NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

As of August 31, 2017 (12am EST) our support forums will be retired (read-only), and we will be moving to a support ticket system.  This will allow us to better organize and answer support requests, and provide a more personalized experience as we assist our customers.

For the time being, we will leave our forums open for reading and learning while we work on creating a more robust Knowledge Base for everyone to use.

If you are a WC Vendors Pro customer please open a support ticket here.

If you are a WC Vendors user please open a support ticket on the Wordpress.org forums.

The information on this forum is outdated and in most instances no longer relevant. Please be sure to check our documentation for the most up to date information.

Many of us have made changes to this plugin based on our needs. What is the process to put them towards the consideration of the next update? And is there an update coming based on the various bugs that many of us have worked around of fixed on our own?

Soon, the GitHub repository will be open to the public to submit any pull requests to. (A pull request is a request to change the source code with specific changes). Right now, the repository is private, while Jamie finishes fixing a few more bugs. After its open to the public, there will be links here to it, and then you’d submit your pulls right on GitHub.

Many of us are living on our own islands and have never tried GitHub – time rev up and practice and it would be a good idea for many of us to experiment to part of this. Thank you Ben

Yea, GitHub can certainly be confusing at first. Once you’ve got the basics down it’s pretty easy to understand.

    Hello,

You will need to use either the git command line interface or one of the free GUI tools from github. They have them for windows and mac os x.

Here are some articles on git and how they are a bit different from SVN. The biggest being I don’t feel like stabbing myself in the eye when I need to merge things 🙂
