NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

As of August 31, 2017 (12am EST) our support forums will be retired (read-only), and we will be moving to a support ticket system.  This will allow us to better organize and answer support requests, and provide a more personalized experience as we assist our customers.

    Hey there,

    Is there any way of having it so if someone buys multiple items from a single seller that they are only charged a single rate. Alternatively they are only charged a small amount per item after the first?

    Then is it possible if they purchased from various sellers for it to work the same without effecting other people shipping fees. So they always remain seperate. It gets extremely expensive if someone purchases loads of items from the same seller if they are not split.

    If there is anything we can do, please let me know 🙂

    We’ll have this feature very soon with the new shipping options in Pro version 1.4
    It should be released within a month or so.. 🙂

    v1.4 shipping features:
    So far, for Flat Rate, we should have these features added:
    Minimum spend per vendor for shipping (store level)
    Maximum spend per vendor for shipping (store level)
    Max spend per product ( Charge no more than X no matter qty ) (product and store level)
    Per order flat rates ie: $5 no matter the items international and national (store level)
    Free shipping over x spend ( store level, product level? )

    For country Table rate, these features should be added:
    zip codes
    zip code wildcard
    zip code ranges
    qty overrides per entry
    Max spend no more than $X no matter qty (product and store level)
    Remove any flat rate shipping options from shipping configuration in admin area when selected
    Show country rate table for admin override and calculate shipping based on this.

    Anna,

    When you say that the country table rate would allow
    -zip codes
    -zip code wildcard
    -zip code ranges

    Does this mean that a vendor can put in a range of zip codes (like all zipcodes of their city) and then they can assign a separate shipping cost to it?
    So any customers withing that zipcode range will then have the appropriate shipping charge applied?

    AND when you say zipcodes will this also mean postal codes (Canada’s version of Zip Codes)

    I believe so, yes. (to all of your questions).
    I now have a beta version of 1.4 that i can test and play with- it is not ready yet but I will mess with it later today and see if I can get you a more clear answer for you.
    I do believe that the wildcard and ranges will function as you have described, and that this will also apply to Country Postal codes that are similar to zip codes.

    Oh Anna this enhancement is sounding pretty awesome!

    If each vendor can create their own tables based on zip/postal codes then that would be amazing! I’m anxiously waiting for the new release to see what it can do!

    Great work to all of you on the WC Vendors team for your awesome work and continued improvements to your plugin. For many of us the “multi-vendor” plugin is vital to our marketplace operations and I hope we can all continue to support you so you can support us.

    I hope the new shipping features can at least meet some of your needs.
    I’ve still yet to really dig into testing- there are still things being buttoned up- but I hope that it will work well for your marketplace.
