Hi, we are tring to understand how WV V PRO works on shipping structure for every vendor..it seems that the admin can configure if the marketplace has to manage flat or table shipping for the vendors… but, is not clear if every vendor can specify his rules… for example:

    Vendor 1: SPAIN, POSTAL CODE 29120 3€
    Vendor 2: SPAIN, POSTAL CODE 29120 4,5€
    Vendor 3: SPAIN, POSTAL CODE 29120 7€

And we need to config for every vendor a few local delivery places, so the customer can choose where to get the order. Actually we can create a local delivery option in woocommerce but that is for every vendor..not for single vendors…

There is a admin demo for pro version of the plugin¿

    Thank you!

Yes- the admin can set the default shipping type & rates for the marketplace. This can be also overridden on a per-vendor basis if you would like certain vendors to have the other default shipping type (flat rate or country table rate).
Vendors, if using Country Table Rate, are able to set rates for regions and zip codes, yes.
We do not have a local delivery rate built-in for each vendor.

We do not have an admin demo at this time, but we do have a demo for the vendor side: https://dev.wcvendors.com
You can also see some of the admin features for Pro version 1.4 in this blog post:https://www.wcvendors.com/2017/04/welcome-wc-vendors-pro-1-4-0/

    Anna thanks for your answer.

we really need at least the local delivery feature because every vendor has various points where he can ship the order and than, his customer, can get the order… it’s like Amazon do with his delivery points… you buy an item and then you decide to get it in a delivery point near your block…

Do you think you can develop it for us?

Simply it can be solved by giving the possibility to add a custom checkout field for every vendor where they can put whatever they want, not just delivery point… i mean: it would be great to have a section where every vendor (or admin) can create a potencial infinite number of custom checkout fields to add custom information… we would use it to add the “multi local delivery” thing… i think it would be great…

Or, do you have a code snippet that we can use to recognize the actual vendor the customer is buying and so we can add the code to add custom checkout fields? this would be another solution…

Thank you very much for your time and help!

I am sorry but I am not able to come up with an exact local delivery solution for the vendors at this time.
The only suggestion I would have is for vendors to provide a rate for a specific zip code that would be reduced or free for local pickup. that, or try using the WooCommerce local pickup shipping for this ability.
When we can. we will work in more shipping options for WC Vendors Pro. At this time, we are not working on this, because we need to first change how commissions is calculated to be able to further expand shipping options and other features for WC Vendors and WC Vendors Pro.

    ok Anne, i understand completely.

Just one more thing: is there a way to programmatically know the current vendor id? i don’t know a little code snippet that can permit us to manage things in the function.php?

    thank you very much
