on the sale of their products. Our Stripe Commissions & Gateway plugin is intended for use with only WC Vendors Free or WC Vendors Pro. It will actually work by itself, without WC Vendors, though there’s no real reason to use it, as there’s free Stripe gateways that will do the same thing. WooThemes recently made their Stripe gateway free, I’d recommend that if you’re not using WC Vendors. If you want to pay your vendors with Stripe, though, ours is not only the best, it’s the only. πŸ™‚

    – Can I insert the Connect to Stripe button in other places on the site? We have a vendor registration page, and would like to include this button on that page. Yes, but not in this fashion. It wont let the vendor connect to Stripe during registration since registration takes them to stripe’s website, and then returns them to yours once completed. It would screw up your vendor registration page and make vendors have to start over again. You can hook into other parts of the Free or Pro Dashboard and show the button any where else you like though!

    – Is there a free version that I can try out? Or a demo? – Nope! Never really considered a Stripe demo. It’s literally nothing more to see than a button vendors click connect, and then the checkout page that shows a credit card form on your site. It’s about as exciting as watching grass grow. πŸ™‚

Nile: We already have the create product feature for the vendors set up, so adding the WC Vendors plugin seems like it would add unnecessary complication and require us to go back into development. We want to have the Stripe Connect feature, initially to connect vendor accounts with Stripe so we can do manual payout of commissions through Stripe, and later so we can do automated payouts of commissions (or, if it’s simple, we would go straight to automatic payout now).

As we already have the capability for vendors to create products, if we add your Stripe Connect plugin, can we 1) have it authorize vendors to connect their Stripe accounts and record their stripe id, or 2) also pay out commissions automatically.

If your willing to have a phone conversation about this, or a Google Hangout, it might be easier to discuss. I’d be happy to give you a brief walkthrough of what we have already developed and demonstrate what we are trying to add.

    Thank you!

With our Stripe plugin, and only ours, your vendors would go to their Vendor Dashboard, and click “Connect to Stripe”. Once the vendor enters their stripe account info, or their bank info for their new stripe account, the vendors then get their commissions paid instantly, at the time the customer purchases the product. You (admin) gets your % to your account. Easy as that! πŸ™‚

If the vendor has not connected to Stripe, admin gets 100% and you (admin) pays the vendor manually later any way you (admin) sees fit.

Google Hangout? People still use that? πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Is this true when your Stripe Connect plugin is used standalone, without WC Vendors?

No, of course it wont work without WC Vendors. πŸ™‚ There’d be zero reason to use our Stripe plugin without WC Vendors. It would be a waste of money and a waste of the extra code running.

Now I’m really confused. In response to my first message, you said, “Our Stripe Commissions & Gateway plugin is intended for use with only WC Vendors Free or WC Vendors Pro. It will actually work by itself, without WC Vendors,” but now your saying “No, of course it wont work without WC Vendors.”

Fine, if you want to pay us $49 for a plugin you don’t need — GO for it! We’ll happily take your money. But if you arent using WC Vendors, you’d have to be on crack or meth in order to feel the need to use ours. It’s not needed, you’re wasting your money, AND we have a no refunds policy, so feel free to shovel over your cash to us if you want something that is unnecessary for you. πŸ™‚

Hi! Quick and straight question: We are the only two business owners (we don’t need the multi vendor plugin) of the same business and website. We split everything 50-50. Will this plugin (We want Stripe, we dislike PayPal) allow our Woo Commerce website and split any amount of money paid from any purchased product on it and then transfer 50% of that amount to her bank account and 50% to my bank account via Stripe? I’m tired to fill out a personal check every single day or doing it through bank transfer.

That’s it. Any help or complementary comment welcome.

    Thanks in Advance.

    @ProductsCaracheo
Our Stripe Commissions & Gateway Plugin is designed to work with WC Vendors, so no- you’d need WC Vendors for it to work properly.

However, since WC Vendors is free (since you do not need a front-end interface you would not need WC VENDORS PRO) – you *could* use WC Vendors and have You as the site admin, and your partner as a “vendor”.. and set commissions to 50. That would split the payments at checkout. Only the “vendor” would pay the Stripe transactions fees, though– and shipping would possibly be an issue as well, as the shipping funds would all go to the admin if you use any shipping plugins or calculate shipping. So you still may have to settle out some payments at the end of the month or something to even out the Stripe fees and the shipping funds collected from the customer(s).

That is the only way I can see this working for you- but it actually could work in that fashion.

Let me know if you have any other question or need more info. You might want to test ot WC Vendors free on a dev site just to see how this may work for your scenario.
