    I had no idea @svenl77 was even writing this, just came up on a google search keyword alert a few minutes ago. But, it’s one of the first free plugins written by a third party to extend WC Vendors Pro, so I thought I’d give him a shout out and a thanks here.

    Do you run BuddyPress? Do you run WC Vendors Pro? Good! This plugin is for you. What it does is rather simple. It makes /members/username/vendor-dashboard/ possible, instead of using /dashboard/ for the Pro Dashboard. Fully integrates with BuddyPress. Easy to use, install, activate, and it just works.

    Note: If you use the KB code for redirecting vendors to the vendor dashboard when they login on the my account page, you’ll want to disable that first, since Sven uses the same function name as in the KB code and it will clash.

    hmmm… well I got the white screen of death upon activation. I’ll work on it in the morning. Hopefully I can figure out why that happened on my site. It looks great and I hope to be able to use it. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Anna: If you’re using the KB code to automatically redirect Vendors to their dashboard, you’ll want to disable that function (or rename it) since they copied/pasted it from our KB to their plugin. It’s probably the duplicate function name conflict.

    Hi @ben,

    wow you are quick. Many Thanks! I have just released it yesterday and never thought it gets recognised so fast. The plugin needs some intensive testing. I have developed it in the last days for a nice customer allowing me to release it as free extension.

    I have just released a new version which fix the issues you mention above and in the ticket.

    btw. Where is the right place to ask some coding questions and give feedback for the wc vendors pro? I have some feedback and want to ask for some hooks and filters so I not need to duplicate code.

    Many thanks for all your work and feedback.

    Cheers,
    Sven

    No worries- Although I did not use the re-direct in the KB, I have used a lot of the BP integration you have in the KB as well as much of my own. I’ve heavily integrated with BP. So, likely it is one of the many snips of code or functions conflicting. I will be looking at it today to try and figure out the conflict, because I would very much like to use this plugin. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    @fervous in the latest version I have prefixed all functions. Issue should be fixed.

    @svenl77
    Yeah! It is working great now. Re-naming the functions solved the conflict. ๐Ÿ™‚

    I had a couple of duplicate functions because of the integration I have already done using the codes form the KB here- but I have fixed that, which is simple. I just had to take out the duplicate functions in my child theme functions.php. Now it is all tidy in your plugin. ๐Ÿ˜€

    This is a wonderful integration- thank you so very much for sharing this with us!

    @svenl77 — I’ve added you as a collaborator on the WC Vendors Pro repo with read access on GitHub – https://github.com/wcvendors/wcvendors-pro/ — so any pull requests, or issues, just create a ticket there and we’ll take care of them. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hello, there.

    I do have a conundrum…. I hope you can help or at least guide me to how I may be able to resolve this. It’s !important ๐Ÿ˜›

    The vendor dashboard now re-directs to the profile, which is great for users who are already vendors. However, if a user attempts to open a shop during sign-up now, the check box for “apply to become a vendor” re-directs to the BP Wc Vendor’s member/membername/vendor-dashboard…… which is a 404 page at this point. Also, I had an “open a shop” menu option for users to open a shop/become a vendor if they were signed up but not yet a vendor. This directed them to the vendor dashboard aka signup form……. which also now re-directs to member/membername/vendor-dashboard also now showing a 404 page.

    Again, if a member is already a vendor, the dashboard is working beautifully and it is superb ๐Ÿ™‚ . But I need to try and figure out how to get the non-vendors who are trying to apply to become a vendor and the new sign-ups trying to sign up and apply to become a vendor to a signup form page that will work and enable vendor signup. Currently with this plugin enabled, vendor sign-ups are disabled.

    Thanks @ben will create my feedback as github pull requests.

    @fervous
    thanks for pointing me on this. You are absolutely right! I have never thought about this. Looks like you are the first person testing the plugin deeply. I will create a check if the user is a vendor and if not use the normal dashboard and not redirect to member profile.

    It would be super helpful if you add your feedback as issues in github. The WC Vendors forum is not the right place to continue report issues and give feedback.

    Cheers,
    Sven

    @fervous forgot the github link ๐Ÿ˜‰ https://github.com/Themekraft/BP-WC-Vendors

    I have released version 1.0.2 and add a check if the user role is vendor and only redirect to the profile if the user is a vendor.

    Please test it should work now as expected.

    @svenl77
    Thank you!
    I will use github now to communicate about this plugin.
    For the record, the fix you implemented and provided in the update solves the issue with the registration. A+

    Oooh how cool is this Ben! A theme made for WCVendors and now people are making plug in’s! ๐Ÿ˜€ Yay!

    Thanks so much @svenl77 this looks fab! ๐Ÿ˜€
    Is it easy enough for us to change the ‘Vendor Dashboard’ tab name to just dashboard for instance as we don’t use the word Vendor in UK really.

    Many thanks,

    Karen

    Hi @Conscious

    you are absolutely right. I have changed the plugin so it use the title from the pro dashboard page. For all the sub nav’s I have added the wcvendors translations.

    I will release a new version soon. Till than you can use the github version: https://github.com/Themekraft/BP-WC-Vendors

    Is it possible somehow to get the navigation elements translated? The problem is solely for the navigation – the top and submenu.

    I saw that you’ve used the WC Vendor translations for the submenu. But what about the topmenu from BuddyPress? My Danish translation is not catching on…

    Sorry. I just needed to update my Danish language pack. Carry on…
