    Hello all,

Sorry if my question seems dummy, I am a newbie with wordpress and this is my issue : I would want to use WC vendors in French, but even if I only have French files in the “languages” folder, it is always in English!

I uploaded the last version of the plugin and there are the files I have in the folder :
    default.mo
    default.pot
    wc_vendors-fr_FR.mo
    wc_vendors-fr_FR.po

My woocommerce is in French. Is there something I miss?
    Thanks

I did like what is said in this topic :

But at the “Site language” step, I have “Français”, not the name of the file as said in the example.

Someone can explain what may be my error?
    Thanks

I’m not a translation expert, but you can search the Help Forums there’s been a number of threads on them to get you started:

Those should put you on the right path! Once you complete your French translation, if you submit it to us, we can make it available to other members, too.

    Hi Ben,

    Thanks for your response.
In fact, I already tried the proposed solution in those URL, but it doesn’t work 🙁 maybe I am missing something.

What I did : I created the wcvendors-fr_FR.po and wcvendors-fr_FR.mo, and put these in wp-content/languages, and now, I see wcvendors-fr_FR in the site general settings. But when I choose it as the language of the site, my wordpress and others plugins turn into English version, and WC vendors remains in English (I would want to precise that I didn’t translate all the file, only some expressions. Is this an issue?)

Any idea of what may cause this issue?
    Thanks

Ouf, I found where my problem was : the files have to be in wp-content>languages>plugins folder.
    Thanks for your help Ben.
    Have a good week-end!

Glad you got it sorted out! WordPress isnt too hard to learn, google is your best friend most of the time. Almost every problem I have, someone else has had before, and has a solution visible. 🙂

    Regards,

    Ben
