I installed WC-Vendors ,everything works fine except.when a already registered user wants to become vendor and he clicks on submit button. when asked “Apply to become a vendor?”, this page doesn’t redirect to any other page nor i as a admin receive any email notification stating that xyz user wants to upgrade as vendor.as well as that particular user doesn’t receive any email conforming his application status( i have kept “Approve vendor applications manually” unchecked).still user is not receiving.I have enabled notification on woocommerce>settings>emails>new vendor application. and have already configured an smtp plugin which works fine with other options like(new order , cancelled order, completed order etc..etc) except new vendor application.
I am using virtue premium theme and testing my website on http://www.wcvendors.com(in wampserver).

If you allow vendors to register, without requiring approval, soon as they click that box they are a vendor. No email is sent to them or you to confirm it.

If you require approval for the vendors, then the vendor, and the admin, are sent an email telling them their application is pending. Once you approve the vendor, the vendor is sent an email telling them their account is approved.

Woops! That was an older version of WC Vendors that we were testing bugs with. All fixed. Try again. 🙂

The dev server is just that, usually things will work but as we’re testing things out before pushing code sometimes it may not. 🙂

Yup, I just saw your app come in, and I also just approved it, too. So there’s another email. 😉

If it doesnt work on your site, it’s something specific to your site, or your mail settings, or your mail server, or the email address you are sending as for your site. Which one? Good question. You just have to keep fiddling around. Make sure your emails are being sent from @yourdomain.com too, not from a @gmail or a @yahoo account or something unauthenticated to your server.

everything else is working(i.e Email Options | New order | Cancelled order | Processing order | Completed order | Refunded order | Customer invoice | Customer note | Reset password | New account | Notify vendors | New Vendor Product | Vendor has shipped ) except Vendor Application . 🙁

Try sending the vendor application to [email protected] and then check that account to see if it sends locally. You might even consider a SMTP plugin for WordPress, as they are MUCH more reliable than wordpresses php send.

I absolutely understand the issue surrounding wordpress’s php send mail function not being reliable. And while I’m having the same experience as King, I noticed that on the email settings in woocommerce for this notification, unlike other WC notifications, this actually has a “recipients” field. I’m confused on that because this notification should only be sent to the customer, but it forces you to put a recipient on the approval status of the vendor. Could this be why it’s not working?

No, that field is something you can ignore. It’s not used and doesnt matter.

I’ve installed the plugin “Postman SMTP” and followed your advice from this forum: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/email-notification-after-vendor-approval/ and I don’t have a hover for the user to approve. No email fires not matter how I approve them on the backend (go into user and change role, or approve by selecting drop down from the bulk actions) – all other emails both in woocommerce and WC vendor are working 100%.

I really do think there might be something wrong with this specific function. Thank you for your time 😉

    Jeramiah — Try this:

    1.) wp-admin > users > add new
2.) Create a test user, with the role “Pending Vendor” (with a valid email address that you can check)
    3.) wp-admin > users > pending vendors
4.) Hover over the test user, and you’ll see “Approve”. Click it.
5.) Mail fires, to the vendor, not to the admin, telling them their account is approved

Disregard — I see I see it! For anyone else reading this you must select “PENDING VENDOR” from the menu

    All (160) | Administrator (1) | Subscriber (73) | Customer (76) | Pending Vendor (1) | Vendor (9)

    Then you select “Approve”
