    Howdee!
How can I modify the product-edit.php in such a way, that the fronted-add product form submits fixed meta values?
For example price and sales price:
I dont want my vendors to set these prices themselves, instead I want the form to hide both fields but submit fixed values to the respective meta fields in the woocommerce backend.

However, I still want vendors to be able schedule the sales with the date picker field.

I could hide the price fields via css, but then they would be empty, and thats not really what I want.
    Any help would be appreciated!

I tried to figure it out myself, but I am slowly getting nowhere, any help would be appreciated.
Plus, I have a new problem: the date fields on the “add product” form dont display days, no idea why. (see screenshot)
The files I modified to achieve this, are the product-edit.php as well as the functions.php of my theme (mother theme, not the child theme).

Ok, ReHub/Vendor is heavily modified for specialized styling for WC Vendors. You may want to check and see if the template(s) have been overridden at all.
What exactly are you integrating? Are you just trying to set the fields or are you working on something else here?

This custom work is extensive enough that you would need to speak with myself or someone else about doing the custom coding for you at a cost, as this is all work that is outside of the normal scope of our support. I appreciate that you have found something that you would like to do on your site- but this is definitely custom work here.

Please revert your templates to the original state and see if the date fields are functional again. Without looking extensively into the tweaking you have done to the templates and the code, I do not know what has caused this problem. See if reverting fixes it.

If you modify the mother theme, not the child theme, then you will loose your customization when the theme is updated, which is frequent. I understand that in using ReVendor you are actually sing a child theme of ReHub, so this creates a challenge, since grandchild themes are not really a thing. You may need to see if the author of ReHub had any ideas as to how you can get around this dilemma, or you may need to create your own plugin for adding your custom function.

    Hy Anna,
Thanks a lot for the long and detailed answer.
Yes, I know that I need a quite different setup and that this involves some custom coding.
However, for now, I have found another way to submit products via frontend that seems to work.
So this topic can be closed, for now.

About the functions.php; yes, I know that custom code should be in the child themes function.php,
but this has not worked so far, I also had this problem with my previous theme.
So I need to compare and adapt the files each time before I update.

I will gladly send you a detailed briefing of the features I need when I reach the point where I can no longer do it myself.

    Have a great day,
    Best
    Flo

    Flo,
Please talk with your theme author so they can advise how you can best customize the files that have been overridden in that child theme.
Some of the themes that have been “styled” specially for WC Vendors have extra steps you need to go through to edit the templates, since they are overriding WC Vendors templates and storing them elsewhere..
