Hi Ben and Jamie,
Thought I’d drop you chaps a line as I’ve noticed something strange since the v1.3 WC Vendors Pro update and was wondering if you might have any thoughts!
By the looks of things, when a vendor adds a new product, the “Featured Image” has started to be pre-populated with one of the images that already exists in the site’s Media Library. Needless to say, this then means that in order for them to add their own, this interloper picture has to be removed beforehand, and I’m a little concerned that new vendors who might not be too au-fait with WordPress/WooCommerce would be aware of how to do this!
It’s always the same image that’s shown, and it’s one that I uploaded to the site, and so technically should never be part of the vendor’s collection of images! It shows up even if a vendor hasn’t previously uploaded any images.
It’s an odd one for sure, and if you’ve got any ideas as to why this has started happening, then I’d love to hear them.

First time hearing about this, so if you could, please provide exact steps to replicate?
When I go to dev.wcvendors.com and login as a vendor, and click Add Product, nothing is pre-populated at all…… I’m unable to replicate this on our servers.

I’ve worked out why this is happening!
In my Theme, I’ve got Featured Images enabled on Pages (as well as Posts), and on the page where the [wcv_pro_dashboard] shortcode is located, I had indeed added a Featured Image. For some reason though, this gets picked up by the WC Vendors product-edit form! If I remove the page’s Featured Image, the “problem” goes away!
Based on this, I was wondering if you guys might have any clever tricks up your sleeves to allow me to have a Featured Image on the page, but for this to not get inserted in the “Add Product” form?
As always, if you’ve got any ideas on this, that’d be great!

That’s one hell of a weird issue that’s for sure. 🙂 I’m not a theme developer, so I cant speculate on why they are inserting it like that. I’ve never seen that happen on any other themes we’ve tested….. The Pro Dashboard doesnt need a featured image though, so I dont see the reason why you’d want to set one to begin with anyway, best to probably just leave it blank.
