    Hi there,

I am using the free version of WCV and I’d like to be sure of something before buying the pro version. I am using a “country+city+area” hierarchical taxonomy as I did not find any other way to do that using product attributes. Can hierarchical taxonomies be displayed on the frond end so that vendors can add their products location? If it’s not possible, do you know any way to display locations fields on the frontend using WCV pro.

    thanks a lot

Hi Arvin – I have added a location based taxonomy using GeoMyWp, this drops the location fields in the Woocommerce product area and even auto locates the address

However, the issue is that it only works on back end entries, the front end WC Vendors screen doesnt support that and I am trying to find a quick developer who can do the page change for me (getting the time to talk to a dev is the key issue)

You’d have to simply find the meta keys and values for the Geo plugin that it uses — easy way is to just add a test product in wp-admin and set everything the way you want it, then look in phpmyadmin at that post ID’s post_meta table and there’s all the data for it. Then, add those meta keys / values to the add/edit product form accordingly!

Hi Iยดd like to know if the WC Vendors Pro allow that vendors register their accounts to received direct from paypal or other gateway. My idea is charging for registration or listing, not charge for sales.

@cjmduarte — Please always start your own thread, instead of interrupting a completely unrelated thread. The answer to your question is no — however other plugins like s2 member, woocommerce groups, etc.., can handle all that for you. You’d use them with WC Vendors. Getting them to work is all up to you. If you have further questions, please start your own support topic.

    Thanks for your answers.
Ben, I am not a developer at all. The way you describe the solution looks easy but I am not sure I understood everything correctly.
If I purchase WCV pro, would you be able to answers few extra questions or give a more detailed explanations if needed?
    Thanks

    Arvin

    Hi Arvin,

We are more than happy to support you when you buy Pro. But the support is for existing features. Integrating custom stuff into your website is 100% your task. If you arent comfortable as a PHP guy, then you can always outsource it to codeable.io who are qualified to work on WC Vendors Pro, and lightning fast to get jobs done. We’re always happy to answer questions and point you in the right direction for how you want to do things, but getting them done would be your job. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Cheers

    Hi Ben,

I just realized that I did not receive an answer to my question ๐Ÿ™‚
Can we add custom fields in the front-end (with parent-child structure) ? I’d like the vendors to choose from the list or add a new item (and select parent item if needed). If yes, do I need any knowledge in PHP or is it quite easy to do?

    Thanks

    Arvin

You can add any custom fields you want anywhere you want. ๐Ÿ™‚ Basic PHP knowledge is highly recommended, if you get stuck in customization we refer people to codeable.io to get any custom dev work taken care of for your site at reasonable rates.

    Hi Derekk2110,

I am looking at using geomywp. Thanks for tips.
I was wondering if you succeeded in putting the field of geomywp in the wcv pro frontend?

    Thanks

    Arvin
