    Hi guys,

Thanks for the instructions on front end posting, I have that up and running. Much better than backend.
    https://www.wcvendors.com/knowledgebase/using-front-end-new-product-submissions/

The add new post works with this wp-user-frontend plugin via the short code embedded on a new page, but the ‘submit a product’ link in the Vendors dashboard now doesn’t work. It tries to create a new product but then redirects to the homepage. Do you know of a way to edit the Vendor’s link to add a new product so that it matches the wp-user-frontend plugin?

    thanks,

    Barry

    Hi Barry,

    Everything is in:

    https://www.wcvendors.com/knowledgebase/using-front-end-new-product-submissions/

….look for the part that talks about editing links.php with links to your new product submission page that you created with WPUF. You’ll want to replace the /wp-admin/ add new product link with your WPUF page.

    Hi Ben & Jamie,

I am adding PDF uploads with the woo_files meta key in wp-user-frontend to add the URL to Downloadable Files: URL. Could you please tell me the correct meta key for the file name as well please? Downloadable Files: Name

This will ensure the field will complete in the backend and then shows up in product vendor my-account for when customers download the files.

    Thanks,

    Barry

That is _wc_file_names for that meta key. I will add a heavy disclaimer, in that I dont use that field, which results in the buyer seeing the filename of the upload as the name. Since you can have multiple files in a product, setting the _wc_file_names might not even really work since WooCommerce likes to store that information as an array. Your mileage may vary on this one. 🙂

    Hi Ben/all

I tried to follow the “using the front end for new products…” instructions but noticed after downloading WP User Frontend plugin, that you need the pro version (about $50) to be able to create forms, which is essential to follow the steps you outlined (step 3 in particular).

Is there a way around this?

majaz: When that tutorial was written, the pro version and the free version allowed you to create forms. Did that change recently? I cant imagine the free plugin even being useful if you cant create a form, since everything is based on using the forms for the plugin.

Is there a “User Front End –> Forms” on you admin menu?

Thanks for the quick response Ben

There is no User Front End > Forms

Only Labels / Frontend Posting / Dashboard / Others / Payments / Support

majaz: Well, that sucks then. You’ve basically got two options then.

    1.) Buy WPUF Pro.

2.) Find an older version of the WPUF Free plugin (I *think* you can download older versions from the WordPress repositories, I dont know how, though).
