    Hi there,

Does WC Vendors support parallel payments through PayPal?

    Thanks!

    Hi Shannon,

We support PayPal Adaptive Payments through Parallel and Mass Pay. In WC Vendors is included our modified version of the PayPal Adaptive Payments gateway specifically coded to support commission payments through WC Vendors.

    Cheers

Sorry, Ben. I have another question.

On your adaptive payments screen shot here: https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/configuring-paypal-adaptive-payments/, you have “Chained Payments” checked; however, if I’m using parallel payments, I don’t need the check this, correct?

Is there anything on my end I need to do on my end? I received this message from Paypal after applying for adaptive payments. I checked chained payments. I’m sure you’ve figured out I don’t have a lot of coding experience, and I appreciate your help. From what the message is saying, I think they’re telling me to simply uncheck chained payments, but I’m still not sure. Once I’m approved for adaptive payments, what needs to happen next to sort out the parallel payments?

    Many thank,

    Shannon

If you want to utilize a Multi-vendor checkout, we require you to use Parallel Payments from either the Adaptive Platform or Express Checkout: https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/docs/classic/express-checkout /integration-guide/ECParallelPayments/ In this case, everyone is responsible for their portion of disputes and refunds. The reason we strongly suggest you to do so is because a single credit card payment sent from a buyer’s account to your PayPal account will be considered as one transaction. If a chargeback comes in, the whole transaction amount will be taken out of your PayPal account instantly , even if the buyer only has questions on one of the products purchased and associated with this specific transaction. It is the developer’s responsibility to provide all of the necessary product and delivery information in order for PayPal to dispute the chargeback with the buyer’s credit card company. It is up to the card issuer’s discretion as to whether the dispute is approved and how much would be refunded to you. If you are not in charge of product fulfillment or quality, you, as the platform owner, are still required to vet and monitor your marketplace activities. As the API APP ID owner, you should still be able to facilitate refunds and payments through 3rd party permission APIs without assuming the full financial responsibility of the entire marketplace. Based on our recommendation, please consider to amend the integration and application submission accordingly. Sincerely, Xiaolei

    Hi Shannon,

We have chained payments checked that way if by chance we ever support them in the future, you don’t have to redo your Adaptive Payments application. No other reason. You can certainly leave it unchecked. 🙂

Once PayPal approves your account, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout > paypalap and fill in all the details. That’s it! Your vendors will add their PayPal email to their Vendor Dashboard > Shop Settings page. And if you have enabled instant payment or scheduled payments in your WC Vendors settings (WooCommerce > WC Vendors > Payments) they will get paid instantly, or on the schedule you’ve assigned.

    Cheers

    Ben
