I ran into an issue today where a customer purchased two items, two t-shirts for $20 each. I only received a $3 connect fee from Stripe instead of $6. My commission rate is 15% for myself and 85% for vendors. I am assuming Stripe is setup to charge my vendors the processing fee. I checked both products on the site and neither have a custom commission rate. Both by the same vendor and in the same cart. I am not sure what is causing this or where to begin tracking it down. Any idea what is going on here?
June 17, 2016 at 11:27 pm #35072WC Vendors SupportParticipantJamie is doing some work on Stripe today and tomorrow, so I’ll have him check this out just to make sure it isnt an issue with us.
June 17, 2016 at 11:35 pm #35073Joey BordelonParticipantI may also add, my commission shows up as an application fee in stripe. Is this correct? It does not come across as a “credit” per say but instead an application fee. This may be correct and how it is supposed to come across, but I thought I would add this info incase I have something setup wrong in my Stripe gateway or application.
June 17, 2016 at 11:40 pm #35074WC Vendors SupportParticipantYup, that’s correct. Stripe considers your website an authorized “application”. As such, the vendor pays a fee to you to use it. That’s your application fee, aka marketplace owners cut of the sale. The vendor receives the rest of the commission. Their wording is weird, but hey, what can we do. 🙂
June 18, 2016 at 12:06 am #35076Joey BordelonParticipantNow that I review my orders, I am only getting a 15% commission on one product per this vendor no matter how many of their products are in the cart. Strange. I have a ~$139 order and I only received ~$3.75
June 18, 2016 at 12:08 am #35077Joey BordelonParticipantMy vendor dashboard for this vendor makes it appear as if they paid a fee to me for each product but through Stripe in reality they did not.
June 19, 2016 at 11:21 pm #35173JamieKeymasterHello,
I’m trying to debug this but I need more information. Do you have any errors in your logs when orders are processed for this vendor? I think I know what the issue is but seeing as you are the only one reporting it, I don’t have enough data to create the environment needed to debug.
cheers,
Jamie.
June 20, 2016 at 11:34 am #35193Joey BordelonParticipantFor some reason if you look at my Woocommerce logs, it appears nothing is there. This does not quite look normal, but I am not experienced enough with Woocommerce to know why this is. You have access if you would like to look at my logs and I have also attached a screenshot.
I had some orders go through this weekend, and the same thing occurred. I received commission on 1 item in the cart only and not the others. 🙁
June 22, 2016 at 10:36 am #35331Joey BordelonParticipantAny idea yet how to solve this? Still only getting commission off of 1 item in each cart and not every item.
June 22, 2016 at 12:27 pm #35349JamieKeymasterHello,
I’m having trouble trying to replicate this issue so that I can actually debug it. Are you only getting commission on one product from a single vendor in the cart or one product total. Is it the first product, the last product? Is it always the same vendor that is the issue or is it all vendors?
The way that the stripe gateway is written it gets all the commission details from the commission table and loops through each of the products to calculate the total to pay through stripe. This is working for everyone except your setup.
If you can answer the questions, I might have more chance of working out what is happening.
cheers,
Jamie.
June 22, 2016 at 12:29 pm #35350WC Vendors SupportParticipantAlso, do test using the
WC Vendors Test Gateway
so we know if it’s WC Vendors, or if it’s Stripe, causing the problem….. When one fails and the other works then we can get cookin!June 22, 2016 at 12:38 pm #35352Joey BordelonParticipantI have not had any other orders for the few other vendors that we have, so I am not sure how I can test this for you without setting off a red flag to them. So currently it is the same vendor and is happening to every order placed for that vendor. I have not had any orders that contained multiple vendors in the same cart yet either in order to diagnose how that performs.
After reviewing previous orders, it appears to be the last item in the cart that fees are taken on and none of the others.
I hope this may help. Anything else I can check or provide for you?
June 22, 2016 at 12:40 pm #35353Joey BordelonParticipantOk. I will try the WC Vendors test gateway now.
June 22, 2016 at 12:46 pm #35354Joey BordelonParticipantAlso, I should note that the Pro Dashboard is reflecting that commission was taken on each product. So the vendor actually receives more money in their stripe account then expecting and I receive less collected fees then expecting. The dashboard shows everything correctly, stripe is depositing money or taking fees incorrectly.
