Good Morning,
I wrote my instructions to vendors on how to add shipping. I thought that the Global settings was flat rate but that a vendor could override this rate per product and have different rates per state. But now I see that the only option on the product setup is a flat rate as well. I understand that this will override the global setting but customers may not like being charged a flat rate if they are close to the ship from location… Is this correct or am I missing something. If this is correct is it going to stay? I keep having to change my instructions lol.
You can use:
Flat rate for your entire website
-or-
Country table rate for your entire website
You can not combine both here and there or individually. It’s one or the other. Having them work together would be a coding nightmare and present more problems than you can imagine. 🙂
