Much as I have found wcvendors has ticked most boxes, especially the service provided, not having a suitable shipping solution has become a major source of stress for me and I have been desperately searching to find a plug in that could be used in conjunction with WCV.
On the WC Vendors page is says “Shipping Management through Per Product Shipping and Multiple Packages (and more coming soon!)” and before I take a reluctant drastic step just wanted to check out what was coming soon.
I have been looking at this to see if there are any options that would work with WCV http://ecommerce-platforms.com/ecommerce-selling-advice/the-best-ecommerce-platforms-shopping-carts-for-multi-vendor-ecommerce-marketplaces but it isn’t clear if they integrate.
Don’t want to mess the whole thing up by playing with something that is incompatible.

Most all of those are completely different platforms not even WooCommerce.
If there was a shipping platform that already integrated properly, we’d have it listed. The options you see are the only options there are.
There will always be updates planned, but the shipping system is done for now. There will be more upgrades to it after the orders and commissions system are rewritten for WC Vendors Free v2.0, which has no release date other than sometime in the first half of next year. Once the order system and commission system are modified for greater flexibility we can add even more shipping options, including possibly allowing ALL existing shipping modules on the market today to automatically integrate and work with WC Vendors/Pro. It’s a gigantic code base to rewrite and we’ll get there, but today we’re building out more Pro features as promised to our buyers.