June 22, 2016 at 12:51 pm #35356Joey BordelonParticipantWhen using the test gateway, How will I know if Stripe would have taken commissions properly? The system as it is currently setup, already adjust commision rates properly in the dashboard setting. Is there a front end dashboard for admins to show commissions or anything when using this test gateway?
June 22, 2016 at 12:52 pm #35357Joey BordelonParticipantI should also add that this goes all the way back to the very first order for this particular vendor. If that means anything.
June 22, 2016 at 3:59 pm #35380JamieKeymasterHello,
Create a test vendor and a couple of test products (you can hide them from your catalog) and see if it is doing the same for that new vendor. If it is, then we know it’s something site wide, otherwise it could be something to do with that particular vendor.
The Test gateway will tell you if the commissions are actually being calculated correctly and would lead us to stripe or commissions.
cheers,
Jamie.
July 7, 2016 at 3:36 am #36532Michael BobroveParticipantHi guys,
Any updates on this issue? I am experiencing the same problem; “only getting commission on one product from a single vendor in the cart.”
It seems like I’m getting commission on the last product from each vendor.
If in the cart,
Product A – vendor 1
Product B – vendor 1
Product C – vendor 2
Product D – vendor 2then I get commission on product B in the Stripe account owned by vendor 1 and on product D in another Stripe account owned by vendor 2. I think…, it looks like it.
I created a new vendor and tested purchase but the problem remained.
I’m not sure what you mean by “test using the WC Vendors Test Gateway”.
I hope you can replicate the problem and start working on it soon!! Please keep us posted.
Thanks!
EmuJuly 7, 2016 at 5:56 am #36536Michael BobroveParticipantAlso, per vendor and per product commission rates don’t work when I apply them to variable products.
Is it how it supposed to be? If it is, please let me know. If not, I would appreciate it if you cold look into this issue as well.
Thank you so much.

July 7, 2016 at 2:30 pm #36566WC Vendors SupportParticipantNo update, Jamie’s been asking people to run tests, nobody does, so until someone can do as Jamie has asked, the issue is dead in the water.
July 7, 2016 at 9:47 pm #36590Michael BobroveParticipantOh… Well, I tried to answer some of the questions Jamie asked in my first post and I would help you run tests. I want this issue solved.
Please be patient though if I don’t understand what you tell me to do, I’m not a programmer and also English is my second language.
As I mentioned in my first post, I didn’t get what you mean by “test using the WC Vendors Test Gateway”. Is it when I test it on my local server with 4242~ credit card number? If it is, then I see the same problem with test gateway.
Here are the answers to some of the questions I missed the last time I tried to reply to Jamie.
>Do you have any errors in your logs when orders are processed for this vendor?
>>I don’t see any reports in >woocommerce>system status>logs. Any other places I should look to?>Is it always the same vendor that is the issue or is it all vendors?
>>I tested with several different vendors, new and already existed, but it happened to all of them. No specific vendor that created the problem.July 8, 2016 at 1:45 pm #36632WC Vendors SupportParticipantAs I mentioned in my first post, I didn’t get what you mean by “test using the WC Vendors Test Gateway”.
— Included in WC Vendors is a gateway, called the WC Vendors Test Gateway. Turn it on, and buy something with it. 🙂>Do you have any errors in your logs when orders are processed for this vendor?
What about your websites error_log file?July 11, 2016 at 10:50 pm #36873Michael BobroveParticipantI tested with WC Vendors Test Gateway and it seems like the calculation is fine. The numbers I see in the commission history are correct. Vendor commission rate is working too.
I didn’t find any errors that might be related to this issue in our error log files.
July 12, 2016 at 8:07 pm #37002JamieKeymasterHello,
Regarding variable products, the commission should be applied based on the parent product (variations are child products) if that is not the case then something is wrong. We don’t currently support setting commissions at the variations level and I don’t plan on building that unless we see a huge demand for it.
