    Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has extended the way the vendors are billed to monthly/years based flat figures restricting no of products allowed on plan or something similar.

I came across 2 add ons
    1) http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-memberships/
    2) http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-subscriptions/

however I am not sure if this would suffice. If anyone can suggest a way that would be really great.

    Thanks
    ML

    Groups.

    Wordpress.org groups plugin
    WooCommerce Groups plugin

Create a group. Call em “Paid Vendors” or whatever. Then assign your Vendor Dashboard to only allow access by Paid Vendors group.

Create a product. Call it “Access as a vendor” or whatever.

    Done.

Wouldn’t that be a product though? My requirement is instead of charging commissions, charge a monthly fee as define in plan.

    For example,

Free Plan – Sell up to 10 products
Premium ($50 monthly) – Sell up to 100 products
Unlimited ($100 monthly) – Unlimited products
Some custom discount plan for vendor – Some configuration

Show this 3 plans as default while the custom one can be configured per vendor.

This would not allow you to sell X products a month, it would be “yes or no” access to the Vendor Dashboard. The X products per month with 3 separate plans wasnt in your original post. 🙂

We do expect to add a “Pay to be a vendor” module to WC Vendors Pro. It’s not going to be in the first version, but probably the second or third feature update (roughly).

    Hello guyz,

Thanx for this post and for the answer.
This feature is important for me too. Let the vendors chose a plan when they subscribe on the marketplace or change his plan in his vendor dashboard is a first important approach to drive a marketplace. Let the user chose a free plan or a charged plan with more options shows a professionnal and serious service.

Could you precise if the “Pay to be a vendor” module you are talking about could permit to do the thing that mlodhia asked (and precise if it will be possible during subscription process and in the vendor dashboard “plans option”?)

Or will a 3rd party plugin be necessary? In this last case, which plugin will be compatible?

Thank you very much for your precision.
    Best regards.

    Hi Ben,

With WC Vendors Pro, we have full control over adding/editing products. Previously, with WC Vendors Free, we only could provide access to add/edit products but not do much in regards to restrictions. So, with Pro, we can (and will) be writing a membership addon that allows vendors to subscribe for a membership at your specified rates and allow X products for each type of membership. I would not expect this feature before the end of this year, but it’s certainly something on our plate to take care of in the near-ish future.

    Hello Ben,
Thanx again for the light speed answer!
The timeline is ok for me, I like the near-ish future 🙂
I note that you are talking about an addon, so I imagine it would be a charged addon? Or will it be included in the Pro version price? Maybe this is too early to ask but if it will separated fees, would you have an idea of the price?
    Thank you.
    Ben.

    🙂 🙂

The way we will be working for addons, is that WC Vendors Pro is one price. And then additional Payment Gateways are a separate price (such as the $49 for Stripe). PayPal Adaptive Payments will remain free as it always has been, of course. The membership module will be pushed in a WC Vendors Pro, and as long as you own Pro, you’ll get that update free of charge. 🙂

I’m starting falling in love with WC Vendors 🙂
I have got others few interrogations about features which I research in a marketplace plugin (particularely a digital marketplace), but I will continue to read your forum and KB before asking it.
Many thanx again for the great support.

    Hello there 🙂

Just wanted to know about this feature we spoke about few month ago. I hope it progress, this is an important feature to make the marketplace really “Pro” (I mean the membership addon that allows vendors to subscribe for a membership at your specified rates and allow X products for each type of membership).

I would have some suggestions too if this is on board.

    Thanx mates,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

Zero progress has been made, we’re still working on variations/attributes for Pro v1.3.0. Still on our todo list, it’s just not a feature members here are screaming for and we’re working on the core features first. All in good time!

Easily understandable 🙂 Core features first.
I hope the membership will be soon (one of) the first peripherical feature.
Let me know when time will come for eventual suggestion, if possible.
    Have a great day m8!

I too am very interested in the membership mod and limiting the number of products per vendor. Please add my request to the list to help prioritize the development.

    Thanks

    Hello Ben,

Any startup with this function as i am also interested in this membership plugin with different products by different plans. I cant charge users until this is avaialble and do not want to go down the route of having this customised if we are promised to having something integrated by you guys- which will be perfect.

I would be encouraged to and would Buy the pro version immediately if it had members facility options as well as how it is now. 🙂
