    Hi guys, me again 🙂

    During the last WCV update I think I screwed something up. I updated Woocommerce then, without refreshing the page, I updated WCV. Well, the WCV update just kept loading and loading… and I don’t think it took properly. Now single product edits take a lot longer than normal and bulk product edits and bulk order edits cause time outs.

    Query Monitor on a single product edit shows 2 slow queries

    I can’t get Query Monitor info on bulk product or order edits because it always times out. I’ve tried to bulk edit as few as 4 items and still get time out.

    Before the last WCV and Woocommerce updates we were running fast with no problems.

    Hosting on Flywheel now and I have not contacted them yet but our site’s always been super fast since we moved from Hostgator.

    Hello,

    You should be able to re-install without issue. We currently don’t delete our database entries (bad boys) but this means you can deactivate or even remove and then re-add WC Vendors and all your settings will still be there.

    If it is still an issue, it might be worth doing the same to WooCommerce.

    Nope, didn’t help. So is it safe to uninstall and reinstall Woocommerce, too? I also have a ticket in with Flywheel.

    Hello,

    If re-installing our plugin didn’t help then it’s something else. I would suggest WooCommerce reinstall as it was the plugin before. Hopefully your hosting provider might find something also.

    I’m still having big problems. I’ve changed the theme, uninstalled and reinstalled Woocommerce and WCV and we’ve updated to WP 4.3.1 but it still took 1:43 to bulk update 20 orders and over 3 minutes to do a bulk edit on 20 products.

    I talked to my host and they said to let you know that time out is currently set at 1200 seconds. With that setting we’re no longer getting time outs but it never used to take this long to do those bulk edits.

    I know you guys are busy getting PRO ready to go but do you think this is a WCV problem? Or do you have any suggestions of anything else we should try?

    Hi Ben,

    Thanks so much for this – it works like a charm 🙂 And thanks for taking time out of your busy day to help. I’m also going through the entire site and deleting a few thousand dead products, something I’ve been avoiding doing because of that long processing time.

    And thanks – I am pretty proud of our site. Built it all by myself. “Never had one lesson!” as Ferris Bueller would say 🙂