If your commission calcs are all working then something in the stripe plugin is spazzing out and I need to work out what. It uses almost identical code to our paypal gateway to determine what to pay who as it gets this information from the commission log. I’ll dig deeper and see if it is managing to not append the totals due to each vendor. This seems like the only possible explanation but if this was the case, then EVERYONE would be screaming at me right now :/
Will report back.
cheers
Jamie
July 13, 2016 at 2:12 am #37011Michael BobroveParticipantThank you Jamie.
I will wait for an update.
Regarding variable products, I don’t mean that I want to set commission rate for each variation. I’m receiving the percentage I set for the global commission rate even when I have the product or vendor commission rate set up to override the global rate.

July 14, 2016 at 6:45 pm #37213JamieKeymasterHello
Looks like you’ve found a bug at the same time someone else did ! I’ll be working on fixing this.
cheers,
Jamie.
August 29, 2016 at 11:09 am #41278Joey BordelonParticipantAny updates on this? I am loosing money on every order that comes through my site because I am still only receiving commission on one line item product per cart and not every line item. I’ve had 40-50 orders come through in the past week that I am loosing money on. Any updates on how we can solve this issue?
August 29, 2016 at 6:34 pm #41324AnnaMemberHello,
I will see if we can get an update.Could you please provide as much information as possible about the orders from which you are not receiving the correct commissions?
Also, please ensure that your woocommerce, wc vendors and wc vendors pro are all up to date.
I do believe Jamie has been working with Stripe, but I am not positive if this particular issue has been resolved.
August 30, 2016 at 9:58 am #41392Joey BordelonParticipantAnna,
Thank you for your help as we have been working on this one for a while now. Most of my current orders come from one vendor so hard to test across the board. I have NEVER gotten the right commission with this vendor. It seems to be calculating my commission on the LAST product in the order instead of ALL of the products in the order. I have attached screenshots of a recent order email, vendor email, and strip commission I got off of that order email.
The system seems to calculate right and show the vendor that they are getting commission taken off every product. The vendor actually gets more money deposited to their account then they thought. There seems to be some break between the system figuring out commissions and then Stripe giving them to me accurately.
I am using WCVendors Pro and your Stripe gateway for checkout.
August 30, 2016 at 8:14 pm #41455Joey BordelonParticipantI deactivated W3 Total Cache plugin and my CDN network. I am waiting on a multiple item order to come in now to see if perhaps this had something to do with the issue.
August 30, 2016 at 10:11 pm #41467AnnaMember@joeybordelon
I have passed along this thread to Jamie to take a look when he can.
He is not available right now, but when he returns I will check in with him again to see if he has any information for you.
Thank you for keeping this updated so we know what has been done.August 31, 2016 at 12:32 am #41480JamieKeymasterHello,
We pushed out a new version of the stripe plugin that had a few issues with commissions. Can you update to the latest version and see how that goes?
cheers,
Jamie.
August 31, 2016 at 2:16 am #41482JamieKeymasterHello,
Actually there is another release that hasn’t been pushed public yet. Please wait until @Ben wakes up to release it.
cheers,
Jamie.
August 31, 2016 at 10:09 am #41515WC Vendors SupportParticipantDone! v1.0.4 of Stripe is now released. You can download it from your http://www.wcvendors.com/my-account/ area.
August 31, 2016 at 1:22 pm #41520Joey BordelonParticipantOk, thank you. I just updated to this version. I will check my next order and see if it fixes the issue and report back. Thanks. All of my caching is currently disabled to rule out this factor as well until this issue is solved.
August 31, 2016 at 4:32 pm #41544Joey BordelonParticipantThis latest update seemed to fix the problem!!! Thank you very much. Just received an order and I got commission on BOTH products for the first time ever! Thank you.
October 25, 2016 at 6:08 pm #46104Aaron RoesslerParticipantDone! v1.0.4 of Stripe is now released. You can download it from your https://www.wcvendors.com/my-account/ area.
I only see version 1.0.3 in my downloads area? how can i get 1.0.4?
even your “Our Plugins” page only shows Stripe @ v. 1.0.3 ?

Fixed!
The correct zip file was available for download, but the title had not been changed to reflect the 1.4.0 version. -
